Need help with a question...My family has the DVC and I would like to use more points than we have. Is it possible to purchase points from other members, purhcase more points directly from WDW, or rent someone else's membership? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You can do any of the following:

Rent points
Add more points to your contract through purchase
Have another member transfer points to you (via rental)
and...
Depending on how many point you need, you can also do a one time point purchase. You can buy up to 24 points at $15 each if you need 24 or fewer points to make your reservation.

Depends on how many more points you need. You can purchase up to 24 one-time-use points from DVC for $15 per point. This can be done only once per UY.

If you need more than 24, you can either get points transferred in from another member or "rent" a reservation from another member and then link that to your reservation for a continuing stay.

You have a couple of options:

1)You can buy a transfer of points from another member. MS will do a three-way call with both members and transfer the points from one person's account into the other. Unless it is the same resort and UY, the points likely will not show up in your online account, so you'll have to use MS to make a reservation to use those points.

2) You can rent a reservation from another member, but that member would retain control over that reservation until you check in.

3) Disney offers one-time use points for $15 apiece (up to 24 and you can only purchase them once per UY). and they can only be used at inside the seven-month window.

You are only allowed one point transfer (in or out, not both) per UY.
