Can I just jump right in? I'm in over my head in reading back. I do seem to have just walked into some sort of smelling situation which is perplexing me. :scared:

BBN...VFR. I hope that says it all. ;)

Sorry Princess! We went "there" again. Just jump in and plug your nose... Unless tire stores are your thing.

Princess? That's a new one. Although I sort of have to wonder why, based on my username. :scratchin
Donning nose plugs.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's the snark factor! :rolleyes1 And I mean that in the nicest way! :)

Cel, are you feeling any better tonight??? I know you probably won't see this until Thursday . . .

Hey everyone!

Sorry, I was drained today, not in a chatty mood.

But I did have a late night convo with my BFF:

BFF:you know i work in medical imaging
Me: right
BFF:we make Positron Emission Tomography systems
also known as PET scanners
ok this happened shortly after i started there
i met this woman who had recently started in some clerical position
we were like in orientation together
so several weeks later i ran into her
how's it going?
she was very disappointed because she had taken this job because she liked animals ...

In other news:
DS got sworn in today with a bunch of enlisted people. Not to be snobby, but he said they didnt even didnt know to dress half way nice for the occasion, and showed up in shorts and beer T-shirts.
Then the Major was called away, and some LT. filled in for the swearing in part, and halfway through remember to say, Oh, please raise your right hand :sad2:
AND he got got called in for yet ANOTHER eye exam at a Lasik clinic, where he said the average age was 85. Not sure why, but he did get sworn in.

The Labor meetings today went well, but of course no decisions made yet, as expected, no decison makers there, Just concurrenence from lines of Business (in know, means n
othng to you) Anyways, It all goes on a priority list. But is was hectic to the last minute, so I was drained tonight.
Hope everyone has a great day!

DTD- Are you still on vacation? do we have a new time for the PodcastOFame?
Wendee- (in my AOL you've got mail voice) You've been spanked. (I don't know why I am laughing I am too chicken to play you.)
Moo- Once again you have given me nothing that I can safely comment upon :rolleyes1
NAB- Yay on the kitchen. We are getting before and after pictures right????
RobIn- word on the street is a cold front is coming to the prairie.... just a head's up City Slicker
Lexy- Good morning sweetie!!!!:surfweb:
Cowgirl- A memorial ride sounds like a grand and fitting thing.

So four hours of sleep is plentee right????? Without going into gory details, Goldenchild is kind of sick. Has been for days. He woke me up at 3 am in need of a major clean up involving a bed, a bathroom, and lysol. Then I couldn't get back to sleep which means I was on hand for a twinkie twin bed wetting incident. It is 4:20 am and even though I have been waging war on the laundry for DAYS the basket is once again full. I am so thankful that I am not having to miss work. That was the most stressfu part of having a "real" job when I had a littlun.

Good Morning Moovers!

Reason: Waaah! No night owls tonight so I guess I'm signing off.
Sorry Moo! It's true. I ate supper at 10:00 last night and then was in bed at 10:30. Of course, then I got up at 3:30ish this morning because I ate a full meal right before bed time and went to bed early.

she was very disappointed because she had taken this job because she liked animals ...

2. Congrats (again) to your DS, Marita!

We've got TVs and newspapers (ok, A newspaper) here in the city.  Cold front is a relative term -- I'll still take highs in the 50s and lows in the low 40s over what we had for what seemed like forever -- even if yesterday in the 70s was quite nice.

Hope Goldenchild gets better soonest!

Reason: I feel sick. Not enough sleep and brownies for breakfast is bad. Just sayin.
1. Unless you were actually in the Vatican. In which case, I hear, texting is frowned upon. :confused3
2. Uh oh. That's not good, Twink. I agree with you on the not enough sleep part but don't know that I do about the brownies. I have done the brownie breakfast before. I forgot to post earlier that I had Wendee's breakfast of champions, Tuesday morning of this week -- cold Pop-Tarts (while I drove to work that morning).

:rotfl: I am laughing at myself btw because we do have TVs and newspapers in addition to the bales of hale and occasional coyote. HOWEVER, I don't get the paper or watch TV (other than disney channel or nick jr to buy some time to DIS and shower in the morning) so I get all my news (and I am not kidding) from either the disboards (happy birthday POPE!) or the church parking lot (cold fronts etc).

As my six year old said last weekend when it SNOWED "I thought we already had 7 more weeks of winter!"

Thanks for the get well wishes.

I would die without my morning paper I think, even here in the internet age.

BTW, I am in the City (capital C) but not in the city (lowercase c). While I'm definitely in a standard suburban subdivision, I drive past horses and cows and bales of hay most days and we have foxes and wild turkeys within a mile and deer -- many, many deer -- even closer (sometimes in our yards).

