Hi Everyone-

Well, our anniversary trip is getting closer, and I have more questions.
Has anyone seen the Cirque show on Randall's Island? I've made the leap and ordered the tickets, and am trying to get an idea of how the ferry transportation works. We're planning on catching the ferry from e 34th street, and don't exactly know where we're going!!
Of course the spanner in the works is that we're going to a Saturday matinee (Mamma Mia!) at 2, and have tickets for Cirque at 8. If we get out of the show by 4:45 - 5 p.m. , would we be able to make the 6:30 p.m. ferry? How late does the ferry run?

Help!!!!

I have no idea -- but wanted to say you will love Mama Mia. BTW you might want to post this on the Community Board, there seem to be a lot of NYC experts over there.

Thanks!!
The last time I asked about NYC info, I had better luck here, but I'll post over there too....

If you go to www.cirquedusoliel.com/metrocard you will find directions on how to get to Randall's Island using New York City transit.

I saw your question yesterday and couldn't answer it. This morning on the subway, I saw the advertisement and thought of you! :D

Hi Flower...

I live in NY and saw Varekai when it opened and thought it was great. This was my second Cirque show after La Nouba and now I am hooked. My boyfriend and I are planning on seeing Dralion in Connecticut in June.

We drove to Randalls Island so I am not sure how the ferry works.

Hope you have a wonderful time!

Thanks Everyone!!

We contacted NY Waterways (heeding the good advice of a fellow DISer), and now have our ferry tickets and our Varekai tickets- which both arrived today!!!
Now all I have to do is wait for "The Producers" tickets to arrive, and we'll have everything we need!!!

Thanks so much for all of your help......:p

*Flower*, let me know if you are still looking into restaurants to eat at. I can recomend one that not only has very good food, it has a room that is just for two people, very romantic! I think it is a five course meal complete with champange and wines to complement the courses.

As a matter of fact, I am still looking around at restaurants..... who knows if I'll be able to get hubby to come (kicking and screaming), but he knows that it's 'best behavior' time.

I have four pairs of tickets now (the last pair came in today!), and if he wants to go with me..... :teeth: :teeth:
