More FP+ MDE issues

Yeah, I know, another FP+/MDE thread, but for good reason. I wanted to share that some of the problems are still not corrected. We leave for our trip on May 10th, so our 60 day window to select Fast Passes started today. Let’s start with the first problem, a few weeks ago my wife checked to see if everything was right on MDE, of course it wasn’t, apparently our tickets were missing. After spending an hour and a half on the phone with Disney they were able to resolve that issue.

Last night we were talking about what we wanted to do with Fast Passes, so we logged on the MDE and yet again some tickets were missing (mine, they were there before), after spending yet another 45 minutes on the phone we were able to resolve that issue.

Later on last night she wanted to change one of our dining reservations through the MDE IPhone app, as soon as she tried to cancel one of them, she received an error message stating the service was unavailable and we need to call to cancel.

Fast forward to this morning, at 7 am she’s getting ready to make our FP+ reservations, and yet for some reason she’s unable to do so from the MDE app. Therefore she logs on via our PC to make the reservations, and yes we are now able to do that, but believe it or not some of those FPs actually conflict with our dinning reservations (thought that wasn't supposed to happen).

Quite frankly I’m getting a little tired of spending time on the phone with Disney for them to fix their issues, to say I’m a little annoyed is an understatement.

Our trip starts on May 9th and l can only do on-line check in for one room, the other keeps saying "sorry error come back later". Its our one day pre cruise so no tickets. l guess l will see what happens next week when our on-line check-in is available for our week after the cruise. We also have a trip in December and it won't come up at all.:confused3

The whole thing is a disgrace. I'm trying to delete my account. I figure there's less chance of error if we are all under DH's account. I can't even get the woman from Disney to do that.

Apparently you can't. I don't know if this is true but I was pulling my hair out in December after months of issues and called to request the same thing and was told it's not possible.

Funny thing is I have two MDE accounts - one for each reservation for our split stay (see how much I trust the system? ;) ) and the one account has had barely any issues. The other one, which has our tickets linked is another story!

Sorry I can't help but I can assure you - you aren't even close to being the only one feeling this way!!

I'll be joining the fun tomorrow morning, as our FP+ window opens then. Can't wait!:rotfl2:

Ugh, so much of a hassle! Did you get the dining reservation/FP+ problem sorted out?

We are also arriving May 10 and I spent 2 hours on my computer this morning getting all our FPs sorted out. :headache: No major problems, but it is SUCH A HASSLE to make different FPs for different group members. I wish you could make less than three reservations at a time. We have one kid who is over 40" and one kid who is under 40" so we are splitting up a lot. I wish you could just make the reservations one at a time, instead of having to make all three and them change them to try to make the schedule line up for everyone in the family. UGH.

It's super easy to go in and change the time of a specific FP so that it doesn't conflict with an ADR. Should give you pretty much anytime you want since you're doing it at 60 days out.

I'm sorry if I'm asking a question that has been answered elsewhere, I haven't found it. Can you begin making your FP+ 60 days out if you haven't made a final payment yet (since you still have 15 days to do that)?

If you don't have tickets linked to the resort stay, you can't make FP+ reservations.

l'm not trying to do FP, l'm trying to do the on-line check-in for the second room, it says keeps saying that there is an error and to come back later. The first room no problem. Tickets and everything else are attached to our week after the cruise, our check-in date for that is next week.

Try logging out and logging back in again. It's most probably related to the recent string of glitches with MDE.

Your online check in may have worked. I had two rooms in December. When I did online check in I kept getting a message that said the same thing. When I called Disney it actually went through. If you see it say Modify or edit check in and not check in now it meant it actually went through even though it said it did not. I figured they fixed the problem by now but maybe not.

:wizard: How frustrating! Planning a vacation should NOT be this much hassle!! Hope you get it all straightened out ASAP and enjoy your trip!

I wanted to post a follow up to this thread, I sent an email to guest relations over 2 weeks ago about the issues we've been having. I was supposed to get a response within 9 days, it took right at 2 weeks for them to respond.

The response I got from Guest Relations was this system is in test phase and they are tying to iron out the issues and basically there is nothing that can be done at this time.

One tid bit of information I found out from guest relations, once you make your FP+ reservations, they can not be changed via the app. If you're in the park and want to change your reservations, then you've got to go to a kiosk to make any changes.

I'm under my 45 day window, therefore I can not cancel my trip, if I were able to, I would.

After speaking with Guest Relations I've never felt more unwanted by Disney, I truely felt they did not care one bit about my concerns.

I don't know what they are looking into, but they are supposed to call me back again tomorrow. I'll post another follow up after that conversation.

A little faith resorted in the Mouse, I got a call back from Guest Relations at lunch today with an offer for a gift card for all the troubles we've had so far.
