Hey everyone,

Sorry to start a new thread re: Halloween, but we are getting quite anxious about our upcoming trip.
Myself, DW & DD's -12, 9 & 3 -are gearing up for our tenth DLP trip, that will be our first for any "major" event.

We tend to squeeze every minute out of our trips - basically in the parks from open to close and we've got a few questions about the Halloween party...if anyone can help we'd really appreciate it.

1 - Halloween Party - do we have to leave the park and come back in?
2 - Do you get tickets from the hotel or in the park?
3 - do people tend to dress up all day, or just at night?
4 - will there be a schedule of events for the night party? (I doubt we'll make it until park closing, but we may try to make an effort to stay late if something "amazing" is scheduled)

Thanks in advance
Steve

1. No, the park "closes" for visitors who don't have the ticket. As in...they announce that the park is closing. In the morning you can get a wristlet for the evening with your Halloween Soiree ticket. And during the evening you will be asked quite a fair bit to show your wristlet. This is to make sure that there are no guests at the park who don't have the ticket for the evening.

2. Neither, you can buy them online or by calling the reservation line. It is possible to buy them at City Hall in the Disneyland Park. However they might already be sold out, or they're gonna be selling out soon. I would not take the risk of waiting until you get there, since it has never not been sold out in advance.

3. Adults are only allowed to dress up in the evening. So if you want to dress up, you have to return to your hotel at the end of the afternoon to do so.

4. In the past there has been a schedule which was given out at night, but there's no guarantuee that the same thing will happen this year.

Just to add, in case it isn't clear, children can dress up during the day (nothing different to a usual Disney day!). But as DLRPWonders says adults are not allowed to dress up until the actual party.

We are there at the same time but have decided to pass on the party. I hope you all have a great time!

Thanks for the advice :)

We've already paid for the party tickets, we just wondered when we'd get them.

It's good to know about the adult cosutmes - my wife and daughter are dressing up as Jack and Sally and my wife was planning on dressing up all day...thanks for that!!!

Are all the rides in the park open all night?

If you already paid for it, they'll probably come in the mail soon.
I reckon you had to give your address?

No not all rides are open, only a few ones.
Like Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain.
But to be honest... with an event like this you should not go for the rides, but for the entertainment.
And queues up to 3/4 hours are very realistic.

I'll probably chase up the tickets then - we booked months ago, but have just had an email so far...

We're there for 5 days from 28th Oct, so we've plenty of time to do all the rides and shows. To be honest, we're probably only going to do a couple of rides at the party. Most likely Phantom Manor - or "The Crazy Lady Ride" as our youngest DD calls it (we think she means the ghostly head in the table :) ) & POTC.

3-4 hour queues sound very daunting though...

I'm really sorry for the endless stream of questions, but will there be a Dreams show on Halloween night?

That's alright! We're all here to help each other haha.

There will be Disney Dreams show, there will be two actually.
Once around 18:00 for the people who aren't attending the party.
And once around 23:00. They're both the same.

Hi

We did the same as you ordered our tickets online and just recieved an email, after hearing that some had recieved their tickets within a couple of weeks (I think that these people rang up to book). I rang up disney to ask where mine where.

They informed me that they would send the tickets out a week before the event, as we travel on the 25th if they send them out a week before we would not recieve them.

After several compaints and phone calls I did manage to get my tickets (we booked the tickets at the end of June and finally got them in September).

If your tickets have not been sent and I know it states on the email it takes about 10 days, can you change them to e-tickets to print out or is there someway that you can pick them up at Disney.

It will be our first Halloween party and I am really looking forward to it, although I am quite surprised to look on the website and still see that they are selling tickets for the party, as I thought it would have been sold out by now.

I am quietly hoping that due to the recent reports that attendances have been dropping at the part, that Halloween week it is not as busy this year as previous years, but knowing my luck :lmao::lmao:

Re Dreams - I know they are trialling running it twice per night around 24/25 October (sorry if dates aren't spot on), but I hadn't heard that it will be on 18.00 on 31st. Is this definite? It will make my day if yes, as we thought we'd have to miss it to make our ressie at CM at 19.15 and knew we wouldn't be able to do both. If it is 6 pm then we will :cool1:.

Thanks for this.
We're driving to DLP, so we're setting off on 27th....I think I'll be giving them a quick call to check on this.

I've given them a quick call and they confirmed that all tickets will be given to us when we check into the hotel....fingers crossed :)

Yes, they have to since it's daily for everyone.
They can't exclude people who aren't going to the Soiree.
