OK... we are arriving on 8/7 and staying 3 nights...4 days...we are having breakfast with the characters on Aug. 9 at the Disneyland Hotel(where we are staying)...so I need a couple of suggestions for dinner for 2 nights and we would like to do some kind of tour of the surrounding area...say like a 4 hour tour....any suggestions would be appreciated....this is our first time to DL and we realize we have to cram a lot into 4 days....we figure we would like to do some kind of tour on Tuesday.....
thanks for any and all suggestions.....

First of all, I think that you are staying at a wonderful hotel...we love it there! It is so whimsical and nostalgic for me...totally Disney.

I do not know anything about tours of the area (never taken any), but about dinner suggestions, if it is going to be just you and your wife, did you want something more adult since you are having a breakfast with the characters already? Or did you want other character dining options. I know they are doing the princess meal at Ariel's Grotto for lunch and dinner now...Plaza Inn also has character meals as well as Goofy's Kitchen. We always make a habit of having our first dinner there! :goodvibes

When it comes to adult dining. PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier hotel is really good, and if you are in the mood for a really nice, pricey meal, Granville's Steakhouse is in your hotel, and Napa Rose is in the Grand Californian hotel. We have also tried Storyteller's Cafe (GC) for dinner, and we really loved it there. There are also options right across the street like Tony Roma's etc. There was just a post about it a little while ago if you do a search for offsite dining. The options for dinner are endless...I know I left alot out, so it kinda depends on what kind of dinners you guys would like?
