GOOG MORNING! :wave2:

Woke up earlyish this morning. I'm hoping Mimi will call when they get to NYC.

I dropped her off at school yesterday. A parent had to be present while a chaperon did the bag search. And as soon as she got on the bus, I high tailed it outta there. All the parents were standing around looking longingly at the bus. I guess they've never put their child on a plane to Paris....alone. Heh.

Sandy!!!!! We missed you! Glad to know all is well. Not going to do a free dining trip again? We'll be there the same week as last year!

PJ! How exciting! Montessori schools everywhere will be throwing the job offers your way! It's scary to think that you could've done even better if you were well.

Marita....Pumba's right. You must eat! I thought we talked about this. Get one of those panini's out of the freezer! (I hate DVC.)

NAB....OH NO! Is the jury duty pool for all states/provinces filled through this thread? Srsly....how many of us have had jury duty in the last year?

Wendee....A $5/day hooch habit is serious! Is that a case/day? How much sodium is that? Anyway....buy distilled water in the gallon containers and drink one per day. That should be cheaper!

Moo....I don't know much about marathons, but your friend seems to have done very well considering his age. OT ALERT: One of my girlfriends ran the Chicago Marathon 2 years ago. She felt a little sluggish after she got home, went to the doctor....aortic aneurysm! I KNOW! (They usually just discover that in the autopsy.) Long story short....she had open heart surgery and I saw her at the grocery store last week with a 6 carat diamond on her hand.....she's marrying her surgeon!

Lynette....Hope Natasha is better today! At least she made it to the bathroom! Bonus!

Celery...Good luck on the job interview! I'm gonna google the Super Wal*Mart in Orlando. Would it be cheaper for us to just take cabs? Have you rented a car before?

Twinkie....Keep it long while Grasshopper is little....especially if you have good hair. And obviously you do if you are getting compliments on it. The problem with short hair is you have to *fix* it. You can't just pull it back in a ponytail when you're in a hurry. But get it trimmed, wouldja?

Poly.....is famous? :confused3

Rob
....Did you get some sleep? And eat something! Sheesh! I never, ever, never miss lunch.

Everybody else.......:wave2:

EVERYBODY HAVE A WONDERFUL TUESDAY!

I've been up since 4:30. Couldn't sleep cuz I'm excited about my interview! Woo! But no one posted cept for Lex!
Of course.
Morning Lex!
That's cool about your friend with the huge diamond. hee.

Renting a car - I've never done it in Orlando. It sounds like to me you're not going to be happy unless you do - so see if you can get a deal.
Cabs are expensive, but fun cuz you don't have to think. Or walk very far.

twinks - I like Melinda's advice about your hair. Makes sense.

So, as a thread, are we for open borders? Cuz I take issue with that stance, despite my geographical location here in the bluest of blue states. Just saying. ;)

Hang on, I'm getting out the soap box.

1. SLUURP!!!!
p.s. Carrie Underwood, duh. At least give me a challenge.

2. I also got a Recognition of Excellence certificate for scoring in the top 5%.
dip, roll, and enjoy. and might I just add that you are goofy...

2. :woohoo: You would think someone with all that book learnin' would have some street smarts and/or common sense too....but you would be wrong.:rolleyes1

Friday at the Panera in NotReallyNashvilleJustSouthABit!
Be there or be square!
or chicken
bwak

wow. That's twice today you people have called me a chicken. Dont y'all know, I'll do anything once.:snooty:

Good luck today!!! p.s. I'm going to leave you something on the change thread. go look!

REPORT FOR JURY DUTY NEXT MONDAY!! :scared1: They said it I was selected for an emergency panelist, what ever that means :confused3 Does that mean it will only be that day, can I still get out of it. Who will send my kids to school if I have to leave here at 8:00? And have to be here when they get home at 3:30....

ACK! I hope it all works out Nab!!

I ran away from work today. Seriously, the stress was killing me, so I left work at 1:30 and haven't even checked email since then. Haven't eaten today either, which is not goog!

Marita EliSabeth. Sorry about your bad day. You need to eat! You'll waste away to nothing. I hope today is better for you.

Me too! (FWIW)

Nothing

Hi to everyone else :goodvibes Sorry for no personal shoutouts

Whaaaaat?!? I'm offended!;)

I did it! :cool1: Sheesh, I guess I'm easily amused, huh?

heh heh

GOOG MORNING! :wave2:

Woke up earlyish this morning. I'm hoping Mimi will call when they get to NYC.

Did you hear from her? How's NYC? That must be great fun.

I just called Mimi and they have arrived in NYC!

She estimates she slept approx. two hours on the bus but she has had a coffee and a Red Bull so she's good to go!

They are in Manhattan but still on the bus and headed to breakfast.

Today's agenda:

Ground Zero
Statue of Liberty
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Dinner/dance cruise

Twinks: Leave it long for now. My BFF and I are going tomorrow to get our hair done. Wanna come?

PJ: Great job on your academic achievements

Lynt: I may have to give up my scrabble goddess title

Lexy: No trivia link. I have to go back and look for one!:scared1:

Sandy: How about Land and Sea? There are tours that younger kids can do?
Illuminations cruise? Cirque tickets? The Friday and Saturday after Labor Day bring the popular Nights of Joy to Magic Kingdom to celebrate contemporary Christian misic?

Cel: A girls only weekend with you sounds dangerous:cool2:
Good luck and Pixie Dust on your interview.

Here's to a BEURK free day! I'm using my free pass. I have extra Lynette.

Ahhh, to be young again.

mony - I'm a good girl! I swear!!!

I need to go see what Babycow left for me then head to work.

