Hi I hope someone can answer these questions because we are a bit confused by all the various discounts!!

We are going to DLP in November for my mums 60th birthday celebrations. Our Dream passes expire just before we go so we will renew them.My mum,dad and sister are buying brand new Dream annual passes.I am assuming that we cant sponsor them as previous post states.

Can someone tell me what the family discounts are for a family of 3 and family of 4?

Can you use your 15% shareholders discount in conjunction with the family discount?

My DH is the shareholder so would he be able to get 15% shareholder discount for my mum,dad and sister or is it just people that have the same name as DH?

Does anyone have any other discounts you know about?

Thanks

It probably depends whether the sponsor option is open.

Discount is only avaiable now for families over 4 people who have the same postal address.

No

I think this is only for immediate family tickets if buying annual passports, but you can buy discounts day tickets for anyone.
:thumbsup2

See above :thumbsup2

Thanks Reid

There is so many different discounts and options it just gets a bit confusing. We are paying for mum and dads passes so a discount would have been good!

Hi again, having read the letter that we got in with our shareholder card we have found this in the small print - Reduction(15%) can be cumulated with the discount granted to families on Fantasy or Dream Passports for the purchase of several Annual Passports for the same family, same address.

So because there is 5 of us in the family we have understood this to mean we will get 15% shareholder discount and 20% family discount =35%!!!!!!!!

Or are we completely wrong?? :confused3

This is what can be read on the Shareholder webpage:

The discount granted to Shareholders Club members on Park Passports can be combined with the family reduction on Fantasy and Dream Passports for the purchase of different Passports for a single family, same address, upon the general conditions of Annual Passports

So, as I understand, discounts CAN be combined

Yes, the discounts can be combined. When we bought ours as a family of 5 we got a family discount of 25% then a further shareholders discount of 15%. They've now reduced the family discount to 20% and it's now only for families of 5.

They don't actually deduct 35% at once. They will deduct the family discount of 20% then the shareholders one of 15% but it is still a huge and very welcome saving for my family! :thumbsup2

Jackie, I don't think the family discount will apply in your case as all 5 have to be of the same name and at the same address.

Thanks for pointing that out Elaine as that makes about £70 difference! We are working to a bit of a budget as this is a trip we didnt think we would be taking. My mum decided she wanted us all to go for her birthday and DDs birthday. We have got the chance to renew our passes for 18 months for the price of 12 but are not allowed to use any other discounts so it is going to work our much cheaper to pay for 12 months and get our combined discounts :confused3 :confused3

Sorry Jackie, I don't think the family discount will apply as you all have to have the same name and address. Sorry to be a bit muddly with the info but the website is in French only and that is not my best point!

Here is the page. :)

Its ok as we do have 5 of the same name and address!

Phew, what a relief! :faint: I thought my ears were going to be burning tonight! :rotfl:

Can I just add that they will be looking for prove of this for any adults.

Well this was my experience when we got our Dream Passports earlier this year - and as I didn't have anything on my - I didn't get the Family Discounts - although I did go back the following day and managed to get extra months added once I produced to letters showing our addresses (both from Disney).

Looks like I was diddled then as I was told they couldn't combine discount :guilty:

My understanding was that you could combine 2 discounts. We did the share holders and I had my form stamped when DD & DS 6 DH purchased their passes.

Did you use a parinage form by any chance Reid?

Maybe not. :) We bought our passes on our first trip in August 2005 and I think the rules allowing combined discount only came into force a few months before we went. When I first began researching our trip the previous year I'm sure that it wasn't possible to combine the two then.
