Perhaps I am doing this wrong but when using the online reservation system I'd like to be able to select my dates, type do accommodations and let the system give me all the resorts that meet those dates and accommodation types rather then having to pick a resort each time. I know that it will give you alternative resorts if the one you choose Is not available but it doesn't cover all the resorts. Seems to combine them by location ie if you want Boardwalk and it is not available it show you Beach Club. If you want OKW it shows SSR.
Is there a way to get all the resort for specific dates

No, there is no way to see availability for more than one resort/room category at a time, plus some alternatives the computer provides. The system is not set up to show, for example, all resorts with 2BRs available for dates you want.

Does it make more sense and be more efficient to be able to see all the 1 bedrooms available for a specific date for all the resorts?

I think earlier discussions on this idea suggested that the current implementation places temporary holds on the inventory returned to each query. I'm not sure that is true -- but if so, may be one reason for the limited display currently in place.

I'm all in favor for a better system ... but having waited so long to get this tool, long after larger more complex clubs were offering online reservations, I'm happy to work with what we have. (In the lingo of Parelli Natural Horse-man-ship, "Play with the horse that shows up!")

It took 20 years to get online booking, my guess is that it might take a few years to get global availability views.

I looked at it this way. I would like to have the ability to just check for all 2BRs (or other room size) available and the ability to modify an already made reservation on-line (not just cancel and make an entirely new reservation like you need to do now). I would also like the system to be faster than the moderately slow that it is often is. Nevertheless, considering Disney's history with on-line sites which has usually been, "Here is a new system, it is a complete disaster, but hopefully we will get it fixed within the next four years at which time we will introduce another system that is a complete disaster ...," I am not ready to really complain yet because at least what it has usually works.
