Part 2 will include Rainforest Cafe, Cape May Cafe, Pizza Planet, Lotus Blossom, Leaning Palms, & Ohana.

Rainforest Cafe- This was impromptu- we split the group up this day. Sara (my mother in law), Mom (my mom/Judy), Josh (my 20 month old) and I went to Rainforest Cafe and did shopping at DtD. Bob (my DH), Dad (my Dad/Gary) and Sam (My 5 year old) went to the Grand Floridian for Sam's pirate cruise and Dad and Bob swam while they waited. They had lunch at the CR's food and fun center. Rainforest Cafe was fun! It was my 2nd time to one and my first experience wasn't great. This time our waiter was quick and pleasant, there was no wait to sit down; we sat in the Gorilla room. I had the chicken wrap, Sara had the BBQ beef wrap and my Mom had the Chinese chicken salad. We all really enjoyed our food- tasty and the portions are HUGE, the ambience and just being the girls together. Joshua had the dinosaur chicken nuggets (they are exactly what you can buy in bulk at Costco, but that's ok. :D ) Sara had a $10 coupon and she ended up getting the tab too. That was so nice!! I think it came to around $50. I give it an A.

Cape May Cafe- another impromptu dinner. We originally were going to go to Hoop Dee Doo, but we changed our minds the week before. Mom and Dad went to Fulton's Crab house, and Bob, Sara, the kids and I went here. It was a pleasant surprise- there is a huge selection of food!!! Mussels, clams, peel and eat shrimp, salmon, clam chowder, pasta, prime rib, ribs, beef stir fry, lots of salads/veggies, breads, rice, potatoes. It was really worth going to. The kids buffet had chicken strips, mini hot dogs (sam had 3!!!), mac and cheese and fish nuggets. Josh had a little of everything. I had the ribs and salmon, Sara mostly had shrimp and a rib or two, and Bob had a lot of the shellfish and clam chowder. I LOVED the dessert bar- I had a bite of key lime pie, a bite of cheesecake, a cookie and I grabbed a handful of taffy that they have scattered around everywhere. The kids had a donut and some jello, and they just had tons of desserts to pick from- cobbler, tarts, chocolate cake....yum! We picked up the tab for everyone and it was $102 with tip. We also liked exploring the Yacht and Beach Club and the Boardwalk. Nice! A strong A. I love how they waitress gave us carafes of tea and diet cola so we didn't have to ask for refills.

Tuesday- We had a PS for 50's Prime Time, but we went for the casual option of Pizza Planet. We all like the ambience, as we are Toy Story fans. A fun picture taking opportunity. The food was okay and the line was s-l-o-w. We got veggie pizzas and the kids split a cheese pizza. The meal deals come with salad and a drink, so we did that for the adults, but not the kids. For two veggie meal deals and a kids cheese pizza and a milk it was $28. The pizza was ok- nothing great, but not horrible. I give it a C+, esp if your kids like Toy Story..there's the aliens hanging from the ceiling, so we ate upstairs to be close by the aliens.

We decided to go to Epcot for dinner...we wanted either Chinese or Japanese and Chinese won. I was starving at this point and quite grumpy...it was very humid and us West Coasters aren't used to the humidity...I was at the end of the week, but I digress. Bob, Sam, Josh and I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken combo at the Lotus Blossom. Bob also got a cup of hot and sour soup and a slushie for the kids to share. We got a diet cola (what is the deal with caffeine free diet coke at some of the Epcot fast food places??? The Land only had caffeine free diet coke too----if I'm going to give up the sugar, at least give me the caffeine!!!!) and an Iced Tea. It was $31. I know Sara got the noodle salad and I can't remember what Mom and Dad got. We all shared 3 combos between the 4 of us and it was enough, esp since Sam doesn't like rice. For $6 a combo it wasn't bad for Disney standards- you got a decent portion of chicken, a big scoop of fried rice and an egg roll. I give it a C+- they need to get some fans in their seating area though- it was stifling!!

Wednesday was our Typhoon Lagoon day- everyone else's too!! It was the first day of sunshine and it was hot! Anyway, we got the refillable mug for $10. Sara stayed back at the hotel with Josh- thank you Sara!!! It made it nice not having to chase the baby. Anyway, we got burgers at Leaning Palms. Bob didn't get anything cause he was starving himself to make room for Ohana. Sam got a hot dog that came with chips and a drink in a sand pail- cute. The drink thing was a pain, cause the restaurant we were closest too (Typhoon Tilly's) was closed!! So we had to walk back to Leaning Palms for a refill. Standard burgers and fries- did the job of filling our tummies. I give it a C.

O'hana- Wednesday night. This was incredible. Ok, we had a 6:40 PS. We arrive about 6:20 and poke around the Poly gift shop. Bob goes and puts our name in- the restaurant is maybe 1/3 filled at this point. He requests a window seat and gets that lame/standard "Sir, we can't make any promises. We will give you the first available table." Bob looks at her and says "We are willing to wait longer or be seated early for a window table." She rattles off the same answer. So Bob says "Then can I please see your manager?" Her face just dropped and the host standing next to her says "I'm sure we can find you a window seat sir- we have plenty of seating tonight." 3 minutes later our pager goes off, and we are slowly lead to our table. Our jaws all dropped- we were seated in the far left corner of the restaurant, directly facing the castle-----it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got our bread and were ooohing and aaahing over the view- I wanted to cry it was sooooo perfect. Our waitress comes right away and takes our drink order- we all ordered a cocktail for ourselves and milk for the kids. Our cocktails and the appetizers come right out and WOW- we just loved the wontons, salad, rice, the chicken wings....the veggies were a bit soggy, but everything else was first rate. Josh was starting to act like a complete pill, but we dealt with it. Sam participated in the hula hoop contest. Then our meats came- first the turkey and steak. Very good- very flavorful- we loved the steak....then the room dimmed and the fireworks began. Awesome. Breathtaking. Amazing. Perfect! Then came the shrimp and the pork. My husbands only complaint is that it was too fast- and like that's hardly a complaint! We weren't rushed at all. We got refills on everything and the service was top notch. We asked for hot dogs for the boys cause they didn't want to try anything and they were brought out in 5 minutes. The caramel and pineapple was great! Josh probably had 10 pieces!! Then my Dad insisted on paying the tab which was very generous. Thanks Dad!! It was absolutely an perfect meal- A+++.

Part 3 will include--Pecos Bills, Food & Fun Center, Mexican Cantina, Benihana, Columbia Harbor House
