Hope someone has something good to respond to for 6,000. I still think the Dis messed up, no way I had more posts than you, Nabbie. Especially early on.

NAB, glad to hear that the kitchen is coming along. Thankfully, when we bought our house, the kitchen had just been redone with beautiful cabinets and appliances. The only thing we've had to do in there is replace the kitchen sink. DH was able to do that himself in an afternoon. Good thing too, because after living through the building of our addition (which now houses my mom), I am in NO hurry to do any major renovations anytime soon. That's one of the major reasons why I haven't pushed DH more about finishing our attic.

Well, that and the $$$$!


Marita, as for getting a new bathroom sink, do what I did. I shopped online at HomeDepot.com, selected the one I wanted, had it shipped to the house. When it arrived, DH had no reason NOT to change it out for me. He didn't have to go thru the hassle of going shopping for it, or carrying it home. And I didn't have to listen to him hem and haw about which one to choose. Easy, peasy!

You (or even you AND your kids) can move into our basement (just ignore all those Coke decorations ). DW could use a "wife" to help out around the house and we cook most meals on the outdoor grill from now to October (course it starts getting pretty muggy here in late June / July).

We just finished watching the John Adams series on HBO -- it was wonderfully done, but the last episode was especially sad. Did you know that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on the same day, 50 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed?

We took the puppies for a ride with the top down on the car and they seemed to enjoy it! We stopped over to visit DH's brother's family who will be taking care of the pups while we go to North Carolina next month. They got along well with their two dogs this time, I think they remembered them
While there, we got to see their new DE-luxe pop-up tent camper. It has king-size mattresses in it

Marita.....Is that Goodings in the plaza that's right across the road from the turn in to the DTD hotel area? Right off I-4? We're staying at POR. I really would like to have a rental car. I know my way around the property well enough and we drove everywhere last year. Not sure I can function w/out one. Anyway, it would allow us a trip to the grocery. I guess it'd be cheaper to order Garden Grocer and ride the bus.

Melinda, we mostly did fine without having a car except when we needed cold medicine and you came to my rescue!!!

We had about three times our whole trip where we were cursing the bus system

Well, the addition of a girl to the house would be different, that's true, but your boys would fit right in. We could try it over the summer vacation school break and see how it goes.
