Moo- I'm glad Mr. Moo is feeling better!

javamom - Sorry, meant to post this earlier, but prayers being said for your DH and his mom.

Headache is better! :thumbsup2

Haven't seen Wendy since the WIN, so she must be out painting the town PINK! that's her favorite color yaknow! ;)

Mrs. The King!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:  :lmao: That surely would make a statement.

Cel - I'm mentally kicking the Breadman in the "shin" for you.

I will join you for said kicking of shins! Moovers, unite in kicking the Breadman!

DTD - I resolve to spend at least a week at WDW this year! :sunny:

You better, Moo, you got that fancy schmancy BLT to go to. I want a personal tour, BTW. YAY for Mr. Moo feeling better.

I went to the grocery store. Short list. Rice, peppers, ground beef. tomato sauce.
Easy, riight?
Have you ever noticed how many differnt kids of tomatos are out there?
Peeled, whole, crushed, diced, stewed and a plethora of others.Maddening! I had to actually hunt for just plain old tomato sauce! :sad2:

I almost bought a small electric food chopper for the onions for $12.99, but I resisted. YAY me. I have manual chopper I bought from the internet some years ago, it works nicely. So much for me NOT contributing to the econonic recovery.

OK, I better get cooking. No, really!

twink: oh "goodie"!! i get to spice things up? better stock up on tomato juice, pop rocks, and silk scarves.:rolleyes1 and we ARE freakin genius.
Oh my. I haven't been to a party like that since before we had kids. ;)

MIL is doing a bit better today. She's at least strong enough to be mad about being move to a stepped-up care facility.

Her oxygen levels were really low yesterday and she is anemic. They suspect the her cancer may have entered the bones and their aren't enough red blood cells to carry the oxygen.

Monday, they are going to review her situation and decide if she needs to go to a full-care nursing home instead of her assisted-living apartment.

First of all, Moo, how's your DH? Prayers given. Hope he's ok!

Well, I have to admit that I am shocked. I was rooting for Utah (I can't root for any SEC team) but thought for sure Alabama would win tonight's game (and by two touchdowns also). I was shocked at how Utah bounded out of the starting gate and hung 21 points on the board, but I still thought Alabama would come back once they seemed to have Utah finally stopped.

Ya know, at your age and having a son old enough to be in college, I'm thinking maybe it's time for you to be judging the quality of a sports team based on how handsome their coaches are. Just sayin'.

I, on the other hand, do NOT have a son old enough to be in college so I can continue to leer at college cheerleaders and young starlets and such.
1. Shocked? Psssh. I TOLD you! Geeez. Science is science. I think it's CUTE how you had SO much data, statistics, and endless, mind-numbing sports-talk to try to break it to me gently the unlikelihood of Utah even "showing up". Course, I'm too much of a lady to rub it it in.

HA!!!!!

2. The coaches always look like they're one forehead-vein away from a brain aneurysm. Can they possibly chew their gum any more aggressively? I ask you. :headache: Do they think we can't read lips?

3. However, you are old enough to say words like "starlets" like you're in the 65-80 range.

Now, Breezy, please discuss, in 500 words or less, why the nation's only undefeated team, Utah, should be the National Champion instead of Oklahoma or Florida...
I'll get right on that. I just need to see some QB photos and we'll have it all squared away. My method is foolproof... never once been wrong. Take that to the bank and smoke it. Or something.

Congratulations to Wendy and her Utah UTES! That was a good game! You left us stunned! :headache: You have the respect of the nation! :worship:

My son quit watching and starting playing XBOX 360 by the middle of the 4th quarter. Only me, the not so sports fan mama watched it til the bitter end.

Although, I developed a headache early on in the game, and now I feel like I've got the chills. I sure hope I ain't gettin' sick.

Oh, and how many miles do I have to run for our little wager? :rolleyes1 Please be kind. :flower3:
Hee hee! I totally wished I had you on the phone during that 1st quarter!

I actually had EVERYTHING to do with the big win...lucky boxer shorts and all.

Oh, and as for our little wager, breakfast in bed will suffice: I like my eggs over-medium, with a side of berries plucked fresh from the vine, and my crepes with just a hint of freshly rasped nutmeg...

Noooo, really, just kidding. You can just put a "Utah Rules" or a "Utes" insignia in your signature for 24 hours and we'll call it good. ((LOL!!!)) popcorn::

Oh Rob, now you know Wendy only Cut and Pasted her previous commentary from some sports site she found. ;)
This is true. It was written in that sportsease foreign language.

Well, the fact that she could even find a sports site is a step in the right direction! :thumbsup2
Hey now! Mustn't provoke.

