Mommy P-- I have never seen those before. Only Crocs around here are your typical beach, flip flop or Mary Jane type ones or the ones that are wooly inside for warm. Sure you don't need those but I can't say we need any for snakes.. But they look good for the rain and mud.

With Nicholas being so tall we always had to say he was really his age because he looks two years older. Even now when the kids menus go to age 12 we have to say he is only 11. Mind you he usually eats of the adult menu now unless we are feeling extra cheap....

I still ask to order of the kid's menu all the time. At places where there's literally nothing vegetarian on the menu (Bonefish Grill comes to mind...HATE that place) they usually offer me the kid's menu anyway. I guess my food tastes never grew up.

hey guys.......I am here for a few. I had my surgery on Wednesday and tried to post I think one day here. But my eye was so swollen and black and blue that I scared the kiddos. I could not open it to see out of it. The pressure was up to 34 on Thursday recheck at 7 am and had to go back at 2pm to have another pressure check . the two drops they put in made it go down to 24. There is no pain but the anesthesiologist hit a blood vessel and this is why I am swollen and one ugly mama. Well Gramma.....It doenst hurt at all so I am glad of that. The surgerys are actually easy and not uncomfortable. I was really afraid for nothing. I do have to wear my old glasses so I can read. SO I guess reading glasses will be on the agenda. I can handle that I guess. I can see and that is the main thing.

I really cant re read the old posts from the last few days ...so as long as you are all okey that is the main thing. Is there something I have missed ....please give me a hint.

Donnisha....I can't believe the kid ratted out her mom! Mimi pretended to be 9 on our 2000 trip. But she was 9 when I booked the trip....and had only JUST turned 10 not 11. AND. Still early enough to go out AFTER you get off at midnight? My mother always said "nothing good happens after midnight." And a few hours in the morning before you go to work at 4pm? That made me laugh.

See, if she was 9 at the time you booked the trip, I'm fine with that. 11 seems like a bit of a stretch. I totally understand why people do it, though. The kid's price on the buffet is $16.99 which is absurd enough, but the adult price is $33.99. $34!!!!!! Insane, I tell you.

And I am a night owl. I wake up after midnight. Those are my best hours.

I'm off to the gym and the Apple store. Not the food. The computer. My iPod is no longer functioning. I'm sure they'll tell me there's nothing they can do, but I figure I should at least try before I spend my hard earned money on a new one!! See, Lexi, time to do a few things before I go in at 4!

mony..i hope everything..turns out. i sorry..for the sudden health
scare....sometimes..life is tuff! hopefully..we can provide....you & your family
..some comforts measures...[ sure everybody..will be rally their best efforts
for a good outcome, by faith.]


...on a similar note..that lil'nurse that was sick... me..everytime
she see me now....my lil'miss...is getting a lil' . however, as i
reminded her [the nurse]...everyone, every day..is fighting for life...
it just the nature..of things..that we don't think..how fragile...we are
until...we brush up..against..our own...limitations.


...being a professional observer...over time, has created...a lil'more
apprication....of not only recognizing the dynamics..of life but the
ways..things work..& the options available to us.

* it is in that arena..that is also disappointing to me...just by making
simple..changes..we could..improved so much more in our world, &
day to day routines.

..we just got back in..a pt.., that haven't been there for years. the problem,
..with so many...i can't keep up..with all. but he sure did remember me...&
the interventions...i taught. well, that's a good thing..about reality..while ,
my memory..may fade...i still can go right back where..i left off...which has
the potential ..for rebuilding.

now..even if ..one is a master..of human dynmaics...can run into a
ground..why? ..so much..we forget and then the strssors...of any situation
can...make us fault and/or..direct..us to " reactions formations"...there're
as many reasons..for ineffective coping as there are problems. mankind,
has this awful....pattern of behavior/s...called habits. abc's of problem
solving....is a nice coping skills. then knowing one's value system..and
desires...are effective too. "back and forth"..tendencies ..are learned
behaviors....soooo if we temepered our disappointments..& keep @ it,
i think...there are no life challenges...we can resolved, redirect, or
accept..to keep our...desires..toward finding.....the thing.....we seek
most...happiness.