GOOD AFTERNOON?

Sheesh....a girl's gotta get up pretty early to compete these days.

Twinkie....Hope Golden Child is better today. And I hope you get a nice long nap today. Weren't you a little short on sleep yesterday too.

Rob! Is 4 hours your standard amount of sleep? Honestly, if I don't get 9 hours every night, I'm like the walking dead. I've always been that way and 9 hours has always been the number. (with the possible exception of my college days which are sort of a blur.) We live in town where there are noooo critters of any kind except what the cat drags in. Literally.

Marita...He's sworn in?! It's official?! Congratulations.

Moo, PJ, everybody......:wave2:

IT'S THURSDAY ALREADY! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Not so much anymore, Melinda but not that long ago it was. I swear I used to hardly need sleep until I hit about 35. Now, 6 hours is a pretty good number, 7 is probably my preference. I've just had a lot on my mind lately and sleep doesn't come easily but I'll be back to 7 hours again eventually.

I did NOT go back to bed! That would be kind of loserish to get up just for the purpose of first posting and then head back to bed -- you're not really the first one up if you do that, eh? (no offense to Twinkie if she did go back to bed -- she's not feeling well so that's different)

Hey I thought I was the oldest here!

When you were 35? Hmmm......

No mama needs more than 4 hours of sleep, especially NOW that you can buy Dunkin Donuts coffee in your grocery isle!

And Splenda!

Geesh there were as many pages to catch up on as if it were night.

Baby slept through 2 nights in a row! But Mal was up the last 2 nights. What's up with that? She never does that.

Pumba, BBN, I'm thinking of you guys.

How does an Annual Pass work with the discounts on dining. My mom bought one when she was in disney last week. She may now go with us in December. Wendy?

Monica....did she buy a DDE card??? That would definitely pay for itself in a hurry if she goes with you!

Have a good day my friends....

None of my quotes showed up and now I have to post from memory!:headache:

To everybody that gave hugs on the loss of my friend: Thank you so much. It has been a really difficult couple of weeks here at Sunnybrook lately. The sun has decided to stay firmly hidden behind the clouds I guess, but I know that with God's grace and prayers from family and friends we will get through all of this chaos. The worst thing about our friend dying is that he was only 19. And he really was like one of our family. He stayed at our house while we went to WDW for 10 days and housesat and fed our animals and took care of things. When I would announce at the rodeos, he would come up there and keep me company and we would talk for hours about his plans, his life, and just joke around and stuff. He always made sure I had something to eat or drink and would even take over if I needed to "powder my nose". I could go on, but it is hard to continue without feeling sad, and I want to remember him as the bright, funny, good lookin', compassionate kid that he was. OK. That's all I can say about it, so I hope you guys understand. He is sorely missed. Thanks again for your sweet words.

Marita: May I also say congrats to your son!

DTD: have a nice couple of days off.

Moo: Yep, I've had LASIK done. twice actually. I got pregnant with the redhead after I had the first LASIK done (although was it LASIK or ALK or something then?) anyway, the eye doc said the pregnancy caused my eye sight to change, something about fluid shifts during pregnancy and this occurs in the eye too. ANYWAY, he did the second proceedure for free a few months after I had the baby. Wasn't that sweet? No charge. How many doctors do that? Must be cuz I'm such a nice, wonderful, person. ha.

PJ: VFR does NOT say it all. BCWW does. ddddduh.

dangit, I cant remember all the stuff I was going to say, and then when I started talking about my friend I became totally distracted. HI EVERYBODY! Have a good one.

It's nice to see that they let barely functioning human beings swear in your DS, Marita!!!! :sad2:

Oh well, it's done. :cool2:

Ugh, that was me yesterday, Twink. I put all my kids to bed at 8:30 practically snarling my warnings to STAY in bed and NOT fight. Took a "prescription night time sleep aid" and hit my head on the "pellow" in hopes of some sort of sleep. :cloud9:

I always feel sorry/sad for mamas who work outside the home yet have sick kids. That just sucks for them. So I'm very thankful too. That's some stress I don't want. (yet).

I need 10-12 hours. :snooty:

I get half that. :scared:

Ya, that would be WAY loserish. I'm setting my alarm for 2:00 AM as we speak.

You're asking me? But, but, but, I don't know that answer!
Ok, whew! Melinda hooked you up.

December :cloud9:

When my babies FINALLY sleep through the night, I fear their dead from SIDS and keep checking to see if they're breathing...which wakes them. :sad2:

Which is why I haven't had a good night's sleep for nearly 19 years.
