:cake: party: Happy Birthday to Grasshopper and Nicole!!! And happy birthing day to their mamas!

Twink - Congrats on the job :woohoo: Since I have to pick my hubby up at the airport at 11:30  tonight, if you could please leave the pics up for a while, I'd really appreciate it :flower3: Poor Twinkerbell :grouphug: I vote for a little something extra from the tooth fairy.

Marita - Mr. Google says it's "chuppah" . . . interesting spelling. Hope your green bean casserole turns out great. BOO on the spider in the car. And I hope that it is halfway warm in Florida next month

I'm afraid we have a dead mouse somewhere in the house. Ugh. I'm going to have Don check the basement tomorrow because it seems like the smell is coming from that area. If that's not the problem area, I guess I'll have to do a very thorough cleaning upstairs.

Yay for the Twilight fans' big day :cloud9:

Nabbie - Did you and your hubby decide about your plans for the first night? We need to chat soon.

I'm still debating about taking the puppies for a ride when I drive to the airport.

Moo, not so much luck on the GBC so far. I heated the butter, and went to put in the onions. Except I had moved them to the left and I grabbed what was on the right, which was the white cheddar cheese. Both in measuring cups. (Hey, they are both whitish!)

I realized that as soon as I did it, and scooped out most of the cheese, added more butter, but it was useless. The leftover cheese was burning up in the pan. So I chopped up more onion and started over in a new pan .
Of course now I am short of cheese, too!

It might be done sometime around 11:30, LOL!

The title of Top Chef will never be mine!

One year old!

MMmmmm... cake.

a new haircut for Twinkerbell

Oh, look at how our thread baby has grown, He is just adorable! I still remember when you announced you were expecting grasshopper, sigh!
Love how he is enjoying his cake, LOL!

Love the new haircut on Twinkerbell! Very cute and modern and all that.
How come only one if them got a new DO?

hey y'all. I had things to say, but by the time the dial up loaded everything, I forgot! :rotfl2:

Love the twinkerbell haircut! But it makes her look older! gabe is yummy!

marita - I like hearing about knit freak.
and her wedding plans.
and somebody give the peej the zip it smilie! (although pics of a knitted wedding dress would be funny!)
great, now I need the zip it smilie!

and of COURSE Hollywood and I planned our cincy trips together! Considering how much she LOVES imaginary friends - especially those who like Ariel a leeeeetle too much!

Where is your family on the way to? You don't have family down here, do you?

I put the tree up tonight. Tee hee.
Just the tree though.
It's a prelit one I got for $40 from big lots and I needed to make sure it works ok! :rolleyes1
Camden got all of my Disney storybook ornaments out and looked at them.
plus we hung all the stockings.
and the CUTEST elf clothes line I bought from Avon. It's much bigger than I thought - the clothes would fit a doll a bit bigger than a barbie.
my mom lent me some really cute thanksgiving decorations for next week. I'm excited! :yay:

Note to self - do NOT drink an energy drink at 4 when you have to be somewhere the next day!
For once, the kids are asleep a good hour before me!
:sad2:
I've got to leave early tomorrow to make it to the twilight lexicon official event!

Ok. off to try and sleep!

Cel, sure sounds like you are becoming a big part of the breadman family. :thumbsup2

You go, girl!

Twink - Thanks for leaving the pics up! The classic first birthday cake shot - I love it!!! And the TwinkerTwins are looking so grown up :)

Marita - Glad the GBC was tasty.

I'm not having the best evening. Hubby made it home just fine, but I took the dogs for a ride with me to the airport and one of them had an accident in my car :scared: So much for protecting the seat with a beach towel. I sure hope my clean-up job was adequate. If not, I'll be doing some more scrubbing on the seat tomorrow.

/
Moo, yikes on the puppy accident!!!!!!!! I feel for you.
Could you come and pick up my spider tomorrow while you are on car cleaning detail?

OK, Im off to bed.

Have a great weekendm everyone!

GOOD MORNING!

