We had a power outage due to the high winds last night. Whatever was banging the side of the house or the roof all night made it really hard to sleep and then the power went off, so I had to hunt up my non-electric alarm clock at 2:00 am. Guess set it wrong because I woke up too early and couldn't get back to sleep. Grrr. I'm super tired and heading to bed shortly. Uncharacteristically early.

So there's this kid in my class. He's hilarious because he says the funniest things but he's always totally dead serious. He always loses his change from his lunch money and his mom gets mad at him. So today he asked me if I would hold it for him so I stuck it in my pocket. At the end of the day he asked me if he could have it back. I decided to tease him. Because he's really fun to tease. Our conversation went something like this...

"Can I have my money back, Ms. Lauren?"
"No, I ate it." (me trying to keep a straight face)
"No, you didn't Ms. Lauren, give it to me!"
"I'm so sorry, _______, but I ate it! I forgot to pack my lunch and I got really hungry!"
"That just doesn't make any sense."
"Why doesn't it make any sense, I was hungry!"
"Because you're a vegetarian."

Oooohhhh, so that's why it doesn't make sense to eat money! The rest of y'all can feel free to chow down on your loose change should the desire arise. Us vegetarians don't eat quarters though.

And that isn't like him so I said "You did? What happened?" and he showed it to me and they had been practicing cursive C's and of course there were C's all over his paper.

He said "I wanted to play that joke on you when we did cursive "F's" but I couldn't wait". What a smartypants! lol

My u/s was fine, just one baby. Changed my due date to August 14th, but since it's so close to what I thought I KNOW the day I conceived, so my August 18th date is what I'm keeping with. Otherwise I'll just go even later..

Baby looked fine, but my placenta is bordering on the edge of my cervix. So I have another u/s in 8-10 weeks to check to see that it has grown upwards away from my cervix. I hope so. The last thing I want is a c-section. Ugh.

So, this one day, at Chef Mickey's. My family and I went up to the reception stand and were greeted by a cast member. Here is what happened:

CM: Hi.
MyWife: Hiiiii. We sure are excited to be here.
CM: Do you have a reservation?
MW: We sure do. BDG family of 5 at 6:00.
CM: Hmmm. I'm looking here on the computer and I don't see the BDG family of 5 for 6:00.
MW: You don't? How could that be?
CM: I ate your reservation.
MW: (puzzled look at BDG)
CM: Get it? I ATE your reservation.
MW: Uhhh, no? You ate our reservation? (shaking head in confusion)
CM: Yeah, I ate your reservation.
MW: Ohhhhh. You ATE our reservation. Ummm. I still don't get it.
CM: You know, I ATE your reservation. ATE your reservation.
MW: Umm, I still don't get it. Are you a vegetarian? Is that why you ate our reservation?
CM: Well, I am a vegetarian. But that is not why I ate your reservation.

Wellll, I can drop her off... they practice for 2.5 hrs, 3 nights a week. I am sure the first hour will be "conditioning" which is code for torture. There is something wrong with sitting and eating m&ms while watching your 7 year old do a workout that would make a marine wince. However this does cut into my summer vacation schedule. Gymnastics is a year round sport.
