Wendy, you were definitely missed!!! :grouphug:

We ALL have our issues  and need our friends!

Lynette - Are you, PJ, and bbn seriously getting together for a little meet? How fun!!!!!! If you do, you'll have to do a mini-TR :dance3:

Hi, Cel! I'm still not used to you being able to post during the weekend ;)

I need to go watch SNL (if it's on tonight) :rolleyes1

Moo, that's the plan. It's in its embryonic stages though. Getting a Peej to commit to a specific weekend is like trying to put a necktie on a jellyfish, KWIM?

Chillax, LilL....you KNOW I'm just funnin' wit ya! :rotfl:

Can I come back? I miss you guys!!!! :grouphug: Sorry I left! I didn't know if I was welcome with my "open" personal problems, but I need my friends!!!

You are always welcome!!! :grouphug: As everyone else said, if we get kicked out because of our problems, we'd all been gone long ago. You were one of my first "friends" here on the DIS, so you hold a special place in my heart. ;)

Oh, and DD got a 100 on her Utah project!!! Thanks for the details. :thumbsup2 She needed the extra credit 'cause she didn't do the best in voice projection, and eye contact. :rolleyes1 She didn't inherit her mama's volume. :rotfl2:

Twinkie, I am definitely going to make yours at least 40 inches. This one was a little under 30 and I don't like it as much as my pink silk 40 incher. But I had already cut the fabric along time ago. So I was stuck. :guilty:

Yes! I want it to be wide to keep my growing boy contained. He tends to dive bomb out of the other one these days. Plus you know I will be nursing during the country bear jamboree, carosel of progess, spaceship earth unless he self weans in the next 58 days.

It's snowing!

Well, not in the valley where we are at 4,000 elevation, but in the lower mountains at 7,000 ft. But it's raining and gray and miserable weather-wise.

Can I come back? I miss you guys!!!! :grouphug: Sorry I left! I didn't know if I was welcome with my "open" personal problems, but I need my friends!!!

1. I know about the snow. My parents left SLC today and said they were dragging a cold front after the unseasonably warm weather for their entire vacation.
2. Welcome back! That is what friends are for... caring, sharing, in-jokes, nonsense, geese attacks, etc etc.

3. Did someone say personal problems? I have some. Let's just say this hasn't been the best week in history for my family. I didn't learn this at math camp but I think it is true

A burden shared is halved, a joy shared is doubled. :teacher:

GOOD MORNING!

Quiet, do-nuthin weekend here. Thank goodness. I'm tired of running around every weekend.

Friday: watched Made of Honor
Saturday: watched PS I Love You

I am now officially in love with Gerard Butler. Do you think he'd be interested in a 45 yr old secretary from Kentucky?

Marita? Are ya there yet?

Wendee? That's what we're here for, woman! Ditto the halfed/doubled comment by Twinkie. We love ya.

Lynette....It's in the 40s here too at night but in the 70's/80's during the day so no AC for the last week. Are you really coming to KY? To meet up with your freaky, ax-murdering internet friends? I'll drive over for lunch or dinner if I'm invited. :flower3:

Moo, Allie, Sandy, Celery, PJ, ever-body..........:wave2:

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY!

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.”
- Isaiah 55:6

Wendy: Seriously! Do you need to use your phone a friend option?

It's freezing cold today. Frost on everything.

I went to the eye doctor yesterday cause I just can't see right.

He found "something" on my cornea that he's clueless about. He asked if I injured my eye. Not that I know of.

He wants me to see a cornea specialist.

When I'm really trying to read, or look at distance stuff, it's like I'm looking through cellophane in my right eye. It's really annoying.

Know what he said: Maybe they can scrape the cells so they can regenerate and maybe it will grow back ok so you can see.:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

My vision got worse too. Just last year I got a new prescription and I just ordered new lenses yesterday. It really took a dump.

golly gee Wendy - I love you too, I do hope we are friends...

Ok, Twinkie - you are wise - thank you for your quotes...

and I was going to tell Wendy its all MY fault - I spout all my troubles, and maybe theyare just branching out to everyone else? I do hate posting negative troubles - but I do need a place to put it in perspective - or yes, blatantly get a :grouphug: and I truly get a chuckle out of the virtual :drinking1

:worship: Friends... :goodvibes

Good Afternoon everyone...we just got back froom church and had lunch....now Im off to Louisville for first of the month bargains at CVS shopping and visiting with my sister and little Justin

hey you guys.
Hope that Marita made it to Germany with our good thoughts flying with her.

Wendy.....you are such a great person and you were always so welcoming to me and my last year or two problems.......I think you and all of you here got me thru some really bad times.......HONEST..

Last nights supper was a great success.....although my legs are kinda sore today.......making sauce that took a while and then two 13 x 9 pans of lasagna and salads and breads and 5 dozen mini pastries ( I bought those) well I am tired I can tell ya that..

Family is a great thing to have ......I do love my family.....I will miss my sister and her husband when they leave to go back to NY....but I love time warner cable and phone cause I can call anywheres in the US and canada and Puerto rico for nothing.......

