I was talking to my oldest DD recently and she informed me she has a cute fluffy black puppy. She told me that she was turning off a busy road to head to Wal Mart and a big red pick up stops right in front of her. A guy gets out and takes a huge box from the bed of the truck.

Then he he shakes out the contents of the box and jumps into his truck. She said he emptied 6 puppies out onto the road. They were running every which way, with cars screeching to prevent hitting them. Then people were getting out of their cars and scooping the puppies up.

DD said there was 5 tan ones and one black one. She said the black one was the only one that ran towards her. Of course she scooped him up and she said he immediately started kissing her. That won her over.

So now she has a cute puppy named Shadow. Yes, all pups got a new home. :)

In spite of people honking and yelling at the jerk he still sped away. Thank goodness none of the puppies got hit by a car.

I will never understand some people. I hope your dd enjoys her new best friend!

WTH is wrong with people?? Sick.

I'm glad Shadow got a new home! :goodvibes

I hope somebody got his tag and better yet a picture with their cell phone and filed a police report. There is a special spot in hell for vermin like that.

I would have followed him and beat the crap out of him. Most men, no matter what their size, are afraid of plus-sized women who are furious. :thumbsup2

I am so glad to hear no puppies were harmed in the making of this thread and that they all have homes now.

Folks where I live quite often have gun in their car, it is an extension of their home and completely legal. I have a feeling he would have four flat tires in no time. I know a few people who would teach him a thing or two about cruelty.

Not sure would be nice if they did though.

Had to laugh cause I told her the same thing. :laughing:me being plus sized-he'd have quite a bit to "handle" when I am furious.

DD lives in Moore Oklahoma. Wal Mart is in Norman to the best of my memory from my visit there last summer. Not real sure about gun toting practices there? :confused3 But he sure did deserve a few tires blown out.

It just makes me so sad, people have this idea that animals are less than humans.

The only difference is they don't have a voice to speak out against the cruelty.

STOP ANIMAL ABUSE.

OMG! I am glad they all have a home. I can't even imagine what goes through the minds of people. Everytime I hear of things like this, I always kiss my dog and tell her she will never know the cruelty in the world. :dog:

good for your DD! We also seem to have a new pup. DH found one in the parking lot of his office. There are no residences anywhere nearby, so although he could have wandered it is more likely that he was abandoned in the woods (the little guy could barely walk 20 feet on his little legs without laying down when DH first found him). Our vet checked for a micro-chip but none; and no responses to the ad the county animal shelter posted. It's been well over a week, so I guess he's ours now. At least he and Shadow and Shadow's litter-mates were lucky. I cannot even imagine what someone is thinking (or not!) when they do such things! How desperate, or just plain mean!

Believe me, I hear you...I just rescused a kitten that got dumped on I-4 this weekend. People disgust me in the things they will do. I'm so happy that you managed to save one and give it a wonderful home.

So glad the good samaritans were there to give those pups a home. Why on earth don't people spay/neuter their pets if they won't/can't take care of the puppies that will inevitably come?

One of my co-worker's dogs had puppies this weekend. At least 6 if I recall correctly. When I asked her why since she's ALWAYS complaining about having too many animals/they're too expensive and she doesn't take them to the vet she said it's too much money to spay. Of course when I mention the free traveling vet, that's too much effort.

I'm glad those puppies found new homes, hopefully their new owners will be more responsible than their last.

I'm glad all the pups were safe and rescued. I feel badly for their Mama, though, wherever she is.

That is odd. I never thought about the ma ma- unusual for me. I will ask DD if she can send me a picture of Shadow.

Yes it is terrible how often we are hearing stories like this where animals are tortured and mistreated. :sad2: There are way to many places they can be brought to so there is no excuse for what that idiot did.
