My aunt just sent me this email:
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl, "Will you marry me?"

The girl said: "NO!"

And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping,
dancing, camping, drank martinis, always had a clean house, never
had to cook, did whatever the heck she wanted, never argued, didn't
get fat, traveled more, had many lovers, didn't save money, and had
all the hot water to herself. She went to the theater, never watched
sports, never wore lacy lingerie that went up her butt, had
high self esteem, never cried or yelled, felt and looked fabulous in
sweat pants and was pleasant all the time.

The End
That is the best story EVER!
I'd like to add: or fell into an open toilet at 2AM...

AND, do not take your witty banter elsewhere. I WILL beg if need be. ::yes::

Where is everyone? Just a note I got to take care of 3 little boys today and got pd to do it. They are 1yr.,3,7. I only had 2 awake at a time. It was fun.
Would you also mind tending a 3,8,10,19, and 48 year old? I'll pay you in hugs after a good long nap.

They scheduled Tim's surgery for June 23. She wanted to schedule it the 16th, but Tim's regular Dr. wouldn't see him before the 19th to clear him for surgery. The MIT people even called his regular dr. and they wouldn't budge. It's just frustrating. You can call when you are sick and be seen 10 minutes later, but you need surgery ASAP and nope, gotta wait.

I have a family here that's related to some of the family I've grown apart from. The mom tells me today that one of my cousins wife was telling people that Tim had Stage Three Cancer.

1. It's a tumor that most likely is cancer, but there's still a chance it's not.
2. And if he did? Why haven't you called to express ANYTHING?

We didn't tell anyone he had any stage of anything. We've read about staging and grading, but that's about it.

I have a mind to call and say a few things, but I don't want to make things hard for my mom. It's her family.

Ok, rant over. I want a glass of wine so badly, but not on Phase 1 of SB!
I'm glad it's scheduled even though it's not as soon as y'all'd like.

I completely hear you on the potty training.
I sympathize the plight of the working mother...but STILL.

When the wine runs out here is a Dole Whip to hold you over awhile
dolewhip.jpg
AH! the DW Float. That's roughly 3 inches wasted on JUICE. I'm a fan of the one without the juice. But, it's still a lot of sugar and lactose. MAN, do I really have to wait till OCT. for one of those?

I'll join in with that drink!

DD is leaving tomorrow for her month long trip to Europe, Of course evreything I say is met by some
sarcarstic remark :(

I might trade a toddler in diapers for a 23 yr old!

No set itinerany, her BF's mom is playing it by ear. So if DD goes missing, I got nothing! She was somewhere between Germany and Italy :scared1:

House is mostly cleaned in case potential future in-laws, (who are picking her up tomorrow) need a restroom break on the way.
How about a fully potty trained Norah? :bitelip:

UGH, I'd love to tour Europe some day! (Besides World Showcase)

The olny time Ive been out of the US was to South America years ago ,,,to visit friends we met at LSU ,,,I went alone and was there for 2 weeks...I loved it...we had snow on the ground here in Dec.and I came back with a suntan it was a awesome trip.
I've been to Tijuana Mexico and Victoria Canadia and North DakoHta, do those count as foreign travel?

MOO HOO, I have my Internet and phone back at home!!!!!!!!! (The cable TV quality is crappy now, but I really don't care.) I was finally able to access Facebook!

This is my friend whose daughter just gradjiated that I did all that scrapbooking for. My friend's mom flew in from Florida, even though she thought my friend shouldn't have had an open house for her daughter in the first place. Prior to the open house, when it was near 90 and humid, she wouldn't let my friend turn on her AC while she was cleaning and doing other prep work. In her own home!

The day of the open house, when it was in the 80s I arrived and was kind of appalled to see all the food sitting out without any way to keep it chilled. I'm talking lots of stuff made with mayo and a huge bowl of SHRIMP! Salmonella city - ACK!!! So I asked my friend why none of was on ice and she said her mom wouldn't let her put anything on ice, even though she had bowls and platters and several bags of ice to do so. So I said that I would do it and proceeded to do so. Her mom came up and said to me, "You're not touching my shrimp!!!!!!!!!" So I told her I was just putting some ice under it so noone would get food poisoning. She went off in a huff and we ended up putting several things on ice. Even so, many things got warm, melty, and soggy and had to be pitched at the end of the party.

