Listen snarkbRitches (clarifying that for celery). The circus thing didnt work out, got it? The clowns were creepy, the lion tamer kept trying to show off his "whip", and when the bearded lady asked for assistance with a shave, I hightailed it outta there like Bambi on opening day of gun season.

I hate to say I told you so. BUT. I told you so. Maybe you should look into another career..... like attending a parking lot. That seems to provide lots of personal fufillment.

Ack. Too late. I will do better today.

I KNOW! We should all hit my house link repetitively for a little joke on my realtor, and DH who would get his hopes up.

I hate to burst your buble/bubble but I have had as low as 20 minutes. And once someone accidently locked the screen door so after doing the crazy last minute cleaning (remember I had 3 small children, one teen and I was 5 mo pregnant ) and loading everyone up and heading to "donal's" no one even saw the house. Of course DH was at work. I really hope I don't have to moove anytime soon. I like new places but selling a house gives me gray hair.

Bloodhound- I am glad DTD brought you here! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.

Moo- Good to see you lady!

I know I wanted to say more but I need to go start my day. Sweaters, chores, etc. etc.

Twinkiemama: Bloodhound- I am glad DTD brought you here! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.

Your very welcome....everyone has be so nice and welcoming me into this herd.

I KNOW! We should all hit my house link repetitively for a little joke on my realtor, and DH who would get his hopes up. The house a few down from ours, that is almost exactly the same, has been on the market nearly 7 months. That house will sell ours since it's $30,000 more (finished basement but ours has a 3rd car garage and a bigger lot)

I just recently found out you were moving. I hope everything goes smoothly both at your present home (hope it sells soon) and at the new place. This is going to be quite a change from Utah. I'd like to hear more about your plans but hate to make you repeat everything that you've already explained on this thread when I was AWOL. ;)

Kay-- you sure were raked though the coals over on that thread. I thought a lot was really not called for.

Went to Hannah's Celebration this morning, they got their rosaries blessed and the school gave them prayer cards and a beautiful pouch to put there hand made rosary in. And they fed them cake and juice and sent them back to class.

Moo --glad your getting better. Are you sending me all this rain....

I'm off to the breadman's!
See y'all on Monday or Tuesday!
I'll be traveling the next two weeks so I probably won't be online much during the day.

I commented, Kay!

Yeash! I read ALL of it, and you handled yourself well.

I'd really like to hear LilG's wisdom on this.

Kay, my Sis, I didn't read all of it but the first and last 2 pages.

Dang, what a debate!

Wendy, nice post to cut this off :thumbsup2

Kay you can ask to have it closed if you want......just click on it and the mod on tonight .....if we can find one would close it for you....

Today the hospital called up for info for Monday and my pre-op info thingie and testing ......so all of a sudden I am thinking YUP this is it.....and even though I am nervous I know that this is the only way I can have peace and see far as well as close up.....

today it is a warm day with a windy chill....does that make sense.......we had our first crop of rhubarb and gave it away......maybe I will be a good wife and make a strawberry rhubarb pie for hubby.......YUCK.......but I would do it for him.....

Hey Bloodhound, you owe me money!
I booked our flights and rental car for the Disneyland trip. Airfare, $198 + fees, ends up about $250. Got a full size rental car(Ford Taurus or similar) for $139 for a week, taxes and everything included. Got the car from Hertz through Hotwire and we're flying Frontier(anybody know anything about them?) that I got through CheapAir.com. Now all we need are our hotels and we are set. We're coming back on Thursday instead of Friday. All the goog flights prices are only goog through the 30th. We're getting Citypass tix for $217 I think, so we should be in great shape. HOw's your plans coming along, Wendy? Think you'll be traveling from Memphis or SLC? BTW the most redneck town in KY(Morgantown) has a LDS church.
I had to do something positive today, work was awful. It was FRYday, but there wasn't enough oil, so I had to fry on the stove, not a safe thing to do. Then, when I went to dispose of the grease, they had put a construction fence up and the grease barrel was behind it. They've knocked lots of walls down, and a dog got into the area and could have just wondered into the kitchen. I hope I get that other job. I hope I get that other job. I hope I get that other job.
Note to stalkers- Bloodhound looks like every soldier's grandpa. Easy to spot. Most of the retired military looks more like me.

My dad does some antiquing and "collectableing".

Attention, Twink! Apparently, collectableing is now a verb. Please add it to the Official Thread Dictionary. Thank you.

What's going on, MOOvers? I had a pretty good day today, including a nice, relaxing pedicure after breakfast with my mom. Feeling pretty chill tonight.

Pumba-- I haven't checked our rhubarb yet. Hubby loves rhubarb pie too but he hates when the stores and restraurants put strawberry with it. I remember just taking a stick and put it in the sugar bowl.

UMA-- good job on Kay's thread.

Marita--Glad your son is sending you pictures of his journey. Like Twinkie said we have been on his journey with you.

Donald -- I am glad is BloodHound who owes you money.....:lmao: And I hope you get the other job too!!::yes::

Pumba, I have to have the glaucoma surgery too. The doc and several people and even my mom (who had it at age 89 or later) said it's no big deal. I got my new glasses and I cant see a dang thing with them on the computer. So I think I will get is sooner rather than later. The dr. even said some people beg for it cause the A) love the medication (I imagine something like the laughing gas at the dentist) and B) love the way they see better from the new eye.

DTD, yay on firming up the trip!!!!!

I had my short day at work today, I left after lunch at 1:30, but I need to to make it up this weekend. Busiest period iof the year starts NOW! I had a bowl of black bean soup at group lunch outing today that was just kind of BLAH! Now I have to figure out something for dinner.

Where is that scratching chin smiley when you need it? What to eat???

Hey, BigL and Nabbie, you snuck in while I posted.

My mom used to make rubarb when I was a kid. I dont remember ever seeing it here in the states. Should I look for it? Do they even sell it? I loved it!

Of course I would have to ask mom how to make it, cause I have no clue!

OK, since you are on DS's journey with me, the latest news is this, from yesterday:

Shooting practice: Target is heavy outline for practice = DS qualified for "Expert"
The round that counted, Target outllined in pencil, and he couldn't see it and had t guess, but he qualified.

Oh. Moo, abut the post from yesterday, I dont think they had to carry two guys per person, just that two other guys had to pick them up. I dont even think you could carry 2 people.

I would think they sell rhubarb in stores Marita. We have farms here that sell it as well when strawberry picking starts.

Hey yourself, Marita!

Rhubarb should be pretty easy to find. Our local stores have fresh rhubarb available now. My mom has a much-loved recipe for rhubarb shortcake with a butterscotch sauce. Heavenly! The sweetness of the butterscotch is a nice contrast to the tartness of the rhubarb. If you end up buying rhubarb and want the recipe, let me know. ;)

I can certainly understand why you're so angst-ridden about your DS. Such pressure! But look how many people he has cheering and praying for his success!

Thanks, Lynette!

Care to share the recipe? I might have to cook some up :stir:

Thanks, Lynette!
