Marita - Yes the wind is AWFUL! It was blowing my Tahoe all over the road while driving home from the Dr. today. Sorry about DS' friend. I couldn't imagine being out there AND being wet from head to toe.:cold: It's supposed to get down to 16 tonight, with wind chill advisories. I think I'm going to go sit in front of the fire with DH and DD while they are watching AFV (America's Funniest Videos).

Hello Moovers! (That's my blanket shoutout to all, FYI.) Guess what? (No, Twink...NOT chicken butt.) It's snowing AGAIN. :sad2: In fact, it's been snowing since 8:30 this morning, and it's supposed to snow right through the night and into tomorrow morning. Yay?

Also, my DH is still on leave from work after injuring his leg, and I must report that I have been a good girl and thus far have not bludgeoned him with a large coffee mug for leaving tons of stuff lying around the house and generally messing up my qi. Do I win some sort of prize for showing such restraint? How about if I tell you all that he has decided that the dining room chairs make great coathooks? And that anything obtained from the kitchen cabinets magically makes its way back into the cabinets just by putting said item on the counter. (Yes, it's a magical kitchen, you know.) C'mon, people...throw me a bone here, wouldya?

In other news...well, I don't really have any other news. Or, if I did, I can't remember it right now.

Glad that things seem to be mooving along for everyone around here. Cel's planning a trip, Marita is unmotivated to work, BDG is grouchy, Elisabeth is obscure, and Peej is confused. Sounds like the universe is in order! Oh, and Cookie has proven himself to be quite a survivor. Rock on, Cookie!

Lynt, throwing you a cyber bone here. You are an

My DH actually cleaned up after himself today after cooking a steak. He did the dishes even. :faint:
Miracles CAN happen!

Michael and I convinced Greg that they need to stay for 7 nights! :cool1:

Woo! I'll have babysitters!
So there's only a few hours each day when I could be a danger to myself and others.
Hopefully, Marita will come stay with me for those hours!
Maybe Hollywood could come babysit you. That would be a dream come true for you. A nightmare come true for her. You know I kid!

Marita
...30? In Orlando? It's like y'all actually have winter down there! I'm telling you, the world is coming to an end.

L...I give you mad props for not killing DH yet. And just think...if you have a snow day tomorrow, all 4 of you will be in the house together all day. :hyper:

Moo...excellent smiley speak!!

So today at our faculty meeting the principal was going over the budget cuts for next year. It's not pretty. It was all pretty boring but then she goes "and our paper towel and toilet paper budget is being completely cut." HUH????? Excuuuuse me? Come again?? :confused3 Yes, that's right, as of right now, there are no paper towels or toilet paper in the budget for next year. When someone asked what the carp (get it? heh) we're supposed to do she said "perhaps you can add toilet paper and paper towels to your supply lists next year." Now how would you react if you were reading your child's supply list and it looked like this?

5 notebooks
2 folders
pencils
erasers
5 rolls of toilet paper

COME ON...it's absurd!!!

Or they could bring a towel and a few changes of underwear. What's a little more laundry? :confused3

Actually, make that 3 towels, one for handwashing and two for, ummm, other things?

And what about soap? Is that still in the budget?

1. Shall we have a come to Jesus meetin?

2. Can I get a major ACK????? :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: I have already spent a small fortune on hand sanitizer this year. Maybe next year we'll switch over to hand sanitizer only, no soap, and teachers will be required to provide it. That just sounds charming.

Thanks, Marita!

I have heard of other so-called miracles occurring, such as men who remove wet boots before traipsing through all 7 rooms on the first floor of the house...but I'm fairly certain those are just urban myths.

Thanks, Peej! DH goes to the doctor on Thursday...wouldya mind saying a prayer that he can go back to work soonishly? TIA!

Couldn't the school cut the budget elsewhere? :scared: What'll they do next? Eek! Better not even think about it.

Hi Moo and Allie!

1. Shall we have a come to Jesus meetin?

1. Yes we should! The world as we know it is coming to an end anyway.
Disney released Q1 earnings today, profits are down 32%. I'm telling you now (the collective YOU), that my early retirement offer is coming in February, I feel it in the air.... And I dont know what I would do, as if you dont accept the offer, you might get the ax anyway....

2. I edited my post to include 3 towels. One less EEK factor, if you know what I mean.
We all know that teachers are way overpaid, so what's wrong with paying for sanitizer? Or you could hold a bake sale.... Or go garage sale shopping and sell on Ebay?

Thanks, Peej! DH goes to the doctor on Thursday...wouldya mind saying a prayer that he can go back to work soonishly? TIA!
So let it be written by Lynette, so let it be done. That's how that goes, right?