I felt that if they could just get two more touchdowns they could win, but when that turnover happened....I saw reality. :sad2:

Hey, I've brought Wendy to the other side in 2009! Not a half bad accomplishment for Jan. 2nd! :rotfl2:
No you didn't. I'm always willing to watch a good game. If there's the right snack-action and eye-candy, I'm THERE!

Well, here is one of the meet photos that I was able to upload, with Nabbie and her family.

5ae27f33.jpg

Guess I'll have to try uploading the rest again tomorrow so I can get to the photo with Twink.
YAY! Gosh, the kids are growing fast! Stop!!! :3dglasses

Wendy: Congrats to your Utes. We watched the game too. I told the DH your scientific theory on sports commentary. Now where is that zipped lip smilie?
It was a good game. I just wish they wouldn't commentate endlessly. I was a nervous wreck thinking they'd get all cocky and lose and I'd have to make Allie virtual breakfast in bed.

...better stock up on tomato juice, pop rocks, and silk scarves.:rolleyes1 and we ARE freakin genius.

utah: :cheer2:
1. that's where babies come from.
2. thanks!

Haven't seen Wendy since the WIN, so she must be out painting the town PINK! that's her favorite color yaknow! ;)
Naw...like the rest of the state, plus Idaho, I slept in. Wayyyy too much sports for me. I'm good until the Jazz screw up the playoffs again.

1. First, whatever. Second, hey now, I rooted for YOUR team!

3. I'm still younger than YOU! (and always will be)

Tonight's big game, of course, is Colts vs. Chargers and I am both predicting and rooting for a Colts victory.

Ha! Let it NEVER be said that I don't keep my end of the bargain! BUT only for 24 hours, then it's GONE! :upsidedow

Hey and to be an even better sport, go check out FB! ;)

Oh, and my dad called me during the 1st quarter and said, "It's not going so well, huh?" Well, yeah. :sad2: Funny, I kept thinking you would call, but then I remembered, you don't have my number. :headache:

My son left the family room and quietly went upstairs and closed his door when it was 21-0. He remained there for the rest of the game. :sad2:

Oh, and as for our little wager, breakfast in bed will suffice: I like my eggs over-medium, with a side of berries plucked fresh from the vine, and my crepes with just a hint of freshly rasped nutmeg...

I promise it will be cooked to perfection, but I make no guarantees for the quality once UPS delivers it to your front door step. :scared: :rotfl2:

? did ya hear the one about the Canadian Scientist? yeah, neither did i. there are no SCIENTISTS in CANADA. hey, i made that up. just now. on the spot. i think i'll go tell my kids that.

and now some HAIKU:

disney was awesome
but i have no tan because
vikings trump the mouse

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: This is funny and true. :thumbsup2

nt.

twink: oh "goodie"!! i get to spice things up? better stock up on tomato juice, pop rocks, and silk scarves.:rolleyes1 and we ARE freakin genius.

goodie indeed! :wizard:

Twink - You looked wonderfu to me -- especially after having been at WDW for a week with 48 children and assorted family members :upsidedow
Thank you, you are too kind. I was noticing in my own trip pictures that somewhere along the line I just kind of gave up on cute.

Oh my. I haven't been to a party like that since before we had kids. ;)

-- Rob
Ri-ight. I am not so easily fooled.... I notice you have about 47 children too ;)
MIL is doing a bit better today. She's at least strong enough to be mad about being move to a stepped-up care facility.

That is a goog sign- at least in my family.

Allie- You are a good sport. ;)

Lynt- Heeellllp. Somehow I got wrangled into hosting a sleepover. The fine print revealed that the guest is challengeing her food allergies this weekend by eating wheat. Makes it easier to cook but AAAAAAAAAAAACCCK.

MommyP- Have you had an ultrasound yet? :teacher: Any clue on when the all day sickness will be over? I know you don't usually post over the weekend but I am thinking of you.

Marita - I will remember you said that and I'll hold you to visiting me at BLT one day!!!

Mr. Moo is feeling a little better tonight. I'm watching a chick flick now and he's snoozing. We just finished watching Burn After Reading. Bleah. Although Brad Pitt was kind of funny in it.

Steph - Hope your MIL's situation settles down soon :grouphug:

I am resolving to quit calling my kids over, getting them real close and saying
"Kids, Mommy has something real important to tell you." In my real serious voice.

They come over with their sweet innocent eyes and I let one rip.

Those poor kids. :sad2:

STOP copying me!!!!

Seriously, I don't warn them, I just do it like it was written in the script.

Now if I can muster enough courage to do it front of one of their friends, oooohhhh that would be a good one.