Fast forward to Monday. The open house was on Saturday. My friend told me that her mom basically stopped talking to her and holed up in her room or just completely ignored her. So she went ahead and turned on her AC because she couldn't take the heat any longer. So her mom comes out wearing two layers of clothes and continues stomping around and not speaking to her while my friend continued to try to be pleasant to her mom. Her mom's flight was scheduled for Wednesday morning.

My friend called me at work Tuesday night and told me that when she got home from work, her mom had left her a note saying she had gone back to Florida :scared1: UNBELIEVABLE! She had put her suitcase in the car when my friend's daughter was in the shower, then suggested that they go to a movie. After that, she told her granddaughter to take her to the airport and that was that. Now, my friend's daughter was at her dad's Tuesday night, so she wasn't home to let my friend know what had happened until late that night, so it took a while before she found out what had transpired.

So, Marita, it's not just kids who can be rude to their parents. As far as my friend can figure out, this was all due to running the AC and icing down some food to keep guests from getting sick against her mom's wishes :confused3

People sure can get a bug up their butts for the weirdest things ::yes:: She still hasn't heard a word from her mom, but she's going to mail her a thank you note anyway for helping her out. She's kind of waiting to hear from her brother, figuring her mom will vent to him eventually.

Sheesh! I thank my lucky stars that my mother was never like that :goodvibes

I love when women get Bugs up their Butts! She sounds like someone I'd enjoy sickly messing with.

Glad you're "back" Moo!

Last day of VBS today. It's an island theme and they play this song EVERY DAY! Who remembers?

Here's a gross little story from yesterdee....not to be confused with yesterpage. I had the first graders do an activity that involved tracing. I took up the patterns after they finished and proceeded to pray for the missionaries we learned about. During the prayer, I moved my hand and felt something wet/slimy. I lost my thoughts and hesitated for a minute but managed to finish the prayer. When they got up to leave, I looked down and sure enough....a big green booger wiped across the back of the pattern. You're welcome.

Wendee....Whatcha been up to? Are you busy trying to sell your house while taking care of lotsa rugrats or sumpn?
I'm WAY too young to even KNOW about Hawaii Five-oh :rolleyes1 OR to remember acting like we were surfing on the sofa every time that theme song played...

Thanks for the booger story!

And for taking us along with you on your VBS fun! I miss those days!

Remember THIS? (it will be in all your heads all day...)

No, I love it when you post squinty eyed, looks like I havent slept in weeks pictures of me for the entire world to see. At least the Michael Buble shirt is cute.
NICE shirt!
You look bee-utyful! Both of yous! I'm not just saying that to kiss up, either.

I fly out in a little over an hour then arrive in Nashville around 1ish. By the time I get my baggage and car and drive to breadman's, it'll be around 3 I think.
Then I get to spend a few hours with him until he goes to bed. :cloud9:

I'm going to Clarksville on Monday.
Too bad the last train already left. :rotfl:

Bow chicka bow wow...

Clarksville! Deja vu all over again.

Hi.

I am so flabergasted.

I really upset another diser and I can't understand why.

I'd never use the snark I use around here. And I'm not that snarky like some people over here I know.:rolleyes1 Not saying any names. I've had enough of being chewed out for one day thank you very much. Especially with a swap where people are giving me their personal information.

I am just really upset over this. I am a nice person by nature and this person just totally flustered me today.:headache: Maybe I need a lawyer?

Hi Wendy. It's good to see you around.

Lexy: EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Cel: Once again I am singing Monkee songs. Cool!:cool2:

Hi Wheatie! How's it going in lawyerville? They treating you good over there. Hope you get to see some green today.Of the boogieless variety.

Sup LG?

Hey G Man?

Itchy and scratchy, is the squabble over? Did they kiss and make up?

Moo: Yea for power, internet and phone and scrabble moves! And your friend's mother is just unbelievable.

Nab: Can you give me an update on Days? I've missed like the last month.

Who posted that drinking game? I'm admitting to playing many games like that in my hey day. BH? DTD? One of y'all did.

Marita: At least she has a cell phone right? Could I suggest giving her a necklace with a GPS attached somewhere?