Marita...I think it's time to get creative. In college once you moved out of the dorms, even if you were on campus (apartment, house, etc.), you weren't provided with toilet paper. In the dorms, there were huge boxes of toilet paper in the basement. Having lived in the dorm half of my freshman year, when I moved into a house my sophomore year, of course I had the genius idea of taking toilet paper from the basement of the dorm buildings!! We would also make our friends in dorms call and say their light bulbs had burned out so they would bring them more and then we would take them to our house. Ah, college. Good times. Anyway, I think I could hit up the bathrooms in a few McDonalds, a Kroger, maybe a Target or 2 and voila....all the toilet paper a class could possibly need!! Think they'll wonder why I'm bringing huge duffel bags into the bathroom? Hm.

Peej, you have many more store possibilities to hit. Just go to a mall or two, Kmart, any number of places.
And of course you have to dump your duffel bad in between visits into your trunk, Silly!

Wait, that just made me think. I think Disney keeps spare TP under lock and key. You'd have to take what's on the roll in most places, I am guessing. Maybe we could take an informal poll right here and have people check public places for extra TP?

1. Yep! That's preZACKly how it goes!! ::yes::

2. Probably. And they might also question why you're tooling around LooUhVul with a Peejmobile full of Cottonelle. Ya think?

ETA: I'm off to bed......sweet dreams, y'all!

Lalijack....OUT.

EEK and A-C-K, windchill of 19 degrees here tomorrow morning. :scared:

I feel a sick day coming on.

My ad says Time for a Kitchen Makeover.

Peej - I remember swiping dorm TP back in the day, LOL! Too bad most commercial places these days have those ginormous sized rolls of TP.

L - Hubby-related prayers are on their way! :rotfl:

Yikes! Seems like every company's earnings were down this past quarter :scared: There are probably some big economy-related changes coming at my workplace too. But I doubt very much that they'll offer early outs.

Well, I have to say that I've done my personal best for Disney's bottom line this past year

Looks like BLT is opening a month early and they are starting to take ressies from new DVCers this Sunday :cool1: I think we'll be visiting for Mari's birthday. Wonder if they'll still be offering free dining in September :scratchin

Hey, I could go for one of those. If I win the Lottery:rolleyes:

We have them in the CM bathrooms. I hate them with a passion!!!!!!!! There is nothing to them! I think they are the thinnest that are made

Thanks, Moo!

When is Mari's Birthday? a far as I know, they will still be offering free dining. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, that could change at any time, but just common sense tells me it would be foolish not to offer it when we need the business. Just my personal opinion, and in no way represents the company position. (BDG, can you translate into legalese please?)

It's on the 19th. I wanted to make it a girls trip and have my sister go, but I guess DH wants to go for Mari's birthday. So it looks like I'll have to have my sister come down at a different time because she has vacationed with the three of us before and once was enough

LOL, well, at least DH wants to go.

I better go to bed, or I wont make it to work tomorrow, and day after is supposed to be colder.... so I better save my sick day

Good Morning Gang

Nice to see you again Lynt! Ya know I think you might like The dh. Whereas I embrace obscur(ity), he embraces Martha Stewart(ity).Seriously, he always puts cups back, picks up socks, arranges cans in the pantry facing out and in order of product and expiration date...I could go on, but you get the picture. I'm a little more relaxed about such matters.

He gets it from his mother. Her house is in perfect order. NOTHING is ever out of place. So what can a girl do but go to her house and turn over one of the books on the coffee table or move picture frames an inch or two?? I wonder why she doesnt like me? :scratchin

Oh and just to keep it fresh, I do the same thing here. I'm curious as to how long it will take The dh to notice. not long btw. And as he is righting the wrong I have caused he usually says "You're trying to drive me crazy, aren't you?"

"Who me???"

I need to say one thing about nip/tuck. (if you havent seen it twink, cel, or whomever skip the next few sentences)

I never really cared much for Liz. She always kinda grated on my nerves, but I actually felt sorry for her last night. How far can one man's narcissicm go?

Don't get me wrong, y'all know I lof Christian, but he was really over the line last night. And so very hurtful to her. His arrogance and pomposity went to a whole nutha level. I did not think that was possible.

That is all. Carry on.

You know speaking of TOILET PAPER.......the stuff at Disney is the thinnest skimpiest stuff I have ever ever seen....You think that Disney would SAVE money by getting the good stuff and then we wont have to use as much......I use a few good wads for one sitting...:snooty: so waste not want not......wait is that how that goes?????????

GOod morning everyone.......I am exhuasted did I tell you that.......taking care of this little peanut is alot of work....she is just 7 months old yesterday and likes to be entertained.....I have to plan going to the ladies room even....right now she is in the playpen eating her toys.......so I have these few moments...

I just put in a call to the Realtor to go and see another piece of property up there in the frozen north......this one is not quite finished inside but that is okey....if the price is right we could finish it ourselves when we want to and when we want to...So Saturday will be a road trip (as hubby calls it)...

Hope you are all well and behaving.....cause I am....I dont have time to get into trouble...
