More Poly construction to come........

So has anyone heard any rumors of more extensive construction at the Poly going into 2016-2017? I know that Tikiman stated that more DVC was certain to come, but I wonder if there will be more drastic added like another pool, or lazy river or such?

Just for the record I never said that there was anything major planned for 2016-2017.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me like the worst is over (i.e., when they were redoing the interior of the GCH and main feature pool and surrounding area).

Now it seems like it's mostly the east pool (which I would think would be done by early 2016 at the latest) and maybe some ongoing work around some of the longhouses.

The only other construction rumors I've sometimes heard kicked around are possible refurbs of Kona and/or 'Ohana. But I've never heard whether those are for sure happening and, if so, when.

Someone posted a pic on Tikimans FB page of a cherry picker outside Fiji. No idea what they were doing. And some scaffolding around GCH. Plus East pool construction. May have heavy equip at East Pool. Guess we'll just have to see.

At this point the major construction sounds like it might be finished. However, the east pool is still to come and is a fairly extensive undertaking, IMO. Also, there is the uncertainty of 'other work' to possibly be started over the next few months. We know little about this and even less about the potential impact that such work might have upon a resort stay at the Poly. You either have to be willing to accept whatever construction happens, or be willing to stay somewhere else and potentially be disappointed to learn that it would have been OK to stay at the Poly.

the uncertainty worries me, so I just avoid the Poly for the time being. We still visit the Poly for a meal and a walk around each trip. I have been waiting since early 2013 (6 trips now), hoping to stay at the Poly each time. We are now hoping to book a stay in January, but we are waiting to see what the situation is when we go in Nov before we book. After the most recent changes in how

No, the 2016-2017 was just a time frame I came up with. But you did say that there was more DVC to come, no doubt.
