We are doing back-to-back Magic cruises next month. I know you said you were able to stay on board (customs permitting). How do you check in for your next cruise? Do you check in for both cruises at the same time? Do you go to guest services to check in since you aren't leaving the ship? Were the laundry rooms open to get laundry done before everyone else starts boarding?
Glad to hear you had a great time. We can't wait for 14 days on the Magic!!!!!

Hello!
We simply checked in for the second and third cruises at Guest Services around 11:30. They delivered a form letter to our stateroom with instructions the night before (people must do this often enough to justify a pre-printed letter). I think the laundry rooms were open, although we didn't actually do any wash...we just packed enough clothing to outfit an army. The pools were sometimes open/sometimes closed, and even the hot tubs were a bit chilly, as they had just been filled. Overall, it was a very nice, simple process. The only thing to beware of is what hubby refers to as "music to clean staterooms by." At around 9 or 9:30, they pipe in LOUD music to the rooms. I guess it makes the stateroom hosts want to hurry up and finish! It drove us out and onto the deck 7 aft verandah. It is the same tape they play in the fitness room, so I think I will be hearing "We Built This City," "Video Killed the Radio Star," and "Whip It" in my mind for the next month!! Those songs will forever more remind me of our three-peat.

Didn't some studies show that music affect the speed of work and how fast we eat at restaurant. :smooth:

That's why we do not go to hard rock cafe... LOL :p

You know, with so many people doing this (back-to-back cruises), you'd think Disney would wise up and see the writing on the wall, and start doing 10,12, 14 day cruises. Maybe if and when they build a new ship or 2, they will. Wouldn't it be great to be on a Disney ship for 14 days without "starting over" after 7 ?? Maybe a combined eastern/western caribbean route.

Just a thought...

Yes, and while you were out there on Deck 7, did you wave down to all the poor suckers who got to the port at 8:00am and had to wait to get on board? :)

BeanoC..
sounds good to me...
i've been researching other cruise lines since it seems we won't make it back to the states before 2005 (although who knows...i find it hard to believe we'll be able to wait that long...normally we come home every summer)...
anyway, i can't remember which cruise line it was.....i think radisson seven seas, has a 180 day world cruise.....think that would be long enough?.......it starts in LA and ends in Fort lauderlale, sailing to tahiti, new zealand, australia, bora bora, guam, a bunch of countries in asia that have slipped my mind, India, kenya, south africa, a few more in africa, a few in europe, then on to south america (brazil etc) then up to the US....
of course you have to rob a bank to be able to pay for even the cheapest stateroom......

Well...there is always Radiance of the Seas - you just live there - they even included a grocery store!

Hmmm, what about a cruise through the Panama Canal??? 14 days is just perfect for that.
