More questions from a newbie

These may be addressed to some degree in the Guide Book, but:

1) Are there any penalties or limits on cancellations other than those regarding calling less than 31 days days out or relating to your use year? I am just concerned that I will have to change dates two or three times and didn't know if that would upset anyone at member services.

2) What sort of discounts do DVC members typically get for cash reservations? Are these generally better than AP or other "code" discounts?

No problem making changes- they are quite accomodating! 25% discount IF available- at DVC resort, but you may be able to do better with codes

Well, if you cancel past your banking deadlines, you will need to use your points before the end of your use year.

I think it depends on exactly what deals are being offered at the time. I think the DVC resorts receive a 25% cash discount, but the hotels can be had for less using an AP discount. I believe this to be correct, but I may be a little off.
