I see on SOG's website that they have the new MYW ticket prices listed. I don't see anywhere on the site where the dining plan is an option. Is that correct? They'll still sell tickets but not a package deal where you could get the dining?

Also, does SOG have the Mickey toiletries, Mickey wake-up calls, and Disney bedtime stories that the Disney resorts have?

Thanks!

I don't know about the dining option but would love to know that as well! As far as the mickey soaps, etc. the SOG does not offer them. I don't think they have the wake up calls either. Don't fear though, the SOG is amazing. The rooms are huge (largest on property) because the hotel used to be the Disney Inn and was designed to be a star property. It is very nicely done after renovation and you can't beat the price! We are going in March and have a room for $102 a night. Unbeatable! The lobby is beautiful and the gift shop offers really discounted Disney items for purchase.

I don't think you can add the dining....if it is not listed on that site...then I am pretty sure no. Now you could probably take them to the Guest Services maybe and add that. That is worth checking into......and something I just might do as well. We are headed back in Nov. No there are no Mickey soaps, mickey wake up call or bedtime stories. They have green apple soap dispenser bottles in the bathrooms. Also in the showers they have a container on the wall with green liquid soap and another with shampoo.

Now the rooms are HUGE.....VERY NICE. We felt like we stayed at a really nice hotel....but it doesnt' feel like staying at a Disney Resort. IF you look at my signature...we have stayed at a few...and the kids and I missed this. Matther or fact we are thinking of getting two rooms at Pop Century....instead of staying at SOG in Nov......but only if we can get a good discount code. You really can't beat the prices for SOG...no tax........and the rooms are very very nice and big. I would have to pay double plus tax to stay at POP.....

There are pros and cons to staying at SOG.....it just depends on how long you are planning on being there each day. For us...we were out the door between 8 and 8:30 and back around 8 or 9:00..so we really weren't there much.

SOG has their own dining plan called the Gold Leaf Package. This only includes dinners on their property though. We did purchase the plan for our upcoming trip in September.

The only problem with that plan is you have to eat there.......and their are only 3 restaurants...well there is the sports grill. WE ate the breakfast buffet 3 times....it was avg. Never did a dinner....we were always at the parks. So you will have to come back for those meals....just FYI.

SOG would do well if they had a food court in my opinion.

The SOG dining package offers both breakfast and dinner - and they do not offer the Mickey soaps and shampoos.... but they do have LARGE spacious rooms, a beautiful hotel and friendly staff.....

SOG is not owned by Disney so they will not have all the same amenities as a Disney owned resort. You cannot buy Disney packages through SOG or ones through Disney that will include SOG. It is a beautiful, quiet place to stay with large rooms and easy access to transportation. The tickets they offer are cheaper than the ones you buy directly from Disney partly because you pay no sales tax and they are slightly discounted to begin with. The add-ons like park hopping are full price, but still no sales tax.

We only ate dinner one time at SOG and that was our arrival day. The rest of the trip we had breakfast in the buffet. All the rest of our meals we ate all over Disney.

We love SOG and will be staying there in Nov, first time after the renovation. We get pretty Disney'd out during the time in the parks, so we dont' miss it at all when we got to sleep.