Sorry to be so scarce lately. I can't say I'm all caught up but just wanted to say hello.

Yesterday was Mimi's birthday too. She turned 19....where does the time go. DS and I took her out to the buffet at the local coop (her request) where she can eat lots of good (?) vegan stuff. If was actually pretty goog.

When we were in the car, she said....Mom, I'm turning into you. Everytime I have a free moment, I'm pricing a Disney vacation.

My evil plan is working.

(TM PJ)

So I guess the January trip is on. It'll be Mimi's only Christmas gift. I can't afford it and who knows who'll take care of the other kids but gosh darnit, we're going.

Twink.....Your lil man is precious. I love the pictures. We stripped DS down to his diapie and let me dive into the first birthday cake. Isn't it fun? The girls are beautiful! And congratulations on the new part-part-time-ish job. You don't know what you'll be teaching? Srsly?

Marita....Happy belated birthday to DD! You must've been in your 30's when you had her? When did you get married and go to school and all. We need a Marita Timeline. With pictures. :flower3:

Wendee.....Mimi and Emily BOTH went to see Twilight at midnight on THursday/Friday. I let Emily have a Twilight day off school yesterday and she saw it two more times for a total of three. So far.

Monica
....Sorry bout your crock pot. I feel your pain. I haven't had an oven since summer.

Moo.....Icky-poo on the puppy mess. One word: Febreeze

PJ.....What's a girl gotta do to get an assistant already?

BNCG.....Hope Julia is feeling better. Popsicles and Sprite fix everything. Keep bleaching and cleaning! Those viruses always seem to hit us around Thanksgiving. :confused3

Celery....Have fun at the breadmans. Sounds like you are bringin the Christmas spirit with you. Goog job!

Pumba....Freezing cold here too. 17 right this minute...as I type. And I'll bet it's windy too. My neighbors just left to catch a plane to Florida. They go every Thanksgiving. I need to think about that for next year.

MommyP....Trip report? Wordscrapper? :rolleyes1

To all the boys and everybody else.........:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

I must be getting old. We all went to bed at 9:30 last night after watching Barbie's Christmas Carol with the kids.

Hubby was up and out of the house by 5:30 though to go study. And Nicholas has a workshop today at the church. Hannah and I are going to work on her toys and get them out of the family room where the tree will go.

Happy Belated Birthday to all that had birthdays.

Twinkie -- congrats on the new part time job. Love the airport table cloth too. Gabe looked like he enjoyed his cake, wasn't much left on the plate. I am guessing he wore most of it.

Marita-- I love hearing about Knitfreak. I watch soap operas too. I was going to say isn't it early for your GC but your Thanksgiving is this Thursday already isn't it.

Moo-- eek hope your car isn't too bad today. Probably froze now, isn't it cold there in the mornings.

Lexi-- great to see you this morning. How can you live with out an oven. :scared1:

Celery-- You fit so well with Breadman and his kids. And sounds like you loving every bit of Christmas this year.

Got to go get the kids moving.... Saturday and it feels like a school day.

morning everyone......sort of a sunny partly overcast sort of day.....Megara slept in after hubby left to go hunting.....he left at 5 am to go to the restaurant to meet the other hunters (including our son)...then they discuss their plans and off they go to the woods...one of the needed items now adays to go hunting is either a cell phone or a walkie talkie ....this is so needed if someone is in need of help......I remember the year that hubby had his accident and our son decided I needed to go hunting so I would not be afraid of guns. It was like three weeks after hubbies accident.....well......I was complaining to my innerself about how stinking cold it was and I had to go potty and this is no fun for females....and then I saw my deer...I shot it and then walked to the area it was in and saw that it was dead......and then called my son on the walkie talkie.......he said are you sure it is down, and I kicked the deer and said yes.......and then he says are you sure it is dead ....I kick it again and say yes it is.....he said he will be there in a half hour....cause he was that far away......so I call my husband on the cell phone cause he is home recooping......and I say I got a deer, and he says are you sure it is down and I said yes darling.....and then he says are you sure it is dead......I kick the deer again and said yes dear it is dead......I am a good hunter when it is a little warmer........hahaha

