I have just recently found out about discount codes, not sure what they are really just read some about them.

I would like to go ahead & book my vacation now so i can start paying on it. We are going June 26-july1 or 2nd. I am still unsure if i want to do resort & tickets or just resort then get tickets later. Anyway if i go ahead & book this on or the other can i still be eligble to get any of the discount codes applied to my reservation.

What if there is a better code for a package & i only booked the hotel stay can that be changed. vise versa.

Also what exactly are these codes? How much do they normaly save you?

One more ? I am going for contemporary it says $214.- 1300.+ What does the tower rooms genrally run are they the $1300+

Yes, you can apply a discount code to an existing ressie, as long as you're eligible for the code and there are rooms at your resort that are available with the code.

If you decide to book a package with a code instead of a room-only ressie, it is very easy to make that change. The room-only ressie gets cancelled and the package gets booked. You would have to pay any difference between what you've already deposited (one night's fee) and the cost of a package deposit (about $200). You should also be aware that the cancellation policies are different for room-only and packages. For packages, you must pay in full 45 days out and there are penalties for cancelling anytime after that 45-day mark. For room-only, you can cancel up to 5 days out and final payment is due when you check in.

The "codes" are a few letters (like XYZ) that you would mention to CRO when you phone to make your ressie. They usually cover a set number of days and in most cases they must be applied before a deadline. Some codes are for the specific use of Florida resisdents, Canadians or AP holders. The savings can vary, depending upon the season and the type of resort that you're staying at. Last year, I stayed at a deluxe resort during value season and I saved $85/night off the rack rate. That was an AP rate. Later this month, I'll be staying at POR (a moderate resort) , again during value season, and I'll be saving $55/night off of the rack rate using an AP code.

The $214/night would be for garden wing rooms. The $1300/night would, in all likelihood, be for a suite. The rack rate for tower rooms during peak season (and that would be when you're going) would be $450/night.