Hey Twinks? You out there?

How is the eye today Pumba?

Sup Mo?

Don't sweat the thin-skinned DISer, whoever it is. Over here on this thread, WE know how nice you are. If that person is having a bad day, or whatever, don't let him/her ruin yours too.....you've had enough carp to deal with lately. So there.

Hey Twinks? You out there?

Hello!!! VBS is over and so is my career as a Pirate Scientist. pirate: :3dglasses

I have read everything but I am too 'zausted to have any witty commentary or dreck and drivel. Everyone is overtired and overstimulated. We all need naps but I am babysitting for a friend this afternoon.

I have to admit that I am guility of the worst parenting mistake..... more vile than even Juice Boxes...... The dreaded Pull Ups. I agree, pull ups are just expensive, less absorbant diapers but I use them. Also my children are all stubborn little darlings who don't have accidents for others but do at home..... :worried: sigh. With the pull up it is easier to accomodate their need to use every public bathroom while ignoring the facilities at home.

Have been in the basement for hours and feel like I haven't accomplished anything, how can that be.

Nicholas last church dance is tonight, it is pretty humid to dance I would think. They are calling for storms but haven't seen any yet.

Kids made cute Father's day presents at school.
Nicholas made a shark picture frame with his picture in it and Hannah did a poem and card.

Even though he is not my father I took the kids out for a present. They bought him new pajama pants, Hannah picked them out they are blue with blue playboy bunnies on them....:lmao: Nicholas wanted the AC/DC ones to replace the one he already has that they bought a few Christmas's ago. And a Best Father in the World shirt to wear with them.

Hound--Still have not had a Dole Whip, either it wasn't open yet or I wasn't hungry when we passed it. They look darn good though and I love pineapple.

Lexi -- how did your last day go?

Celery -- did you get your scone? Are you at Breadman's yet...

/
Mony-- You are a nice person.... There are some people out on the CB I just shake my head at... Days in a nut shell, Ava and John are dating but Marlena has just came back, Max is acting really crazy something to do with the Dean or professor whatever he is and Max being smarter then Nick:confused3 Lucas snuck out of the Mansion I think he started the fire of John's shipment. Nicole is going after E.J. Kate is sick doesn't want Daniel operating... is the latest.:confused3

Twinkie-- are you getting bad weather? You sound exhausted...

Never had to use pull ups but did have to use Goodnights for years. I was really thankful for those.

No, I love it when you post squinty eyed, looks like I havent slept in weeks pictures of me for the entire world to see. At least the Michael Buble shirt is cute.

p.s Consider youself killed. with a plastic knife even.
Do you really want to tell me that? You know I have endless pictures of you, right?
3.gif
(with Stitch hands, even ;) )

I would like to see you try. :snooty:

That is the best story EVER!
I'd like to add: or fell into an open toilet at 2AM...

AND, do not take your witty banter elsewhere. I WILL beg if need be. ::yes::
I rather liked it myself. Except I'd like to skip the camping part. I don't camp. Do you think that can be arranged?

Alright, since you asked so nicely, my witty banter will stay right here. Consider yourselves blessed.

I'd never use the snark I use around here. And I'm not that snarky like some people over here I know.:rolleyes1 Not saying any names.
Snark? On this thread? Get out!! Surely I am not responsible for any of that. :rolleyes1 You should really just stay right here where it's safe. It's scary out there!

I took an interesting tour de Orlando of sorts today. Tomorrow morning (at 7am, mind you) I have to take another praxis test. I took one in the spring. Well, when I took it in the spring I didn't know where I was going to teach yet so I just took the Ohio tests. Long story short, now I have to take the Kentucky tests. That will be 4 hours of standardized testing tomorrow morning. Allow me to express my joy.   Today I drove to the place where the test is for a dry run. I have a knack for getting lost and I just wanted to make sure I knew where it was.

I also learned something else today....you can't use a public library unless you have an ID with the county in which the library is located listed on the ID. I had to print an admission ticket for the test and Hollywood doesn't have a printer. So, I found the nearest public library where I was told I couldn't print anything without getting a library card. Sign me up, I said. But then when I showed them my Ohio license they turned me down. I went back and forth with the woman for about 10 minutes before I wore her down and she just let me print the darn thing without a library card.