* soooo keeping @ it..& hope..are powerful dynamics...if we used our
resources..toward the things ..we can control..but also the things we
do differently?


fyi....why share....iwhen i was forced..into...mental health....it didn't
take..long..that i needed new skills...[ however, i had been developing
alot of interventions..while working..icu & didn't know it]. and of
course..there's my "own" life......where ..like..everyone else...
experiencing all kinds..of challenges. sooo why not used "work skills"
..in my own...situations.."fringe benefits"..& there { in the community},
...i really....got to see..the real ...effectivness..of selecting alternatives...
i would have never..considered before. enpowerment...is self realization
with the willness..to respect others..while seeking self improvment.


i would not be..so " "..and putting it out there..if it hasn't been
sucessful...@ finding...happiness..in my day to day routines.

..pyhsical health...determine the factors..how long
one will live...while mental health....is all about squeezing...happiness
from that timeframe. of our systems..i think..it is very interesting...how
important ..our well being...is dependant..on those we share life with.

Enough to get it into a ponytail if the urge strikes me. So I'll just play with the color to keep things interesting until I get the length I'm looking for. What are YOU gonna do with your hair?




In other news, I took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda last night with one of Boris' friends from school (a girl, whose name is Isabella. According to her mom, she has quite a crush on Boris! She sat next to him in the theater and made googly eyes at everything he did and said!)

We had a great time, but Natasha overdid it with the popcorn, which was drenched in slimy pseudo-butter. Just as I was getting into bed last night, I heard sputtering from her room. By the time I got to her, she had beurked all over everything, but especially herself! I had to strip her down and give her a shower, wash her hair, strip her bed and wash the floor. Poor thing! Thankfully, she's okay now. But I don't think she'll be looking to snack on popcorn any time soon.

Kung Fu Panda was cute. Boris really wanted to see Wall-E, but I try not to see movies in the first few days after their release. Too many people crammed into the theater, IMHO. So we're going to see Wall-E another day (soon, tho).

Hey everyone!

Must be electronics weekend. DS just called, he is heading out to get a hotel room (just him, NO ROOMIES for a change) and going to look for a laptop He can get one without sales tax (military benefit), and go out to dinner with some buddies, and then study for tests next week. I told him to look for me too, mine is starting up really slow lately, and I dont think I want another work issue one. I can't even install Google Earth

He said next week is called "Hell week" Lots of obstacle courses, leadership tests, and advocacy (this doesnt look right) briefs. But after that he will be coasting with just classroom instructions.

Still have to make a decision on driving vs flying. DH wants to drive. He said to DS, well, 8 hours drive doesnt sound bad. DS said "but you will have MOM in the car"

PJ, glad you are alive and kicking at Chef Mickey's! I'm not sure DD could even text from the vatican to the US of A, and my home phone doesn't do text messages, (yikes) and I never turn my cell phone on, just for emergencies.

DD sent an email last night from Florence, Italy, saying she was MUSEUMED OUT. I forgot if I mentioned that, and I keep forgetting the Ginko stuff.

Just put in a load of laundry and was working on work stuff (great fun, both budget and forecast next week) and I am getting sleepy. But I really need my nails done (for typing purposes) but waiting for a less busy time of day.

Lynt, I just got my hair cut to shoulder length last week and need to break out the color tomorrow.

I bought some stew meat yesterday, hopefully I will feel the inspiration to cook tomorrow, otherwise it will go in the freezer, cause not going to happen during the week.
Amazing what not having any kids drop by makes in my my dishes I ran a load last night with mostly plates and silverware and some glasses, no pots or pans.

I am mentally prepared to run out at a moments' notice to get a new laptop if (when) this one dies. Unless it's like 9pm or later, in which case I will suffer till the next day and just take the day off.
