We are most likely moving to France in the next couple of months and I have some questions concerning APs. I have looked at the site with the prices and comparisons but for some reason I can't get the calendar with block out dates to work. Is the link wrong or is the calendar down/being revised or something?
I am thinking we will do dream passes because we'd like to be able to go on Christmas and other holidays and not be blocked out. How does this work for children? Are dream passes the same price for adults as for children? Our girls are 4 and 2.
I know most of the people who post here are from the UK but I'm wondering if anyone is from France. Do you find the passes worthwhile? I figure based on the prices for 4-day parkhoppers, it's worth it (especially if we go 2-3 days only at Christmas!) I'm sure we'll go 1-2 more times throughout the year.
As far as sponsorship is concerned, can you collect different sponsors for your APs throughout the year (a few here/a few there) and apply them right before your passes expire? This seems too good to be true! And living in France, it will be easy for me to sponsor people b/c I will be able to easily get to the park.
Okay, a few more general DLP questions:
1. What do the character meals cost? We were recently at DLR and for 2 adults and 1 child the Princess meal was $100! I haven't seen many reviews for the Disney Princess character meal on here... am I missing them?
2. DLR has the princess fantasy faire so my girls got to meet/greet/take pics with 3 princesses for free. I see that there are meet 'n greets with the princesses in fantasy land each day - how many princesses will we encounter there? Right now (and I think for the next few years) princesses are the center of life! Just want to make sure we'll be able to see enough of them!
3. We will be living in the Pas de Calais area so probably coming from Lille or Arras. I see that the TGV goes directly from Lille to DLP. Does anyone know if you can get annual TGV passes? I'm trying to figure out if it is just going to be cheaper (but definitely longer) for us to drive.
4. Between the two parks, is there enough to do with a 2 and 4 year old? I felt like DLR was so well set up for little kids! We did Playhouse Disney Live (which I hear is coming to DLP), the pixar parade (which was awesome!), all the typical fantasyland rides, and the monsters inc. ride. We got to see almost all the princesses through the fantasy faire and the dinner.
Anyway, these are the thoughts I have now... these boards are so invaluable!
Thanks,
angie
