More online check-in questions - Kidani - two rooms

We have two rooms reserved with two different reservation numbers. (We have a "travel with" associated with both ressies.) I'm assuming we can do online check-in, and there aren't any computer glitches with doing that. The biggest question is, should we?

Our cast of characters include two people with asthma, one of which is my 87 yo mother, my 5 month pregnant DD, and a 2 yo. There are others, but you get the picture. We CANNOT have rooms far from the lobby. At booking, I requested between Rafiki elevator and the lobby. I was assured that that request is indeed on both reservations. I'm a bit nervous about that. We'll be using the pool. We'll also have at least one car. Some of our party will be taking ME, so they'll be arriving with gobs of people...maybe. My hubby may be driving, and arriving before DMom and me.

So, I need pros/cons for us doing online check-in. Also, can I check in for my daughter? She is the lead person on the other ressie. The plan is to get extra keys for both rooms so we both have access.

Online check in doesn't really gain you much other than maybe shortening the check in process.

If you have health issues you can have MS refer you to a special needs group that may be able to help you.

I'm not being disrespectful but your party will be walking for miles every day so how will a room close to the lobby be beneficial? Are you driving a car? The parking garage is below the resort so close to lobby may make your walk to the car longer.

Do you need a ECV for Mother? There are on site and off site rental companies.

I would try to arrive early and work with the Front Desk.... and start making some priorities.

Which is MORE important... close to lobby or close together? By asking for both you have them probably putting "together" as the higher profile. So if there are two rooms near lobby buy not close together you don't get them.


If you do have true "special" needs then have that noted and that should be dealt with but that may mess up close together.

You really are making it harder by asking for both IMHO. You want a VERY specific location and close together... gets harder. Pick one!

We do know we'll be walking a lot. I'm also not one to "throw fits" if we don't get what we "want"...the world isn't gonna come to an end because of that.

I was just debating about whether or not to do online check-in. As per normal, I'm probably over-thinking.
