So, have you cooked him any of his favorite meals yet?

If not, you better get shopping!!!!!

Hope your work is going better, Marita!

Did everyone get their taxes filed? Hope there are no midnight runs to the post office :headache:

Got ours in the Post Office Mail Box this morning.

Giant refund of $172, which is much better than paying $1,800 like we did for years.

Moo, still working on the last part of what I have to do.

We owed a little Federal, so we waited until earlier this week to mail the check. Fortunately it was balanced out by our State refund.

Now, if only the weekend would come a little faster :)

Hope you finish up soon, Marita!

Moo, I gave up on the last thing. I stared at the spreadsheet for 10 minutes with a blank stare. And then I said the heck with it
My brain is fried! It was not a high priority item anyway. Might do it tomorrow before the noon meeting (yeah, right!)

No state taxes here. But thenagain, we make lousy wages. Newspaper keep lobbying for state taxes instead of relying on tourist taxes that are very not dependable.

Bye guys! I should already be in bed. Going on a field trip with DD tomorrow, and we have to load the bus at 5:00 AM. :scared1: I'll be up before Melindee, but won't be posting. :sad2: Already took my shower, so just have to do makeup in the morning. Wish me sanity. Riding on a bus full of 4th graders. :scared: Hopefully they will be tired and will sleep all the way down to our capitol. :cloud9: We won't get home til late either.

Oh, but DH and the kids gave me an early B'day gift. :yay: It is a GPS thingy for my running. Now I don't have to do math in my head while running. :teacher: :lmao:

Don't chat too much tomorrow.

Have fun tomorrow, Allie!

I will be sitting in a meeting attempting to get $300K in labor approved, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

GOOD MORNING!

I mailed Mimi's taxes yesterday. I filed her federal on-line weeks ago but was too cheap to file the state for $10 extra. So I printed/filled out a paper copy which took about 5 minutes. DH and I always file an extension due to the business tax stuff.

Marita....Make the cabbage rolls! You're not off the hook! Here's a  for the swearing in.

Pumba....You'll be just fine. Don't stress!

Rob
....We are part hymnals and part video screens. I prefer hymnals. Of course I know all the songs in the hymnals. It's the ones on the video screens that I don't know. But I listen to K-love in the car so that helps.

Moo....I forgot to say I DID like Stardust! I'm just a sucker for that fantasy/romance/adventure stuff. You were right....the Robert DeNiro character was hilarious!

Allie
....Have fun in the capital....with all the fourth graders. :scared: And, hey....enjoy your 30s while you can! BWAHAHAHA!

Wendee....Yay for no scouts. I don't like to go out to evening activities especially if I have to take other kids along.

DTD, Cel, BNCG, PJ, Twinks, Monica, everybody........:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT WEDNESDAY!

morning everyone.....I guess I should not of read any info on cataract surgery .I googled it......geesh what on earth was wrong with me......I promise I wont stress .....just as long as I am knocked out cold...and he promised me that...My eyes are very sensitive to even have the pressure taken on them........soooo.

today it is sunny and I see some kids waiting for the bus with shorts on....it is supposed to be about 60ish today.....we are definitely having a heat wave...I will go out later and sit in the yard with megara.......she likes to be out back..

have a good day everyone

Marita- swearing in! that is exciting! Good luck on the labor meeting.
Pumba- Yes- google is not always our friend. I am funny about eyes too. I hope it goes easy peasy for you.
Wendy- Score on no scouts! We dropped out of Scouts four children agon Pack meetings in our neck of the woods (back in the day, not here on the prairie) were full of leftover hippies. Kinda surprising.

Gotta love that Lexmelinda. :rotfl: Have a great day GooseGirl- use your superpowers to keep those kids inline. ;)

I am going to be exhausted today. I have already been up for HOURS with little boys.

I've been up too!

Norah woke up at 1:30 screaming that there was a spider on her !!! (Course that was the episode of Brady Bunch we just had seen where they're in Hawaii and Peter has on the Tabu Tiki Amulet and the teranchula (sp?) spider is crawling on him and Greg has to scoot him off and gets a major case of the heebie jeebies)

Anyway, I went into her room to comfort her and when I touched her to pick her up, she felt HOT like she had a fever (or was previously sitting in an oven?).

Oh, GREAT! so I took her temp, it was 101* and gave her childrens Motrin and put her to sleep between DH and I. I could NOT sleep from that point on. Sleeping next to a furnace is not easy. Somehow, when I was sure her fever was taken care of, I ended up in HER bed :confused3

So evidently I slept a little, but I can tell it was not nearly enough.

Twinkie and Melinda-
I DID end up going to Pack Meeting halfway through after my straggler daycare buddy got picked up. Some kid was getting his Arrow of Light so they had cake!!!! No, I didn't.

Pumba- DON'T stress about it!!! Maybe they can give you a valume that day so you wont freak out?

Marita-
good luck with that!

Monica- Ok, sister, I was trying to protect your virtue.

Everyone- Good Morning Sunshines!

your poor baby.......it is hard to sleep with a sick baby..even if they are older...hope she feels better this morning....and I remember that Brady bunch episode....gave me the heebie jeebies too.....

Seems like it was a night for not sleeping but mine was on the front end. I tossed and turned until at least 2 (last time I remember seeing on the alarm clock).

That made me both :sad2: and :rotfl2:

I hope Norah gets better soonest, Wendy.

Ya, I love looking at the alarm and thinking, "Greeeeeat....If I fall asleep NOW, I'll get 4 more hours..." (in my case you can substitute the 4 to a 3. Then the 3 to a 2, etc,). Luckily I had company because DH was worried about his pint sized princess too.

I lose my "funny" when I'm tired. PLUS, I'm swigging a huge, full-caffeine diet Pepsi that I just made DH go get for me at the Chevron station (since we're "out").

1. That was lucky. It is no fun when you're laying in bed unable to sleep and your spouse is sleeping away, especially if the reason you're unable to sleep is because of them (which was not the case for me last night) and then you're all like "how can you lay there and sleep like that!" (uh, not that I have any familiarity with that actually happening).

2. Tsk, tsk. Face one crisis and you're turning to the drink. And so early in the morning too. Guess it could have been worse, you could have made your DH chase you down a fancy coffee drink.

1. Yes I do tend to bore holes through his head with my stink eye when he's sound asleep and I'm not...(from HIS snoring)

2.YUP, dollar for dollar diet hooch is far less money than any fancy iced coffee drinks (that I keep getting!) :sad2:

Thanks Poom! She's totally fine now. I get heebie jeebies with any spider, especially the bigger, hairier varieties.

I'm bored and cranky so I think I'll change my "location".
