More Skyliner Resorts?

i suspect Disney will sit back and see how the current Skyliner works and the crowd reception.
If it works well and people love it, would not be surprised to see it come to other resorts to replace the bus system.
AKL makes sense to EPCOT and hook into the new station there. Only a short walk to HS so get 2 parks off 1 system. To MK would be awesome, but not sure it would happen.
Would not be surprised to see more of the value resorts hooked up to the Skyliner in the future.

But the Post was about connecting AKL to the CBR Hub in addition to DAK. :)

I would hope that they would connect to the CBR hub for Skyway access to HS and Epcot, too.

I'm so looking forward to Skyliner but the system seems to really favor straight-line shots. DHS is already your straight-line west of the CBR hub, so basically to build the system out, you'd be talking about getting off at DHS and boarding a new line that goes south first then turns 90 degrees towards Blizzard Beach. Then probably get off and board again because Blizzard Beach would be a hub for DAK, CSR, and theoretically All-Stars. Then change again for AKL from DAK.

That'd be cool but a heck of a lot of different legs!

Can anyone let me know where exactly the gondolas will be at Disney's Caribbean Beach, near which building? As it will be the hub I think I want to request something further away from it.

I hope they sit back and see how it goes next summer. But I suspect they already know, which is why they waited till the Fall to open it.

Same Imangineers that taught Toy Story Land all being outdoors would be great.... as they had never before visited Florida. California the Skyliners Air Flow system would be more than sufficient most all year long, I'm wondering if it will work in September or October, much less next summer.

But all accounts construction at the stations was moving along where they'd have it open this summer... and then suddenly they slowed down.

I have no idea about the lightning and how the cabins, cables, towers, motors and other electrical systems are all grounded and protected. Lighting jump miles, it likes the path of least resistance... but it doesn't always take it.. But storms have high winds too. For safety I expect it gets shutdown for weather.

But it should be just fine when it snows in Florida... so no worries there.

The CBR Skyliner station is closest to Jamaica (across a pond from Trinidad). The Riviera station is close to Aruba. Farthest away would be Martinique

Not sure why you'd want to be further away, but regardless there's an internal bus stop at the Skyliner station.

Or, bus to AK, bus to AKL, save the ten minutes.

From Pop? Nah. Figure at any given point you could be waiting 15-20 minutes for a bus, right? You could get lucky and walk up and the bus is right there so say the average is 10. Two buses instead of one means ~20 minutes of waiting, plus the ~10 plus ~10 of travel time. That’s not counting the walk from the Pop to AKL bus stops at DAK (which I’m pretty sure are opposite sides, longer than the walk from DHS Skyliner to the AKL bus).

All told I’m thinking 45mins via two buses (unless you get lucky on bus arrivals and few ECVs), vs 40mins via Skyliner+bus.
