I have read a lot of the reviews about crocs, but I still have some questions. We are going to DW in June and I want to buy some shoes to break-in.

Do your feet get hot and sticky in the crocs? I can't stand wearing leather shoes in the summertime without nylons. I don't want to wear them with socks.

When people refer to crocs are they usually referring to the clog type? Some people give a name to the crocs, but most do not.

Do you like the "nubbies" on the sole of the shoe?

Has anyone tried the Patricia crocs? I know a lot of people like the flip flops, but I don't like anything between my toes.

Thanks for the advice.

I wore my crocs this past August because the last time I went to Disney with my tennis shoes, my feet were covered by blisters. The Crocs were the best things I found. My feet did not sweat as much and no blisters this time. They were very comfortable with your feet able to breath in them.

I have never/will never wear them, just my personal preference.
I am posting because I work with someone who purchased several pair on-line with Finish Line for 4.99 a pair yesterday. I guess they are having a big sale to reduce their inventory. So if you are thinking about trying them, it might be worth it at that price to see if you like them.
I hope it is OK to post a store name.

I can't stand the look of "regular" crocs - have never and will never wear the clog-type crocs. But I wear the Cleo Crocs non-stop throughout the summer, including two different trips to WDW. They are the most comfortable shoe EVER! The Cleos are a sandal, kind of like a flip-flop, except they do not have the thing between your toes (which I don't like, either). Check out the Crocs website to see the names of the different shoes.

The Cleos are very comfortable and supportive, and I love that my feet can breathe in them. I can't stand to wear shoes that cover my feet in the summer, like tennis shoes, because I just get too hot. But the Cleos are just as comfortable as tennis shoes. My feet don't hurt a bit even after being on my feet all day at WDW. And I think the Cleos are cute, too! An added bonus!

And I wondered, too, if I would mind the little "nubs" on the bottom of the Crocs, but honestly, I never notice them when I wear them. They really are a comfortable shoe. But like any shoe, make sure you break them in a bit before you go to WDW. The Crocs will actually mold to the shape of your foot, and you want to give them a chance to do this before you get to the World.

Good luck!

I brought tennis shoes and Crocs on our last trip. I thought I would alternate to avoid blisters. I ended up wearing my Crocs the entire trip, and never had a blister the entire trip. I have the original style Crocs. I think your feet do get a little sweaty if you go barefoot. I wore socks with my Crocs, and my feet were never sweaty. Good luck!

Anoter vote for Crocs here, I've only worn the clog style, but I have both Beach and Caymans. In January, I wore Disney Crocs most of the time!

I don't think I've worn anything else since last summer. I find I have more of a problem with "sticky" feet in the house in the wintertime than I do outside in the summer. When we go in August, the Crocs will be perfect for walking through the fountains! They dry quickly and I highly recommend them.

My feet got sweaty and icky in crocs. I opted for my Teva flip flops, tried and true and can't be beat.:)

I absolutely love my Crocs. I have at least six pairs. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever found. I find myself consciously thinking about how good they feel when I am standing in line, walking long distances, etc. The only ones my feet have felt hot in are the ones with no vents/holes. I wore them in the rain at Epcot once and could not believe how quickly they dried out. My friend in socks and sneakers got a blister from her wet shoes.

I have taken my Crocs and my Lands End sandals on the last 4 trips to WDW and have ended up wearing my Crocs the entire time. I have the traditional clog type and the scutes slide - they're both very comfortable for me.

We bought crocs at Disney 2 years ago. My DS who was 7 at the time is not a complainer at all. He wore them the whole trip, I wore mine on and off changing different shoes. He had three pairs of shoes to chose from plus the crocs, he insisted on the crocs. We didn't see a problem with it, so he wore them.

This sounds bad, but it wasn't until we got home from our trip 10 days later that I realize he had 3 blisters on his feet. They were big to. We asked him why he didn't say anything and he said because they didn't bother him. I felt horrible and so did my DH. He loved them though.

So my advice would be to wear them and break them in. And don't wear them on any water rides as they tend to rub against the skin more when they are wet.

I have a wide foot (at toe) is there extra "wiggle" room in the crocs medium width?

:goodvibes if you don't love Crocs this is TMI:
OP Yes the Patricias look cute! And the "double cushioned, extra soft foot bed and the standard crocs circulation nubs" feel like heaven! :cloud9:

Love Adara & Athens and I take Asics Gel Cumulus sneakers as well

OT - also think the Capris, Malindis and Olivias are cute.:lovestruc
and love Mammoths and Nadia boots but clearly not to WDW :rotfl:

They're as comfy as Uggs & Bear Paws for me, just in a different way.

PP - about the sizing, there are good instructions on crocs.com about that, it def. helped me decide on sizes

i live in crocs year round only time i dont is when im out shoveling!!ony taking one pair of shoes with me to WDW in a couple of weeks my red disney crocs

Ordered my Crocs - I couldn't find the color I wanted at the stores around here - but at least I could judge for size/width - felt very comfy - If you wear socks, what type doesn't look TOO dorky? Very low cut or at the ankle? :rotfl2:

If I have to, I wear no show socks.

I got my flip flops and mary janes today! I love them!!! I cannot wait until our weather is nice enough to really wear them!

I have terrible blister problems. I have tried everything possible but always end up with blisters. Crocs seemed to be the only thing that my feet did not sweat in but at the end of a very long day my heels were in sooo much pain.
It felt as someone was using a hammer under my feet. The soles of the crocs are not thick enough to give me any cusion on my heels.

I have several pairs of Crocs and love them. We usually wear Birkenstocks to Disney, but our last trip I bought a pair of Disney Crocs in MK and ended up wearing those the whole trip! They were so comfy. My feet don't sweat in them and the don't even feel the nubs on the bottom.
