Hi,
Could someone give hockeymom52 and me more information on the dial up internet connection. Being computer challenged, I need it spelled out for me.
1. Is there a fee for the connection/ How much?
2. Are you charged for each phone call? How much?
3. Do you need to have your own cable? What kind?
4. Do you have to download a program? Is IE okay?
5. How do you secure your laptop?
6. What are the general airline rules regarding laptops?

Any help you can give me is appreciated. Thanks

1. For dialup, it's 75 cents per local call. You have to have a local number from an ISP, confirm with the front desk that the number you have is local. There is no high speed connection at PORS.

3. You just attach a regular phone wire from your laptop to the dataport on the phone (like the one from your phone to the wall at home).

4. You have to have your own ISP program, such as AOL, Net Zero, MSN, etc.

5. I secure my laptop with a security cable which I bought at Best Buy.

6. You have to take the laptop out of the case and put it through the security scanner separate.

Just to add to the great info DebbieB gave, the phone call is a flat rate. You could be on for 2 hours for example and it would only be 75 cents.

Be sure that the laptop is charged or you have the power cord close in case they ask you to turn it on at the airport.

We will be staying at POFQ and my DH was wondering about their internet access - I check the WDW site but it didn't mention anything about it. I assume it will be the same for both PO resorts but I thought I better ask.

Thanks!
