Great pics. Lynt! We already knew you and the kids were cuties, but that hubby of yours is very nice too :)

Thanks, Marita. He cleans up well. I like to tell him that I married him because he looks good in a suit. Heh.

Hey I didn't miss the pictures!

Lynette-- your sure have a hold of Mickey...:lmao: Lovely family.

Twinkie-- Canada is still here...just very busy like you, running to activities to keep the kids from getting bored. We are heading for another long weekend but don't have anything planned for it.

NAB, Mickey almost knocked me over right before that shot was taken. His handler kept saying, "Squeeze together!", so Mickey squeezed me toward the center of the shot. Grabby mouse!

Hi gang. I've been working all weekend. And no end in sight.

One of my babies choked today. It turned purple. I went to suction it, and the suction syringe was out of the crib! It is on our flow sheet to make sure it is in the crib with every assessment. The nurse had just assessed this baby, but it was not in there.

Luckily, there was another nurse in the nursery and I had to yell at her to bring me suction. In the meantime this baby was changing from purple to black. You would think the worst thing a nurse could hear is a baby choking. It's not. The worst thing is to NOT hear the baby choke. That means there is absolutely no air exchange. I had the baby on it's side and was doing back thrusts but I couldn't get it to take a breath. I finally got it suctioned, but I had to give it oxygen and then hook up the deep wall suction and clean out its belly. Thank goodness I didn't hear anything in it's lungs when I listened. So I dont think it aspirated anything. *whew* Why did I just share that? I have no clue. I think it is just on my mind and I'm tired. and rambling. surprised????

After that, my day only got worse. I won't bore you with details, but it's never good to start off your day with a purple baby....just sayin.

Hope you guys had a great weekend.

Catch up when I can!

So what did you suck up? Seriously, I am interested. Not trying to be gross.

Hi Steph! Good to see you!

Question, are you going to update your TR or did you abandon it?

I am working on an update to the TR.

Been having a problem with DS's shoulder. They are uneven. Dr. claims that they are ok, and took xrays even.

Thought that he had just popped it out of joint again, but doc says no??

Is there a such thing as a pediatric chiropactor? Maybe that would help? I will try to post pics later, to show what I mean.

I see kids going to my chiropractor...very few though...Good luck

Yikes on the shoulder, Steph!

Remnds me of DD tearing a ligament in her knee years ago. Not that it was chiropractor related, just the injury thing. Cost us thousands of $$ to get it fixed even after insurance. And then she went BACK to playing Lacrosse (where this happened) and still plays and referees. And no Insurance riight now. :scared1: She ran out under my policy, and we have to pay big bucks for school insurance soon. Right now she got NOTHING!

Thats a scary thought...but I went for years with no insurance...but I rarely every get sick...I still go to the doctor for my diebeteas and the chripractor with the insurance I have now pays except the 20 bucks deductable.

Just popping in to say goog night. I am in a major Scrabulousless funk :sad1:

Last edited by babynurse1 : Today at 03:30 PM. Reason: Scrabblettes!! YOUR TURN. whoops. my bad. heh heh
Waaaaaaaaahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about your baby scare again, E.

I just can't get up in the mornings. Can't get DS to bed early enough to suit me. Today is his REAL birthday. Eight years old already. :guilty:

I mentioned to him last night that Mimi would be moving out soon and he was devastated. He told me to call those people and tell them that I changed my mind and Mimi would NOT be moving to campus. NOT! :upsidedow He loves his Mimi.

Please continue to pray for my friend who lost her son. Her struggle is not getting easier and some days she seems much worse. I worry about her. A lot.

Moo....My friend is an urban planner. He started with a firm and then went out on his own. I would think Mari's interest in the environment and sustainability would make her a hot commodity these days! Tell her to keep looking. (preferably inside the mitten.)
Lex - Happy birthday to your little man!!! :cake: I'm sorry he's so upset about Mimi heading off to school

Prayers sent for your friend. I am going to keep in close touch with my sister over the next few weeks and try to help her clean out her dad's apartment. I really think it helps to have your friends and family show how much they care after losing a family member. You might also want to suggest that your friend get some counseling or go to a grief support group if she is not already doing that. Anti-anxiety meds can help too sometimes.

Thanks for the kind words about Mari. I think she is just a tad discouraged right now. Michigan's economy is so bad right now, I'm not too hopeful about the job market, butshe may feel better after being home for a bit.

Scrabblettes!

I see that Scrabulous is "disabled till further notice" (a law suit?)
but Scrabble Beta is available to play. Which is also in Facebook. Looks to be similar to the real-fake thing we've been playing, and is by Hasbro
Wendy - I'll have to see if I can find it. Or maybe you could send me an invite if you're already on there??! :)

Hi Lynette...Moo wants to watch SYTYCD tomorrow night with us...:woohoo:
BH - Thanks for the reminder!!! :happytv: Loved the cowgirl graphics

Peej - I vote YES for Oliver too!