Today is Saturday, and I decided that I had better do some kitchen organizing.....I will do that today and I WONT GO ANYWHERES ......I do love it when my DIL calls me and says ....lets go shopping......or do you want company........she loves me and I love her and the rugrats........we are lucky

I have discovered this neat show on tv that is on several different channels......it is called CSI .....I like NY I think now the best......I thought I liked Las Vegas the best but it is NY now.......more action I think......Miami is last.....not as much going on.....so the last two or so weeks I have been watching these at night........hubby says why are you watching that........I told him that it is really good.......almost like the old Hawaii 5 O's back in the old days.......hahaha

The beurking has now ceased. WooHoo. Red was so funny he walked around with Clorox disinfectant wipes and wiped everything Julia touched before he touched it.:rotfl:

YAY! I gotta see Twinkie pics. Gabe is soooooo adorable. I cannot believe another year has passed. The girls look lovely. What a sweet family.

Happy Giving Birth Day to Marita and Twink and Lexi!

Twilight Gals: Glad you liked it MommyP. Now we need details from the other gals and their parites.

Pumba: The dh took the 10 yo hunting this morning. Well, the 10 yo isnt going to actually hunt, he is just going along to watch. It is currently 19 degrees. I hope they stay warm!

Peej: I like the button/pics. Find me more. heh

Moo: Did the pups get to go for a ride?

Nab: I've had nights like that. A few weeks ago I fell asleep at 9:30 ish while the kids were watching ICarly.:sad2:

Have a nice weekend

and somebody give the peej the zip it smilie! (although pics of a knitted wedding dress would be funny!)
great, now I need the zip it smilie!

Where is your family on the way to? You don't have family down here, do you?
See what a good influence I am on people!

They're on their way to the annual pilgrimage to my parents' condo at the beach. We do it every year for Thanksgiving. I'll be heading down on Tuesday after school. They're just all taking the whole week off. It's an unspoken rule in this family that everyone must attend. Airfare this year cost me an arm and a leg, but not attending was out of the question. Basically it ends up being way too many people in one house.

Before the end of the week I can guarantee at least one dramatic drunken episode (not involving me), at least one screaming match, and at least one set of people ending up "not on speaking terms." It's each man for himself. We spend the days on the beach and the nights playing games/ cards, watching movies, and drinking (again, not me). Then, everyone pretty much grabs a blanket and a pillow and finds a place to crash. It really is fun, in a dysfunctional kinda way. ;)

PJ.....What's a girl gotta do to get an assistant already?
I know, right? My at school bff has been without an assistant too, so we've been trying to help each other out. Like I'll take all the kids to lunch so she gets a break and then she'll take 'em all to recess so I get a break. Together we have 56 kids though, so it's obviously not an ideal situation. Mentally, I just need a break from them though so it's worth it to get those 20 minutes.
WOOT on the Disney trip coming together!!!! And another Happy Birthday!

1. The beurking has now ceased. WooHoo. Red was so funny he walked around with Clorox disinfectant wipes and wiped everything Julia touched before he touched it.:rotfl:

2. Peej: I like the button/pics. Find me more. heh

3. Moo: Did the pups get to go for a ride?
1. Brilliant on his part.
2. I do not live to serve you.
3.

Just sayin.

Okay, question....
Oftentimes when we go to the beach, my mom has a photographer come take pictures of us on the beach. So, she has decided this year is one of the years we simply must do that. We were assigned to wear dark denim bottoms (skirt, jeans, capris, whatever you want), and a white top. Hollywood is coming UNDONE about this. I mean full out freaking out can't get a grip undone. She's driving me insane. She says everyone does denim and white when they do beach pics and we're going to look so stereotypical, etc. I don't see what the big deal is. Especially since there are male and female members of our family being photographed. It's hard to ask the males to coordinate if all the females decide to wear sundresses or somethin. Therefore denim and white works well. So, are we going to look like complete tools in our denim and white pictures? Present your opinions. Please and thank you.

