More DTD closures?!

I've never even been in the Starbilias store, just not my cup of tea.

But the McDonalds

How is that even necessary, that place is always slammed.

Everything in starabilias is 40% off and the one at DTD at DL has already closed. The sale is only adding speculation.

I can't wait to add one more "empty building" to the map of DTD :lmao:

Good job Lansberry, you really fixed the place up!

What are you celebrating?? Another empty building and urban decay at DTD

Good riddance to McDonalds. we say. There is a McDonalds EVERYWHERE in the universe. WDW is supposed to be things that are different and special. not stuff you see around the corner from your home. Why in the world would you travel to WDW in Florida, to go to a McDonalds?? Get rid of them, and put up a new and different type of eatery. You know, the fact that people say they enjoy and actually go to a McDonalds at WDW, just gives the corporate clowns the go-ahead to no longer spend money on new things, and cease to be imaginative.:sad2:

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, the fact that the DTD McDonald's is always PACKED shows that there is a demand and a need for something like McDonald's. Kids want it and let's face it, it's a cheap restaurant in a World where there are few cheap options. I would be shocked if this McDonald's closed!

To my knowledge there are ZERO vacant storefronts at CityWalk.

BobK/Orlando

Well, for us, it's about the only place to get a decent coffee after 10pm. It's also a place where families can get a meal without either a reservation or waiting 45 minutes. Doesn't bother me at all. If others don't like it, nothing says you have to go there.

My kids would be very upset if we didn't go and get their over price Mcnuggets and fries at least once. 4 and 5 year olds need a bit of home sometimes.

Does the McDs by the AllStars actually do better business that the one at DTD? I thought that one was in a strange location...

Agree about McD's having great coffee, second to Kona Cafe on property.

Now that Nestle is out, hopefully, we can get rid of that dreadful Nescafe.

People still eat at McDonalds? I guess so since it is always packed there. Too bad it is so cheap it is such garbage to put in your body (and kids!)

Oh yea, that crappy "liquid" coffee. Not even fresh brewed from beans on site.

Oh no!

Not Starbilias!

Now where will I go to buy an autographed Pulp Fiction poster? What about Elton John sunglasses?

if the mcdonalds is closing it can only be because disney are forcing them out. I bet disney see them as a low price high volume food outlet that they arent getting a big enough returned from. With mcdonalds gone, they can either set up their own mcdonalds type outlet (like they've done in the parks) and keep all the money themselves, or offer it to a 3rd party at rates more attractive to disney.

Theres gotta be some other agenda here, otherwise why is he still in the job?!

I hate to think what he's gonna do to transportation now he's in charge of that as well :sad2:

Well the reason is......... because PI closed. I know that many of us that hit the clubs would love to a late night snack of fries and a burger or some coffee. I'm glad to see that they closed the one adult aspect of disney so they could another construct themed eatery and shops....... which disney has none of.

My gf and I used to spend about 700-1000 per trip in Pleasure island. (it sounds more that what it is, 6 drinks a night each plus tip for a week). Now that money will goto citywalk.:confused3

The more disney takes away from us, the more profit they will lose. If you dont believe me compare the profits from before PI closed and after. I know that PI accounted for more then 20% of Orlando's night life income. :wizard:

Great move