Lynette - I'm sad I missed seeing your pics. I took the puppies for a ride tonight when I picked up a prescription and some Chinese for dinner and I was lollygagging reading a book after dinner.

Mony - Hope you're able to get your thyroid checked soon and that everything's OK

Steph - My sister's kids have been going to the chiropractor for years. Sorry I killed your TR thread!!!

Kay, Allie, and DTD - Welcome back! We missed ya!

Twink - Another vote for t-shirt pics!

Cel - I agree. Breadman needs high speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Moo, Im glad you can join us tomorrow night for the show...those pics were great rumblytuimbly had More ( a hole series)

GOOD MORNING!

DS's birthday was goog. A neighbor/friend took him swimming yesterday and then he came home in time for some pizza-man pizza and wuckety cake. (Pizza-man pizza is his name for delivery pizza and wuckety (really bad/awful cake came from the grocery because my oven is broken.)

Anyway Mimi & her boyfriend showed up with a Naruto game for the Wii and some Naruto DVD's. I let Emily give him the Naruto PS2 game that I bought. He was happy and now has lottsa Naruto to occupy his time.

Moo....Don't be discouraged. I am a firm believer that if Mari is meant to stay in MI, she will certainly get a job. My friend is medicated and seeing a counselor but still not doing great. She going to join a Bible study when she gets back. Hopefully that will provide some support.

Lynt....I want to see the pictures! Are they posted on Facebook?

PJ....Is the cat a boy or a girl cat? We always name our cats but like Marita, we always end up calling them "kitty".

Monica
....Physical therapy? I hate that answer. Can you have bulging discs forever? Do they have to rupture before they do surgery? DH had C3 fused a few years ago. Did you say you've had the surgery before?

WT....Let me know when you're going to the mall next time and we'll meet up.

NAB, Celery, Celery's mama, Wendee, DTD, Hound, BNCG, Twink, et al.....:wave2:

EVERYBODY HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Physical therapy is good. I did it for my back. It really helped. The traction part especially.

What I like about the neck part is I get heat massage.

I don't want surgery. It's my last resort. You can have bulging disc forever i guess. I've had them since 2001 and they haven't bothered me until a few months ago. Right now they are interfering with my life and common everyday movements. My left arm is extremely under pain and I can barely use the squeezing motion in my hand it burns my forearm. And because of my discs, my right arm just has limitations or my neck/head hurts. So, they are doing the EMG which is needles in the arm to check my nerves and for damage.

You don't want your disc to rupture cause then, I think your only option is surgery.

I am sad about Scrabulous.

ATTENTION!
CELMAMA!
Would you post already!?!?!?!?!
I haven't talked to you since Monday.
I know you're not awake right now, but it's getting on my nerves.
Granny called last night to see if I've reported your phone out again, but I don't know what good it will do since it's gotta be something in the house.
Maybe your internet is out this time too?

Back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Hi y'all!

DTD: You didn't see me? Hiding behind the dumpster? My stalking skillz are tres magnifique. :cool2: Thanks for the tip Marita.

PJ: Good Lord, does RS need to draw you a map to the park? I told him you wouldn't find it.

SnarkbRitches: I missed the pics! Luckily, I happened upon some WDW pics at the hott college chicks apt.:rolleyes1

Java: I sucked up a triple threat combo of blood, amniotic fluid, and formula. Woo Hoo! The Hispanic baby was choking on colostrum. One of the pediatricians told me that colostrum is not aspirated in the baby's lungs, that if they do get it in their lungs, it is simply reabsorbed. Isn't that amazing? However, getting it stuck in your esophagus can be problematic.

WT: Sneaky, aintcha? Lexi, you should have clarified which mall. We could have had a great big ol' dismeet at the mall. Marita and I could have jumped out from behind the dumpster. Twinkie could have pinpointed your exact location using her Nancy Drew technology. Celery could have impressed you with her "ONCE YOU GO SNACK cracker, YOU NEVER GO BACK" t-shirt, Lynt could have finally harumphed you in person. (hey, put those away SG!), PJ could have acted confused. Actually, that's not all that different or noteworthy., Moo could have texted you from the batphone, Bloodhound could have had a banner designed thanks to rumblytumbly, Utah could have shared a Diet Pepsi with you, (somehow not the same as sharing a Diet Coke though), Monica could have demonstrated some of those chiropractic tips she's learned, Nab could have shared pics of her newly remodeled kitchen, MommyP could have breastfed that baby with her newly sewn wrap thingy in tow, Pumba could have brought the snacks-isn't it almost squirrel season?, Allie, Steph, Kay, CelMomma, and Sandy could have performed a cheer. "Wheat Thins, Wheat Thins he is great, We all know it's not right to hate!! YAY!!!!" Cy, DTD, and Lil G could have just played it cool. One big happy Mooovin' family
