Hi all...

Following on from the thread about stopping in the middle of a row during shows (arghhh it makes me so angry)....

I guess I am like most of the people on the board and have been on most of the rides and shows so many times that I now know exactly which row to enter and how many people I have to let pass me (you know the people who push to the front not realising they will end up at the end of a row hehe!) to get the best seats.

Anyway it made me think, I've not been to WDW for a couple of years so any tips about getting the good seats on the shows and rides I haven't been on would be apreciated. Namely...

Philharmonic, Wishes, Soarin' (from all you lucky ones who have been on it already), Mission Space... just about anything that has opened since May 2002, including The Mummy & Shrek and Universal (I can hear the WDW purists fainting as I type! hehe)

As always thanks in advance (you lot never fail me!)

Paul.

I have seen Philharmagic many times and sat everywhere in the Theatre. I don't think there is a bad seat for that show. I sat in the front, the middle, and the back rows, and on each end and saw the 3-D effects great each time.
Mission space spins to the left so the only bad seat is on the right of someone who is going to vomit. My son learned that one, I was on the left side and he was on the right side and the person in the middle lost her lunch. It flowed onto him. Sorry to be so literal, it was like when the spacmen let the droplets fly in outerspace, it just streamed toward him. Kind of funny as long as it wasn't going my way.
I have't bee on Soarin yet but I heard that it is much like Back to the Future, where no seat is bad.
Mummy has no bad seats either. It is a coaster type car with two persons across so you see all the stuff around you and feel the heat etc wherever you happen to be. I think the front people would miss more than the middle and back seats but I never sat in the direct front row so I can't really say for sure.
enjoy your trip, 31 days for me. Peggie

Well first of all it's Philharmagic. :) The trick on that one is the same as other theater type seating shows. Let a certain number of people go by and then jump in the row to get a middle seat. I wouldn't sit too close to the screen though because it is very wide and curves a bit so if you sit way up close you have to turn your head a lot more.

Wishes is best viewed anywhere from the Main Street Train Station up to the circle in front of the Castle. It's best to see it straight on like that rather than from the side towards Adventureland or Tomorrowland.

The best seats for Soarin are on the front row if you can get it. The second and third rows are good, but you can see the feet of the people in the row ahead of you. You might not have much choice which row you get though, just depends on where you are in line.

Mission: Space it doesn't matter where you sit. It's 4 seats side by side and you get the same experience in each one, just different buttons to push.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Peggie, I hadn't considered that seating problem during reading all the vomit reports about Mission Space. That may turn out to be the most valuable piece of WDW advice I have ever been given :teeth:

Thank Gator too, see what I mean? You lot never let me down!

Ewww! :crazy2:

The best place to see Wishes depends on the wind direction that evening. We've had a terrific view from the Tomorrowland bridge, on two nights when the wind blew the fireworks that way. Everything was right in front of us!

Schmeck - I was going to say the same thing. Anywhere from the front of the park up to the castle is pretty good, although Liberty Square is pretty bad, but hey, its still Wishes. Never ever see it in Fantasyland, you are looking straight up and side to side. I couldn't keep it up for more than a minute before I would have to put my head back down.

We did Soarin' many times last week and although the front row is the best it isn't THAT much better than the 2nd or 3rd row.

Philharmagic doesn't have a bad seat IMHO, but I have a better time seeing the 3D image closer to the front. That could just be my weird processing or something.

Ariel isn't very good in the front few seat. Much better toward the back and middle.

Stich I went on once and haven't bothered since but I can't imagine in a round theater there would be a difference.

Well, I had already decided that I wasn't going to ride this and risk getting sick myself. I hadn't even thought about the possibility of leaving the ride wearing someone else's lunch.

 :worried:  :( :crazy2: :scared: :faint:
