Guess who the winner is?

I went to Chevron and got a big old drink! :rolleyes1 ACK!

Atta girl, sistah! Don't you feel better now? Embrace the hooch! ::yes::

(1. got an email from the other class, for end of year party - they are doing a carnival afterschool $8 per kid... AND the leftovers will go to the kids on FRIDAY - PLUS an $80 gift certificate for their teacher (who is just a student teacher that got to take over for the teachers maternnity leave!) EIGHTY DOLLARS?? I've got the money, we collected $50 for 3 parties, and $25 went to that other room mom for their "Valentine/ Baby Shower favors!!) and the rest went to the party stuff!! I did go and buy some nice stuff from Bath and Body Works ($25) to put together a basket from the whole class - no way am I shelling out a $80 gift certificate! Great, the teacher already knows "I HATE HER" (um yeah, whatever...)

Ugh, Sandy! My wallet is bleeding cash too! Boris' teacher is getting married in August, so "the class" is throwing a surprise bridal shower for her on Thursday at lunchtime. That was $50. Plus, I have begun to assemble end-of-year gifts for both kids' teachers and their bus driver. That's another $100-ish. And I had to register Boris for soccer tonight so that he can go to tryouts tomorrow. Since it's a 2-season registration, that was another $150! This week is a killer!

As for the other stuff, I have no advice, but it sure couldn't hurt to talk to your doctor.

Again with the tone?! :confused3

Doesn't everyone have assorted reading material in the water closet?

Yes! Right now, our book is DUH! Our Stupid World and Welcome to It. It's a collection of amusing trivia and bizarre factoids. Funny stuff!

Goog evening :wave2:

They have internet in the hospital.

He's having his contrast CT scan done. I'm just keeping busy.

Thanks so much for the prayers. I am truely blessed.

There is a definite mass that will have to be operated on.

They are just trying to figure out the what's hows and whens.

They believe he'll have it done in a few days and they will keep him here until then. I just he gets a real room soon.
Mony - Another thanks for the update from me. Hope Tim is in a room by now. My cousin's husband recently had a kidney tumor removed and he is doing just fine now, so keep the faith!!!

Sorry about the Wings' loss. We had a lot of people at work who were unhappy about that today.

Nab BTDT with a Hockey game on TV when our boys were younger - so I imagine most ALL the schools in Canada had late kids today!! :rotfl2: (and Michigan!! and maybe parts of PA)

HI MOO!!! I'll join ya!! ;)

I'm tired, and I'm having some "issues"... maybe its just a panic attack...
Sandy - Sooooo sorry you are feeling wuckety  Sounds like you need to get to the doctor's office to get things checked. AND in the meantime maybe do a few things to try to pamper yourself and de-stress.

Yep, there were plenty of bleary eyed people in my office. I actually saw the tail end of the game, but it was mainly because I've been having trouble sleeping lately.

The noive of those yearbook people to leave your DD out!!!!!

Don't you have a Disney trip coming up soonish? I'll keep you posted if I can't find anyone to join me in December!

Cel!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about your fall. You said you were clumsy while we were at Disney, but I never saw much evidence of it ;)

Lynette! ACK! on going to Disney during the summer!!! WAY too hot. But I understand how it is with kids' schedules. Maybe you can go soonish before it gets toadily unbearable.

Nabbie - Another field trip?! w00t!

Hope Nicholas can get caught up on his sleep tonight.

Wendy - Yay on the better job situation for your hubby :yay:

Sandy, hang in there. Maybe you do need to get your hormones checked out like Wendy said. or just get a subscription for something. It sucks big time to be depressed (been there, done that! I know)

I vote for a select group of :surfweb: friends :dance3: and some Long Island Ice Teas:rolleyes1 in someplace Disney

moo - I walk straight when I'm tipsy, I swear! :rotfl2:
I know you do!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

But you do enjoy making up songs :rolleyes1

Thar's a teeear in mah beeeeer!!!!!!!!!!

