Totally off topic of anything.

So DD is leaving for Europe on Friday. So I asked her today if she had an electricity converter thingy (that is the technical term). She said yes.

about 4 years ago I went to Germany and something exploded (well, sparks were flying) when I plugged in my electric hair rollers. Anyway, the electric converter thingy (techical term) no longer worked.

Mom still had my old electric curlers from when I left in 1971, and I used those then and 2 year later, and most likely in September.

A miracle of German engineering, they still work 30+ years later. (of course not using them for a few decades might have helped too).

Had to reload our little freezer when I got home (after 10) and fix myself some dinner.

Nabbie, sorry to hear Nicholas has psoriasis. A friend of mine from school has it and I agree with Cel's Mama that treatment has come a LONG way. Hers is under pretty goog control now.

Marita - Yay for your son passing his test!

Lex - I'm unfortunately very sensitive to a lot of fragranced products . . . so I haven't used scented laundry stuff for years. It's a major pain to have this sensitivity. It can be pretty limiting. And it is a big reason why I have been having issues at work. I finally have an office location that's working out pretty well.

I know I'm missing some things I wanted to comment on, so I'll just settle for saying hi to all! I hope to be able to get back to my games soon, Scrabblers! MAJOR withdrawal!!!

GOOD MORNING!

I think I caught up reading now don't have much time to post.

My sweet friend (who recently lost her son) called me yesterday and said she and her husband were renewing their vows (it was their 25th anniversary) and then having a few neighbors and friends over to celebrate afterward. Well, I'd say about 100 people showed up...all with gifts, food, and drinks. I think everyone was so happy that they had something to celebrate that they dropped what they were doing and came to the party. It was great fun but about 10:30 I gave up to put DS to bed for VBS today.

In other news: Went to the pool yesterday and got fried!

Pumba....Good news that the surgery went well! My big boss had the same surgery yesterday.

Marita....Get the surgery!

Monica....Those day care parents are so mean! Good thing you love the babies. I'd probably lock the door. I don't have the patience. Keep us updated on Tim.

My current method of basing all sports thought on the cuteness of the athlete or niceness of said athlete's buttocks in tight polyester is not working for me conversationally (for some reason).
