DS came over and we walked my dogs - *sigh, life is good!

except for my mom and my brother - I'm so overwhelmed. I did write my brother -sent him a card that sang "day by day" - he called my mom and told her he'll never talk to me because I "disrespect" mom -

I got a note from sil saying we have NOTHING IN COMMON and they have chosen to cut me from their lives "a long time ago - didnt you notice?"" um i thought I was giving them their space - and um we have the same parents, relatives, that's a start for commonality!!

so its just getting more dramatic - I unearthed some junk my mom did to aid and encourage this!! so, I just pray and let them know I love them... I refuse to get into bad gossip or hurt feelings, its time to move on!! and GROW UP!!

I hooked up a wireless network at my house last night since Mimi's new MacBook is on its way. Now my computer will just barely run. OK, it's old. But. What have I done. I think I need to delete some programs and unpin some stuff from the startup menu. Anybody know how to do that? Oh...and maybe get some more memory.

Just going to a wireless network shouldn't have any impact on the way your computer is running unless there was a problem with the install of a network adapter (wireless card). If you are using Windows XP click on Start, Control Panel, then double click on the System icon. Click on the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager. Scroll down to Network Adapters and see if there is a yellow question mark or exclamation point beside the wireless adapter. If there is then it is probably a driver issue with it which normally means it was not installed correctly.

As far as cleaning up old programs just go to the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall (remove) anything that you don't use (but if you see something there that you don't know what it is don't remove it until you find out if it is really necessary).

If the device manager looks ok and after removing old programs the computer is still running slowly let me know and I will tell you some other things to try, just let me know what version of Windows your are running and if it is the computer that is slow or if it is just your internet connection that is slow.

Lexi, unfortunately I am in deperate need for those $50K at work (and I could ue some myself too) But I am giddy about finding them, we have been blowing the budget all year, and this is a drop in the bucket.
We got F&B and Engineering pointing fingers at each other, such fun!

Mony - I'm also sending prayers for goog pain control for Tim. Remember to get your rest while he is in the hospital if you can - being at the hospital can be hard on family members and it can really sneak up on you

My little sister's dad is in the hospital, so I took dinner up to her and visited with her while she took a break. She stayed at the hospital last night so her half-sister came to relieve her tonight because she was pretty exhausted. Hope she's able to get some decent sleep tonight.

Wendy - I HATE it when people are early and I'm not ready I need to work on my house this weekend. My friend from Florida who posted here a while back is visiting Michigan and I am hosting a little get together with friends on Monday night.

Moo - it was really hard reading today with post all over the place.

Twinkie-- we are always out this late. High School students were out two weeks ago. We go back day after Labour day.

A lot of people off today and Monday. Taking extra long weekend, since everything will be closed Tuesday for Canada Day. Today felt like Saturday since the kids were home.