Hope you all have a great fall day ..

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

Lex - I like Gerard Butler too ;) It's been speculated that he might play Jamie Fraser if they ever film Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.

Mony! :3dglasses That sounds kind of scary. Hope they can figure out a good solution quick. I'm sure if they need to do anything to your cornea they'll have some good meds so it won't be uncomfortable

Sandy - We all need a way to put things into perspective :thumbsup2

Well, Marita should be at her mom's by now! Hope they're having a pleasant reunion.

Pumba - Glad your dinner was a success! My daughter is going to be driving from DC to Maine tomorrow to visit a friend from her undergrad years for a few days :car:

The trees at the end of our driveway were TPed last night. For the second time in the last few weeks. Sigh. Guess I should get out there and clean it up. We thought it was just a random thing the first time it happened, but now I'm not so sure :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: Thanks, I'm so glad that my misfortune brought so much cheer to my "internet friends". ;) If it hadn't happened to me, I would have never believed it. I am so glad I have all of you to share my trials, and triumphs with. :grouphug:

Love your burden/joy statement Twinks.

Monica - YIKES!!!! That sounds youchy if you have to have that done. :scared: Hope they can get to the bottom of your problem so you can see properly.

Wendy - :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Lex - Sorry about the football yesterday. Needless to say DS is "puffed up and proud" today. AL needs to lose so he can come back down to earth. :rotfl: Actually, AL is finally due for a good year 'cause it hasn't been that way for a while. :sad2:

Pumba - Glad your dinner with the family went well. :thumbsup2

Moo - Hope it isn't the neighbors. Maybe it is just kids who got the address wrong?

Off to take DS and friend to the church flag football practice, then possibly picking out a Halloween costume for DD. It has to fit within the budget, and not be to "revealing". Also, it has a $ limit. :thumbsup2

:badpc: This darn computer wouldn't let me on again. I thought we had the problem fixed.

UMA-- This is a great place to vent and share our ups and downs. Have some laughs and maybe some cries too. We worry when someone doesn't check in for awhile. Think of this as your second home where you can come anytime and we will be here. :grouphug:

Moo-- I have only seen trees papered on TV... What did you do to your neighbours.

Mony-- Make sure you get that checked, wouldn't want you to lose your sight. I hate going to the eye doctor and could never wear contacts. He has to be fast just to put drops in my eyes because I usually close them fast.

BH-- Have fun with your family. Happy shopping too.

back again!

GO BEARS!! (and its just an anomoly dear Detroit, we know Chicago is going to crash and burn! Give me time to enjoy, and get hooked into.. just maybe THIS IS THE YEAR.... and then lose 3 straight... oh wait, that's the CUBS :sad1: )

nab  Glad you got online - hope it stays fixed!

Marita Hope you can enjoy your stay " I love you mom" and take nothing she says "in" - let it go!! (and I hope you are too busy to get online during your vacation!!) smooth travels!

PJ Its a great day!!

Mony Good Golly Miss Mony!! :wizard: This too shall pass - enough already!!

Alli are you training at all?? I need to get up and move again - I am growing - around the middle area... need to go back to

Uma's Peep thread!!! Hope you're still a losin!!

Lexi I really need to see some of the movie recs!! Good quote for this week!!

Moo I've always hated the TP thing - when I moved in high school, the "lower class" HS district, TP was a sign someone didnt like you - the district we moved to it was so a "status" thing and you should be "honored" :confused3 (and its like that where we live now) um are you KIDDING ME? an honor to clean it all up?? Homecoming this week - brought out hte TP in full force - but the rain sloshed the mess into the streets, cars ran over it - what a mess!!!

Pumba its been so long since I've had goog lasagna!! YUMMM!!

Hi Moovers! I am off to go get a new ticker!!

When we moved into our first home we were egged. It happened within a few months. Not a very nce welcome.

Um I think I was just insulted by the bagger at the grocery store. He put my cat litter and bottled water on the bottom of my cart. As I was walking away he said "don't forget the stuff on the bottom." Okay, that's all good and well. But he then adds...."you look like you might." Excuuuuuse me???? I say we harumph him.

A burden shared is halved, a joy shared is doubled. :teacher:

AMEN to that, Twink! (Did the DH bring those wise words home from Sunnybrook? ;) )

Melinda, our daytime highs have been only in the low to mid-60s, but I don't mind if the sun is shining.

Yep...a trip to KY is in the works. We're still batting around dates, but we'll keep you posted, k? I'd LOVE to have you meet us for lunch or dinner!

Today, Natasha attended a makeover birthday party at Justice. So cute! Ten 7 and 8 year old girls having their hair done in "rock star glam" styles, then playing games and perfecting their rock star dance moves. They even did a funky catwalk so the b-day girl's mom could take pics of the girls hamming it up. I stayed to help the hostess. After the party at Justice was over, we walked the girls over to Coldstone Creamery and the hostess bought all the girls an ice cream.

While we were at the party, DH and Boris closed the pool for the season. Waaah! :sad1: I guess summer really is gone.
