More Completed Page Swap Spoiler

Love them.. will be lifting these too..especially the frontierland.. LOVE that the whole thing it pop dotted up... :)

Really? It looks a little bit more curvy with the tales. I do have BaseCamp. It's one of my favorites. It cuts out soo nice.

So, now you have to describe how you did the candy coating. ;)

It may look more curvy because I placed the letters on the curve of the stitching around the layers in the shape of the cut from the CM decorative cutter. Does that make sense?

Then the border was pop dotted on top of the base paper. One of the tags has some matching paper sewn on the bottom of it that has different horses on it.

I used two coordinating sheets of reversible paper that I picked up form LSS Friday. The letters are Bon Bon doodlebug crusted cardstock. The Jolees were the Western Mickey. The plain cardstock is some out of the Bazzil pack from QVC. The copper ink was cat's eye. The extra large eyelets in copper are from my cropadile.

Question about the cat's eye inks

I use the fluid chalk with no problems, and dye ink with no problems.

What about pigment? I have at least 50? probably more pigment inkpads, pigment pinwheels and cat's eye that I inherited from my mom that are just sitting in a box. I think they have to be heat set, so I never use them on the edges of a photomat, tag etc. Is this right?

the pigment ink does have to be heatset. it's mostly used with embossing powder.

I've used cat's eye ink w/ no heating on the edges of my photomats, tags.. gosh please tell me I haven't been doing something wrong!!!

Nancy I have never heated with my cat's eyes. They dry nicely on their own.

I think you have to heat set it when you are waiting for it to dry to do something else to it like on vellum or glossy cardstock - maybe that is what the difference is. I think on Bazzil it doesn't matter -- it never has on my stuff at least.

Whew! Boy I was starting to really panic that maybe I really screwed things up... (not that that would be a first for me...but we never admit to mistakes as the mommy here! Mommies are always right!)

sorry guys that's what the told me when i took a stamping class at michaels. so i always did. never tried it without heatsetting it.

Susie - Your pages are fabulous! I love them all.

AWM - Don't run out and buy your Xyron. I'm not saying anything else. :rolleyes1

Ink Question - My LSS told me you have to heat set them on shiny/glossy papers but not on most cardstocks as it is thicker and will soak up the ink more. I do sometimes heat set them if I am in a hurry and don't want ink all over my hands but that is just my not liking dirty hands thing that I have going.

Thanks. I almost bought one when I picked up more paper for my Disney Complete pages.
While doing the Fanstasyland toppers, I was really wanting one. I thought maybe I should go get one this weekend.
But I'll wait. :rolleyes1

Well I am glad I asked. The ink possiblities I have now...I should really take a photo so you can see the incredible amount of inkpads my mom had.

Susie, those are really fabulous pages! :thumbsup2 I'm not in the swap, but I love seeing all the creative talent on these boards. Thanks for taking the time to share.