Okay. Hope everyone had a lovely day. More errands to run!

Coming by for a Mooer check-

Hello out there, I am praying and thinking goog thoughts about ya'll effected by the horrible weather hitting the midwest. Tornadoes, rain, flooding, fires... We're high and dry, but I'm concerned about babynurse since she's south of me where there's so much flooding.

BackStage Gal, I wish I could tranport all this rain water we're accumulating.

Keep safe and dry :grouphug:

Yes, you have to wait if you want to still fit in your skinny jeans on the first day at DL.

UGH, I'd love to tour Europe some day! (Besides World Showcase)

I've been to Tijuana Mexico and Victoria Canadia and North DakoHta, do those count as foreign travel?

Two out of three count..... but I thought the ND one is extra terestial....:lmao: out of this world :rotfl:

1. Someone is surely mistaken. I have nevah witnessed snark on this thread. Of any sort. Evah. :snooty:

2. Heh. This made me laugh because whenever I have to go somewhere unfamiliar, I do a dry run. My DH and my brother make fun of me for it. But I hate to be driving and not know where I'm going. It makes me nervous. Shocking, I know. ;)

Peej: you have my luck. But it was on your side.

I know I am nice. Thanks for the reassurance.

I'm so incredibly stinking nice, right?

what ever it takes.

Have a nice night.

Mickey and I had a mini dis meet tonight at Beef Obrady's ...we had hot wings and beer and a good laugh at last nights NBA comeback win of the season....Im trying to get these guys to sign up for ESPN Zone MVP Card and Disney VISA CC to help save money on the trip. Its like talking to a brick wall....lol

Evening, Moovers!

Too tired for comments tonight.

I just looked at what is on TV tonght, and Dr. G, Medical Examner is on at 9.

PJ, goog luck with the test tomorrow.

Went to an all you can eat pizza place for lunch today with the office grioup and ate way too much. Got home and DH made a frozen pizza for dinner!

In other news....My DSIL who is going on the September trip with me had an interview for a new teaching job yesterday. She asked me how far in advance we'd need to cancel if she got the job. :worried:

My dear friend called yesterday afternoon and said "I'm alone in my house!" I said "I'll be right over!" So good to finally get to talk with her alone after the crowds that have been over there for weeks. Emily even came over and painted our toenails for us! :) It was nice.

Moo
....It's so sad to me when we grow up and realize how immature our parents really are. Your friend's mom sounds like she's 14 instead of 70ish.
Lex - Hope you have a back-up person to join you at WDW in September if your SIL bails

Yay for getting together with your friend and for DDs who are willing to pamper their mamas once in a while :goodvibes

And AMEN on your description of my friend's mother ::yes::

I think my third clique is dead too. It was the offensive one. Just a bunch of people posting about how everyone else is mean and offends them. It was fun. Babycow even posted there some.

You guys should have left some of the shrimp NOT on ice and made her eat only that. :rotfl:

I'm going to Clarksville on Monday.
Too bad the last train already left. :rotfl:
Sorry to hear about your other clique thread. I tried to find Bonnie's Chatters thread and she said they were posting elsewhere now :sad1:

Too bad I didn't think about doing that with the shrimp!!!!!!! Come to think of it, I don't recall my friend's mom eating anything during the open house :confused3

Clarksville??!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ISEV3evXwc

Moo-- That is one weird mom. I am glad I am blessed with a great mom and MIL.
Glad you're finally out of the basement, Nabbie!

You have met my friend whose mom I mentioned :rolleyes1

I love when women get Bugs up their Butts! She sounds like someone I'd enjoy sickly messing with.

Glad you're "back" Moo!

Remember THIS? (it will be in all your heads all day...)

The Lord said to Noah
there's gonna be a floody floody
TY, Wendy, it's goog to be back!!!!!! DH just figured ou and fixed the cable problem.

I toadily remember singing that song. And it sure has been feeling floody, floody lately around here! :faint:
I am so flabergasted.

Sorry to hear people elsewhere on the Dis are being such a pain lately

Hope things have settled down a bit at your house this evening and your weekend goes better. Thanks for the welcome back and commiseration on my friend's mom issues.
