More advice please

Ok,now I'm panicking about the huge crowds in June so can anyone tell me if the schools in France are closed on Monday 4th May?
It's a bank holiday in the UK and I understand that the Friday before (1st May) is a national holiday in France so does this mean that the french children will also have the Monday off too?
I'm getting a headachewith all this planning stress

I was at DLP on the 1st May last year and yes it was busy but it was managable. Make use of EMH is my main tip.
