So, according to my search, on the morning of 5/18, which is not predicted to be a particularly crowd heavy day, there is not a single Character Breakfast ADR available before 10 am, except for H&V.
I posted about this when they increased the park hours, etc. I think crowd levels are going to be higher than they anticipate and higher than our last early May trip (back in 2005 I think). We'll be there that same time and only booked the trip about 90 days out. Thank goodness I got some ADR's back then because now I can't get ANYTHING.
My kids are bummed we can't do Chef Mickey's this trip - I check 10x a day but still nothing!!
It is Disney's goal to fill a character breakfast, not have a half empty restaurant. If there are a lot of available ADRs less than 30 days out at a character breakfast, it is bad business sense for Disney. Hopefully you will be able to get something before your trip. Keep checking, the key to success is to be persistent.
Hopefully with the new changes in Fantasy Land there will be new character dining experiences. I can't believe that Magic Kingdom doesn't have any character dining besides CRT...

I am not surprised this close to 5/18 that there is little availablity since all character meals, not just breakfast fill quickly starting at 180 days out. Breakfast is particularly popular especially the times before park opening for early entry does not matter if the day is a crowd level of 1 or 10
