HAPPY BELATED 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!

We had a lovely time with family. We slept in yesterday morning. DS and I needed it after our whitewater rafting trip with the youth group from church. Hey, I didn't fall out of the boat this year! ;) We had the LEAD guide, so we got to do lots of cool things that the others didn't. :snooty: Did get a bruise though. :headache: Seems I can't go and not get one. Hit my arm on the T-Grip when I got back in the boat after swimming in the river.

Went to church with all the family at MIL's church. It was an early morning! Her church is 30 minutes away and starts 30 minutes earlier than ours. Plus we had storms move through last night, and had to get up and turn off the computer, and try and get Shadow to quit panting. She is NOT a fan of thunderstorms. :rolleyes1

Moo - I read about the monorail driver......so sad! :sad1:

Here is a link to Robin's (of LY/MI fame) about the monorail crash. Her husband was briefly employed as a monorail driver before they moved back up north.

hmm, it wont post either from source or facebook.

I can'nt seem to do anything right these days. I just discovered I crocheted 3 rows of single stitch after 6 of double, so i had to rip up about 1000 stiches..............

Seems whatever I do lately I screw up! Thats so not like me, and its killing me!

Sad about that young driver. :sad1: Prayer for his family.

So do most people get off today for you July 4th? since it fell on a Saturday.

Today is the beginning of swimming lessons. Everyday for the next three weeks. Hope this stops them from saying I'm bored. One will go to the library , one will swim. Then vise versa. So I will be sitting there 2-3 hours. Good thing I like to read.

Well I went and looked at my paint colour in the laundry room this morning hoping it changed over night. :lmao: Too bright. Almost a neon yellow. It looked really pretty in the can and on the chip. Definitely have to repaint. Hubby will be thrilled.

Sandy-- how did your weekend go with your family?

Marita-- thought you were swearing there and the dis didn't like it..... For some reason some links are not allowed. Other people on the CB thread about that tried to link some stuff to but couldn't either. :confused3

Happy belated 4th to everyone!
Glad the babycows are back.
TRIP REPORT!!!!

Nabbie - I had Friday off for the holiday. Today I'm off on furlough. Sorry your paint color dried too bright. I hat when that happens!

I didn't hear from my boss about going to Lake Michigan, so I guess I'll go shopping instead today. I need a new pair of black sandals and a dress to wear to my nephew's wedding in a couple weeks.

Marita - It sounds like you might need a vacation! :goodvibes

Okay so the laundry room is repainted. It is now a soft yellow, like the Dis yellow were we sign in . With white appliances and baseboards it should look nice. The other yellow was like a neon yellow. It was bad. Actually hubby got this one. He went up two from the paint chip we started with, then halved the yellow. The guy told him the first one we got had 96 shots of yellow, this one has 18.

Like I said swimming started today, only thing I did not know is that the library isn't not open Monday mornings. It made for a long morning for everyone.

Moo-- Did you find anything shopping? I need to buy some new tops...Unlike you I have gone the other way and gained weight since last summer. :headache:

Nabbie - I couldn't find any dresses that I liked, so I got this top and skirt. I wear a lot of black and white, so I figured this should work OK if I dress it up with a little jewelry. The top is a little longer and the sleeves are a little shorter than what I wanted, but I figure I can keep looking for a different one. Now I just need to find some dressier black sandals.

Grrr, the DIS just ate my post

Short version:

Nab, yay to paint
Moo, cute outfit
Cel, you are missing too much around here
Lil G, yay to WDW

My fridge is dead, DH was going shopping for a new one today. He was pushing bottom freezer, I told him no way, I'm not kneeling on the floor to see what's in the freezer. Let's hope he heard me!!!
Dont know what he did, he was long asleep when I got home. And we just spent I dont know how much $$ getting the icemaker fixed a couple of months ago

Marita-- the freezer on the bottom is not that bad....:lmao: That is what I have with the french doors on the top. I love the ice maker but it takes up way to much on the one side of the fridge. That is my only complaint.

Moo-- Love the outfit. Like the little Ruffle on the shirt to jazz it up.

Lil'g -- lucky you are going to WDW this month. Hubby is talking about going the the last two weeks of August. Missed you and Moo by this much.....I'm ready to go anytime, the kids and hubby not so much.

Sandy-- did you watch Bachelorette tonight. Wes is finally gone...woohoo. He was a really jerk at the end. Big Brother starts on Thursday but I have been to Jokers already and watched a Youtube video of the house guests in the house already. I would never have guested the mystery guest....should be interesting.