Celery....I hear ya on the no sleep! I'd be droopy by lunch time. I think they try to keep them all tired so they can't cause any trouble! :)

I'm off to get a sweater.(TMcelery)

i got caught!

Baby arrived with soaked full over-night diaper today, again. I gently suggested he (the baby-daddy) change her before bringing her because sometimes I don't get to it right away. Then I smacked him on the head v-8 style (in my mind).

Sandy- seriously, never go MIA again! You were really missed. I thought we (I) ticked you off. I'm thrilled you're back!

Celery- good girl? Define "good".

Marita- no meal skipping. I just want to hold you down and force feed you pastries....that's a compliment.

RobIn- I'll force feed you burgers. :rotfl2: DANG, burgers sound good.

Everyone- Goot Mornink!!!!

Sorry Uma - I'd've (hey now what kind of contraction is that word?? LOL) called, but I dont have your number!!

school computer is not supposed to allow me to use "social networking sites" they've been blocked - some of mine are here, today I got in!! Then the darn classroom teacher (5th grade) came in - I turned shades of red - my school account could be deleted -

I'm sorry - I've been lonely w/o a computer fix!! I talk on email - no one emails tho - fdil does - so I"ve been working on the wedding!

WDW - we didnt do bounceback - dh was tempted I told him NO! he's been working on me every since..

dagnabit the fire alram went off!

they just announced it was the a/c that set off the fire alarm, not to leave the building -

Almost time for the interview! :cool1:

I'm trying to convince my friend at work Pat to go with me to disney.
she's about the same age as Moo and she needs a vacation badly. I think it'd be fun, but she's not convinced yet.

I went ahead and got an upgrade for most of our stay, so if Pat decides not to come, Moo and I will have PLENTY of space.

utah - good means not getting arrested.

1. Hang on, I'm getting out the soap box.

2. Dont y'all know, I'll do anything once.:snooty:

1. That post was for you, Ted. See how good I am to you?

2. That's what we've ALL heard! :scared:

1. Lynt: I may have to give up my scrabble goddess title

2. Here's to a BEURK free day! I'm using my free pass. I have extra Lynette.

1. Well, you know Wenchy will be along to swoop that title any second now. ;)

2. I'll take one of those, Mo. Thanks for thinking of me.

Actually, Natasha is worlds better today. She woke up and said excitedly, "Mama, I feel 100% better today....can I have breakfast?" When I answered yes, she said, "Oh good! This will be the first meal you've fed me in almost three days!" :sad2: Little creep. She makes it sound like I've had her locked in the attic since the weekend. It's not MY fault she felt wuckety and couldn't eat anything! Jeez! Now watch her go back to school and tell her teacher that she didn't get to eat anything for the first half of her vacation! Somebody send Child Services a letter on my behalf, 'kay????

Yah kids have a way of killing us dont they? I remember when our daughter told the nun that mom and dad conserved energy by taking showers together....I almost dropped when dd told us that.....she was first grade.....

Cel good luck with your interview......you will do great at whatever you decide is best for you....and this is from a person who only sat next to you for 15 minutes and knows you that well.....GOOD LUCK

I have my dates for my eye surgery......both in June....of course I have plenty of time but already YIKES......I know I have to do this cause vision far away is the pits......I can see in the house like the tv without my glasses.....it is like a second vision ....

Nope. One of my 8 games is kicking my :eeyore: I'm obsessively flipping through the "well-used 3rd edition scrabble dictionary" trying to make up words with the pooh: I was dealt.

Ooooh, the stomach flu diet! ;) Glad she's better so she can take care of YOU when you get stricken with the gom-boo.

   SANDY!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad to see you 'round these parts again. I have reported that you were having computer problems and no feelings had been hurt. ;) Uh, you know my number AND my email missy! I will respond.:surfweb: Although, the cell phone isn't working too well since it's encounter with the potty Saturday. :scared: (check the 40's thread to know all the sordid details of that. ;) )

Melinda - Ooooohhhhh I wish I was there with Mimi! I LOVE NYC!!!! :yay:

Interview went well. I needed a few hours to process. I had visions of them offering the job to me today, so when that didn't happen and I was told there would be ANOTHER interview round, I got a bit mopey.
Anyway, I think it looks promising. I definitely have the medical experience they need and some of the management experience, but I've only managed a team of 8 - not 30!!!!
we'll see.
I'm ready to go NOW though!

I have my homework for the day done, so I think I'll work on my Giselle dress when I get home.
Then maybe I'll go over to Lisa's to watch Juno.
The problem is, Lisa's girls don't go to bed until 8 or so, then it's a late night!
and 5 AM comes pretty early!
(no mimi steam despite lack of sleep for me!)

Sandy - don't get caught anymore! use stealth mode! :cool2:

Personal shoutout to EliSabeth!!! Hiya, how was your day?! (Insert penguin tuxlove smiley here!)

I'm at the eye doctor's office waiting for my eye exam and playing on the batphone. I skedaddled out of a training class after it ended and was uncharacteristically early.

Pumba, glad to hear you got your eye surgeriess scheduled! You'll be glad you did once they're behind you (((HUG)))!

Interesting story about your friend, Lex!

Cel! Glad your interview went well!!! Fingers crossed! Cool that you got an upgrade! w00t!

Good!!! I'm happy for you. Oh, I'm not jumping the gun, am I? I don't want to jinx the new job. So, break a leg. Or something. :3dglasses

I JUST now watched Juno. Loved it, but the music is a little too granola and plain yogurt for me.

gads, I'm bored! I should go organize or sort something. :upsidedow
