MommyP- I love how practical you are. And I know you already answered this (perhaps more than once) but, what model camera is the one you're taking back? I really like the photos you were able to take with it. I have my eye on the Nikon D60 at Costco that also has a great lens but it's a tad too spendy for me these days.


Y'all- OH, get this... Yesterday, during "personal prayer" (as opposed to "family prayer") I nicely mentioned to God the need to have another daycare child (to replace Pooh Girl and BlowOut Boy) and I swear, within 10 mins. the phone rang with a parent needing childcare full time. I love when it's an obvious answer to a prayer like that. See, when I have no openings, I get calls ALL the time so I didn't think it would be that long before filling my empty spots (I only have 4 spots). But I hadn't gotten any calls for a loooong time. Maybe it had something to do with the big blaring sign that was in my front yard? LOL. But, really, people don't see my house before meeting me, so it truly was an awesome answered prayer. This family just left my house for our "interview" and I think I'm starting very very soon with this adorable 10 mo. old GIRL. Yayyy! What a relief with Christmas coming.

Yea for answered prayers!!!!

We are not allowed to put signs on our front lawns per licensing rules.

If I advertise in the paper, which I don't anymore, I have to give my license number.

All my calls come from word of mouth, referrals and/or the michigan CDCL website.

My trip is still on Hubby's instructor said since he has already seen the material it was ok to take the week. He has a test the day before we go and a test a week after we come back. I told him he can study on the boat and come out for dinner with us.

Twinkie, close your eyes. Got a weekend update from knitfreak today. All lovey, dovey.(Not with me, with HIM!) He gave here another MP3 player, this one loaded with 100 sappy songs, vs the first one with 30 sappy songs. To be exchanged every week with new songs. How many sappy love songs can there be?

Plus he gave her a book (like a kids book) with a little story about 2 dinosaurs that fall in love. She melts his heart, they consider their differences (i.e. shopping and sports) and decide love is just the best thing ever and just live with it. It;s soo dang sweet and sickening, LOL.

Sorry you're having trouble finding a hotel. That's a really tough time to find a room so you may end up paying more than you want to to get a room somewhere for just one night.

Heya Moovers! The city of Boston has finally begun recovering from the tsunami of snark that swept over it on Friday evening! I hope y'all will indulge us both while we post pics of our fabu night on the town. Feel free to skim and/or roll your eyes.

alrighty, I have approval for a couple of LYNETTE/ELISABETH meet pics. Boston didnt know what hit it. The snark was flying. OMGosh we laughed until we cried. We ate at a little Italian restaurant called Trattoria Il Panino. I think it was Italian for "The food is great, but the service sucks" lol The good thing about the service being slow was it gave us more time to chitchat. We were never at a loss for words, were we snarkgirl? And the dh's seemed to hit it off pretty darn well. They talked of manly things like guns and pretty gals and guns and bbq and did i mention guns? ha.

All true! But you forgot donuts, politics and Bill Belichick's wardrobe. Just saying.

I brought Lynette a little present. The main present was some candy that is well known 'round these parts, BUT how could I not supply her with her very own bumpah stickah??? and since she and the Pope are texting buddies, I thought this one to be appropriate. The plan was to find Lynts car and place them on there, along with an Obama sticker, and take some pics, but alas the plan failed cuz Boston parking sucks. Dangit. How can I be a proper smartypants if the city won't cooperate!!!

She had me at candy. As for the bumpah stickah, she KNOWS they are verboten 'round these parts, but I'll forgive her smartypantsness because I am a kind and benevolent friend. (Plus, like I said, she brought me candy!)

after we ate, we walked outside and then stopped at a quaint little place for some Italian sweets. YUMMY. We discovered that Joe and I have the same favorite ice cream. (mint chocolate chip) and Joe was very funny-ish. Ok, some of his jokes were corny, but I like a guy who's not afraid to be corny. LOOK! Sweets are behind us!!! *drool*

Oh, sure. He used the corny material at first, and by the end of the evening, he and Ron were competing for grossest story (Ron won that one) and raunchiest joke (that one went to Joe).

Lynette and I had so much fun. But the evening aint over yet. I have some more pics and Lynt does too. Post away snark sistah!! I'll try to swing back later to finish telling you about our wild and crazy adventures. Feel free to fill in the gaps snarkbritches. 'Cept you dont have to tell EVERYTHING. heh. EEKK! I have to take DD to the airport at 5am tomorrow. This is ME, who usually gets up around 9 AM! I might shock the crew tomorrow by being in to work earlier than they are. Which is a very rare thing indeed! I think I did that 3 times in 12 or more years....

She was going to have a GF take her, but that apparently fell though. SO now I'm IT!


So I better call it an early night tonight and drink plenty of Nyquil....

Here are the last of my pics. We had some poor schmuck snap a pic while we galavanted the streets of Boston. He looked so happy to be taking our pic.

Here's the two snark sistahs. We may or may not have stayed out a BIT past our bedtime. We finally parted company at 2 a.m.. but we could have gone oh so much longer.

and every vacation picture has to include a pic of the dh's posterior (please see trip report for details), but this time we got to include Lynt's dh in the posterior pics. 'cept you cant hardly see it cuz he wore dark clothes.

Celery: OF course I told Mr. King all about you. duh.

Julia is on the student council and she had to wake up extra early to prepare for a Veterans day program at school. She was kind of grumbling about having to get up early, but I reminded her that perhaps that is the LEAST she can do to pay homage to the men and women who served our country in the armed forces.

The kids assembly bring tears to my eyes it was so touching. With the singing and pictures I had goose bumps.

Wow, no we're not near that cold, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining. It's in the 50's but that is cold for us Southern Belles.

Yes, the kids are off due to Veteran's Day. We have a military base here in town, so most of the parents get the day off, so I guess that is why they give us the day off. Although, all the stores are open. It is very weird to have a day off in the middle of the week though. I'll be messed up for the rest of the week because I won't be able to remember what day it is. I'm not complaining because I always enjoy a day off. DS is still sleeping, and he didn't even go to bed that late. Oh well, he's a growing boy and he needs his rest. Plus he had a retreat this weekend, with the youth group, and their stated bed times were 1:00 AM and 1:30 AM for Friday and Saturday nights. I guess he needs to ketchup on his sleep.

Yeah, what Cel said! For the record, I am 5'2". As I mentioned above, I was wearing heels. Considering that my g-ma is 4'7" and neither of my parents was over 5'5", I think I'm pretty darn tall! And Cel, you always look tall in the pics I've seen of you.