Wow not one post today!!

I just got back from our baseball game...we won 20-4 Thought we were going to have to play in the rain again but it stopped just as we started. Another game tomorrow night but that one is out of town and late.

Where is our summer weather? I guess I shouldn't complain it hasn't been to hot but I wish the dark clouds would go away.

WOW, not a single post today and only one from NAB tonight.

Makes me sad

Called hubby this afternoon, new fridge will be delivered tomorrow. He said he got a Fridgidaire in off-white, but lesser quality than what we had before, cause he thought I didn't want to spend that much money. What?
:confused3

I never said anything about money! Now I am scared to death about what I will find tomorrow, but I know I have to bite my tongue... As long as he got a side-by-side I'll be OK, but I forgot to ask him about that.

Just finished clearing out the last of the fridge stuff and am cleaning the frige. Why do I feel compelled to clean a fridge that is heading

to the dump, most likely???????????

Hubby threw out 8 garbage bags of food today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I think the fridge actually died on Saturday, that's when I noticed the icemaker not working, but I suspected the same problem as before. My precious German cheese that I just paid $40 for is stored in ice, but I am afraid a lot of stuff that is not already thrown out will be shortly.

I have 3 jars of strawberry Jelly which we rarely eat :confused3

I spent 4 hours today in budget review meetings, which went pretty well. One of the regions brought BB and me a birthday cake, which are Thursday and Friday. A fabulous fancy chocolate cake with chocolate layer frosting and icing. I dont usually eat cake, but that was sooo good!!!!!

3 more hours of reviews tomorrow. Tomorrow my former hotel is coming, will be interesting to see what the issues are.

OK, back to cleaning the fridge, only got the 2 crisper drawers to go.

PS: I heard on the radio this morning that MJ's casket supposedly cost $250,000, but I just looked it up and it's "only" $25,000.

Special note for PJ: CM napkins were exempted from going to paper napkins 'cause of napking twirling... Personally, I think paper is probably more hygenic........

Sorry I wasn't around to post today. I had my three month follow-up appointment at the surgeon's office that lasted all morning, so I decided to just take the rest of the day off. The PA said I'm doing just fine :goodvibes After that, I got some knee injections to help reduce my pain level while exercising. The strength training tonight really tired me out.

Nabbie - Sorry your WDW trip got scrapped. The outfit passed muster with my daughter. She liked the ruffles on the top too!

Marita - Cleaning out a fridge is a big job. Glad you saved the cheese!!!!! Hope you're getting the color fridge you want :)

YAY for doing great, MOO!!
DH got up earlier today and said he got a side by side at least, WHEW!

Forgot to mention, Asst #2 caught herself a fish on PlentyofFish. She said today they spent every night together for the last 2 weeks since they met except one day when she had class. She showed me a pic, very muscly guy from Dominican republic (she likes them dark, LOL)

Hello. I'm present. Do I need to post incessantly to wake the thread back up? Interesting things in my life lately:

1. My psychotic cat who is staying with my friend freaked out and chewed a hole in a mattress and then proceeded to climb into said mattress. She couldn't get him out for over 2 hours. It wasn't funny then, but it is now.

2. Every car on our street was egged last night. Now the paint is coming off my car. I just keep saying my car will fit in better when I go back to my school in the ghetto.

3. I'm working from 6:30am-11:30pm tomorrow. Doesn't that sound like fun? I think that's something like 3580 non paper napkins that I'll get to twirl. From 3-4 we're having a special meeting and tour of Bay Lake Tower to let us know all the important things people will need to know that won't matter to me since I'll be gone by then. How's that for a run-on sentence?

4. I should go to bed now but I need a moment.

PJ, good to see you!

BLT reminds me of another interesting factoid I heard today. The biggest fanciest suite/villa there will cost $140,000 a week. Any takers???????

We were promised a tour soonishly....

Good to "see" you too! Can I pay for that villa over the course of 4-5 years? popcorn::

Oh, my - what a grueling day, Peej :scared: But it should be fun to tour BLT!!! Let me know what you think!

Sorry about your car. I didn't know that eggs peeled the paint off cars. Is it because they dried on?

I'm sure payments can be arranged... by someone other than me.

Sorry about the car too, you're not having much luck with that lately. Much like my fridge/ice maker............

Maybe we need to burn something in effiigy or something....