Cel - I think the woman in turquoise is the one that we interacted with - her voice sounds the same, but she's wearing a different outfit:

She was wearing THE coolest hat that looked like it was made of features, but it was actually cloth. Wish I'd taken her picture.

Hello Moovers. Semi-big storm in the KC area tonight. Tornado WATCH too. None of the above is a big deal EXCEPT lightning struck a 2.4 MILLION gallon gasoline storage tank at a petroleum plant in Kansas City, KS and the firefighters have decided just to let it burn -- over $9 miilion in gasoline up in flames and smoke.

Hi Nabbie,

Thanks for posting that reminder, about to turn it on too!

Yay to another field trip!

HELL's Kitchen was AWESOME!! :rotfl2: well, not really, I loved THE MOLE so much better - I was on tvclubhouse.com, survivors**ks.com, and fansofreality.com talking about all those MOLE clues!! :cool1: and of course the Bachelorette was on, but I'm losing interest in that one - tonight is dead island - Alaska is on...

Marita I find myself living vicarously thru you - so please enjoy Friday for me!! ;)

Sounds GREAT to me!!

Thanks everyone for the + + + + vibes and thoughts - my doctor wasnt any help - dh wants me to try a new one - but even WITH insurance, you still have to have a deductible, and a % - I'm just not feeling starting over - like the rest of the world - I WANT INSTANT gratification :rotfl2: If I could get dh alone, maybe that would help :rotfl2: poor man - he is working too many hours, and now the 20 year old is home!! :rotfl2:

School goes till next MONDAY (its only one hour!)

Moo we do have a trip planned for Oct - not sure how dh is managing that, but he's one determined man!!

Uma you dont even want to know the reading material in our rooms!! :rotfl2: DD bathroom has a bin of cute type picture books (and yes, we all enjoy using that reading material!! ) OURS? :rotfl2: It has some books, mainly mountain climbing stuff!! computer geeky stuff :rotfl2:
:confused3

DH brought home his computer and he's taken a nap, so I'm too chatty right now!! Soonish, he'll get up, and I'll have to give up the puter!! Must run around now!! (internet wise!!)

great Rob, I feel our gas prices rising as you post!

WOW!!

I am starting to get really worried that we are going to run into bad weather for our drive up to KC late Thursday afernoon.

I'm crossing all appendages and limbs, even.

Steph -- right now the forecasters are saying strong to severe EVENING thunderstorms on Thursday. Hopefully you'll beat them to KC. What time is your flight out?

Oh great, Rob, What Sandy said, I feel the gas prices going up too!

What is it with men and their fascination with fire? :confused3

Okay, Scrabble-ettes, it's your turn(s)!

Wow, Rob, a new ticker? Want to tell us all about it? popcorn::
Hmmm, I could except it involves me celebrating a major birthday milestone where the age is divisible by 10 and I don't want to admit that I am getting that old yet. :)

Actually, it's just a small trip -- just me and a couple of buddies for about 72 hours but it's my first non-business trip without DW since I've been married and without the kids since they've been born. So, uh, as much as I love my family, I'm kind of looking forward to getting away from these people for a few days!

I haven't been to Vegas in 13 years. I hear it's changed just a bit. :upsidedow

The only kind of fire I like is in the fire place or a camp fire  with someone very special:love:

This may be due to over that past 30 years Ive lost everything I had to house fires... twice :furious:

Our flight out is at 6:40am on Friday. We are 3-4 hours away from KC, but I cannot leave until about 3-4pm on Thursday. That puts us on the Interstate from 4-9pmish, in the most likely path of the storms as they form. The only alternative is to wait and leave closer to 10pm or midnight and drive straight to the ariport. I really didn't want to do that. I wanted to get some sleep before we arrive in Orlando.

Now THERE'S a man after my own heart!

Yikes, Hound! That is one of my biggest fears!