Some body in this family and I'm not naming names, had this brillant idea to go to the Detroit Zoo in 32 degree weather to see the polar bears.

It's sunny, it's not gonna be cold she says, there's lots of indoor exhitbits we can go it to warm up inbetween.

Shesh, who made her the boss. I froze my **** off!

At least we had a nice dinner at Luis' Pizza, the only best pizza joint in the state of Michigan.

That was the whole plan after all. Cause Luis' Pizza is near the Detroit Zoo.

I needed an excuse to drive 35 minutes to the darn place. Plus my mom lives on the way and she got a gift certificate there for christmas.:rolleyes1

Moo: glad to here DH is feeling better.

Celery: Hugs baby!

Steph: Prayers!

Sup Moovers?

Yay for Wendell and her Utes (said in my best Joe Pesce accent). Condolences to Allie and Bama.

Did that sound convincing? Cuz I have no idea what transpired, but I thought I should say sumpn. :confused3

Peej, welcome back! Missed ya bunches! Ready to get back to school? Tough knuckles...you gotta go anyway!

Cel, sending cyber kicks for Breadman. But I'm not aiming at his shins, just so you know. :cool2:

Twink, my sleepover story is not a good one, I'm afraid. What was supposed to be a sleepover for both Boris and Natasha last night (my 2 nephews for Boris, and the BFF for Natasha) was recombobulated. Nephews, newly diagnosed with strep, weren't on antibiotics for 24 hours yet, so we postponed until tonight. 'Cept my darling baby brother decided to come to drop them off this morning at 11am, and then brother, nephew #3, brother's GF and her DD stayed until suppertime. Oy.

Plus, yesterday when Natasha's BFF got dropped off, her mom said she'd mentioned that her belly felt a little weird. The mom chalked it up to nerves, since this was the first-ever sleepover for her. Things went fine...the girls exchanged their Christmas gifts, we did a craft, had supper, they played, they danced, they got pajama'd and settled down in their sleeping bags in the playroom. And then at 12:30 this morning, BFF got up, walked about 3 steps away from her sleeping bag, and beurked all over the floor (missing 2 wool area rugs by mere inches, thankyouLord!). So I had to call her parents to come get her. Natasha slept through the whole incident, but was tremendously disappointed when she awoke to find her friend gone. :sad2:

It's been quite a day, I tell you what.

That's all I have, I think.

Heya BBN, Moo, Marita, NAB, BDG, CelMama and all you other peeps!

Oh, Lynette! That's the worse sleepover story ever! :scared:

Oh, and Wendy's UTES played my BAMA boys in the Sugar Bowl yesterday, and they kicked our hineys! (trying not to get edited like Mony ;) )

Hence why I have the new picture in my siggy. :rolleyes1 BUT, only for 24 hours. It said so in the contract! :teacher: (page 93, post 1387 Moovers Thread on the DIS) :upsidedow

Ri-ight. I am not so easily fooled.... I notice you have about 47 children too ;)
Hmmm, let's still go with that was a long, long time ago and it's possible to procreate with different levels of "fun". :rolleyes1

Thank you for at least faking it

UGH...that's not a good sleepover story a'tall. IS there any good sleepover stories? I ask you?

Welp. I've lost my family for good this time. Yup. "We" (I watched) just finally installed a super b!tchin' surround sound system. :cool2: DH picked it and paid for it, and I wrapped it and stuck a "To/From" tag on it and he acted surprised on cue. The first movie was ONLY because it was due at REDBOX tonight was The Women. Worst movie ever, I kid you not. The second movie to really break in the surround sound was (still in progress) Eagle Eye...You can FEEL the bass in your kidneys, which is good, I guess.

The Christmas tree and all straggling Christmas adornment are boxed away, finally.

Yayyyy!

Hey BBN... What do the Kansas City Chiefs (2-14) and the Indianapolis Colts (12-4) have in common? Both teams barely lost to the San Diego Chargers this season.

Ugh. Now I know why I don't bet on sports -- two nights in a row I picked the wrong team to win (though at least I was rooting for the Utes).

The Christmas tree and all straggling Christmas adornment are boxed away, finally.

Yayyyy!

We took down our outside lights and greenery today (in our 66 degree weather) so our home is now Christmas adornment free as well, inside and out! It's even put back away in the attic (where it belongs) until next Christmas.

-- Rob

Our lights are still UP outside thanks to the freezing temperatures and lack of wanting to go numb. But, at least they're off (until Norah flips the switch).

Good niiiight, Moovers and Shakers! I'm exhausted from laying around and reading most of the day (plus un-decorating).

Have a lovely Sunday!!!

I can't see the tree from where I sit, therefore it does not exist!

DS is leaving in the morning, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!