Marita....Happy belated birthday to DD! You must've been in your 30's when you had her? When did you get married and go to school and all. We need a Marita Timeline. With pictures. :flower3:

Lexi, great to see you around these parts! YAY for your January trip!!

Marita timeline??? Let's see, I got married in 1970 at age 18 (I know:eek: , way too young, but DH was moving back to the US after the Army and they wouldnt give me visa for just trying it out, LOL). Got my GED, went to school nights for 10 years, graduated college at age 30. I had DS when I was 27 and DD at 32. So there you have it..... No pics though, sorry. My scanner is not connected, and I'm too lazy to even try.

I
Marita-- I love hearing about Knitfreak. I watch soap operas too. I was going to say isn't it early for your GC but your Thanksgiving is this Thursday already isn't it.

Yes, Thanksgiving sure is next week.
Knitfreak is taking her DF(iance) to a knitting meeting today to introduce him to some of her friends. Should be an interesting morning for the poor man, LOL.
I made the casserole to try out the recipe, not for Thanksgiving. But I do have to call my niece to find out what I should bring next week, we are invited to her house.

BNCG, yay for the girl feeling better! Funny about Red, smart kid!

PJ, I see nothing wrong with either being color coordinated or not. I dont recall seeing scores of pictures with people all in denim and white (none actually), I dont get why Hollywood is so upset. Maybe she can just be the odd girl out and stand out of the crowd? :confused3
Hope Santa brings you an assistant! :santa:

Pumba, hope it warms up for you so can go hunting too. I'm with you, no way would I go out in that weather.

Celery, have fun at the breadman's house! I have a feeling there will be baking involved this weekend....

Everyone, have a great weekend!

ETA: CARP!!! I thought I could avoid getting my nails done for another week, but I just remembered that I need to have decent nails for Thanksgiving. I HATE getting my nails done, it's the most boring hour ever! Even worse if you get a slow person who takes 1 1/2 hours. Oh, and I need eyebrows waxed too. That doesnt take long, but is a rip-off compared to the nails. $13 for nails that take an hour (a steal, I know, little Vietnamse place), $7 for eyebrows that takes 5 minutes.

Dear Hollywood-

Everyone and their brother does white and khACKi for their beach pictures. Except my family. We do denim and black and hold the beach. With a large group you want the clothes to be unobtrusive. Also any monochromatic look would be good but again with the large group it is hard to co-ordinate. I think dark denim and white would look good. In fact the Twinkie children had just such a look for their summer pictures. They are freakin' adorable but I bet you hotT pirate ballerinas can pull it off too.

So even if you disagree, you need to suck it up and take one for the team.

If it bothers you that badly, go on to have your own large brood of children and dictate they wear whatever you want in family pictures. ;) Like say.... just for an example.... black and peridot matching jackets.

WOW that sounds amazingly boring. Knitting meeting?? Really???

Me either. She just gets on tangents and she can't let it go. Ask bbn about when she ordered apples instead of french fries. That's a perfect example. I think she just needs to mooove on. I told her just wear the flipping white shirt and get a cute necklace, do something cute with your hair, etc. and then you'll look different!

I am forwarding this note to her. She wants us to all wear the denim bottoms but wear bright colored tops of our choosing. How many men really have/want to wear bright colored tops? It's just not a good idea. She'll love the part about having her own brood of children. heh.
Also, I realized I never commented on your pictures. See, I always quote whatever I'm going to comment on but I didn't quote you because I thought you might want to delete the pictures. So, then that's as far as my brain took it. Anyway, Gabe looks ADORABLE! I think I've mentioned this before, but I love his eyes. How precious. :goodvibes

I have house guests fast approaching. Little did I know, but the family feuding has already begun. Apparently my one aunt didn't meet the departure time last night so they left without her. She and my cousin are going to spend the night here tonight and then drive the rest of the way (10 hours ish) in the morning. Am I supposed to go clean or somethin??
