Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Just kind of having that letdown feeling lately since the pre-wedding party has been over. I'm sure I'll perk up as we get close to the wedding! Less than three weeks away ...

Great news, Cel!!!

Mony, wishing you luck :)

The sun is out and it is warming up. Good thing when we came home yesterday the temp. was 63 in the house. It is 66 right now. Maybe it is time to get the fannel sheets out or put the heat on but we are stubborn people and say it is too soon. :rotfl2:

Had a great time with family on the weekend even if my brother gave us a scare. Thought he had a stroke turned out to be infection from a wasp sting he got on Friday. He was stubborn too wouldn't go to the hospital unless the swelling in his face got worse. It got so bad and he couldn't talk right then he went. He would have been a goner if it really was a stroke because he went 6 hours later.

I did not realize it was Columbus day yesterday, did you all have the day off too?

Mony-- Love the new picture, you really look good your getting skinny. I am not touching the scale after this weekend.

NAB, in the upper 80'2/low 90's here still. I cant wait for the weather to change. How scary about your brother. People can be so stubborn.

Most people did NOT have Columbus Day off, maybe the govt. employees? Even schools were open.

Nothing to report here, boring............

hello...
ITS COLD..
SUNDAY we went to Settlers Green in NH...the day was chilly but it was so much fun going in and out of the stores...I got a fleece that zips up and it was at Old Navy I think for 11.00...my kind of bargain and then I got a hooded sweatshirt that zips up...and that was 11.00 too...but couldnt find anything else I really wanted...

The area most was shut down because of the holiday..some places were open and some werent..Kaitlynn had the two days off.....Monday and Tuesday as their fall break...she just left at six ...and called to let us know she just got back home..up north..

I pulled a muscle in my back again...(must be old age) and it was killing me...but took some ibuprofen and it feels better...its hell to grow old..

THursday I go to the eye doctor and then friday blood test (at seven am) and then off to the flu shot clinic...figured I had two good years of not getting the flu ..so may as well do it again... nothing worse then getting it I can tell you that...was sick for a week ...

hope you all have a good evening...see ya tomorrow

Wow you can see a difference? Thanks! You just made my day Nab!

Cel???? Great news we want a ring on your fi get too and pictures!

Moo plan a bachelorette party that should lift your spirits some, wink wink.

Today a strange man walked into our classroom he was mentally impaired and we have no idea how he got in. I just can't believe all the stuff that goes on!

Good night!

Federal government employees have Columbus Day off, but not state employees. However, we (state employees) do get Election Day and Veterans Day off next month!!! Plus Thanksgiving ...

So, I'll be back to work one day from the wedding and Hilton Head and will get a day off. w00t!

Mony - Mari had a bachelorette weekend with her girlfriends a few weeks ago, but I'm sure we'll do some celebrating back at the hotel after the rehearsal dinner! We're all staying at the same place :) My sister wanted to do a bachelorette party for Mari the week she was home, but we ended up being too tired to go out the one night we had free. Lame, I know! ;)

Pumba, sounds like some great shopping luck :)

No Columbus day off for us. Only Government employees, I thought schools had off. But since my kids aren't in school I can't be sure. Lol. Chad doesn't get any holidays off, unless he uses PTO and asks for it off. But since he gets so many days off PTO it works out we are still ahead.

And it is sooooooo nasty hot here still. :-(

So sad and a waste. I do not know what is wrong with kids today. Bulling is a terrible thing...social media is not always a good thing there are some mean people out there.

Last night a 13 year old girl killed herself on a path 5 doors down from our house. She went to Nicholas's highschool, she was in grade 9. We did not know who it was until this morning so I do not know how he is taking it right now. He was upset last night knowing someone did that. We knew it was bad when the ambulance went down but never came back up for a long time. Rumours flew it was a stabbing or something else. This family also belongs to our church so if you could keep them in your prayers. :sad1:

yes it is sad when kids have to think their only way out is by ending their life...sad is it..prayers for his family and for the young kids who will be affected by this news...hopefully they will have counseling at the school...

a young gentleman (43) ended his life a few weeks ago by drowning..it is sad no matter what age isn't it..

Just FINALLY had my breakfast...had a fasting blood test..(three vials worth) and then went to the next bld, and got our flu shots, and then across the street for them to download the numbers on my glucose meter...then FINALLY food and my coffee...long morning...started to feel numb from no food...

we are in the midst of trying to find another carrier for our home phone, internet and cable...time warner jumped up to an unreal price...180.00 a month for what...I dont have a clue...and then when we have power outages...the phone goes too...even though we have cell phones we dont use them..we want our phone to be HOUSE PHONE...so we are looking into fairpoint for the three bundle...very cheap so far compared to time warner..they must think we REALLY need them..

have a good day my friends:grouphug:

Hey all!

weird people wandering into kid areas - we had some odd guy at church two weeks in a row. He was hanging out in the 1's and 2's hallway. I tried to take secret pics of him with my cell phone, but I'm such a clutz! :rotfl2:

Anyway, I found out who he is - he's the "friend" of a lady that teaches. She is crazy, but you have to have a background check to work with kids at our church, so I guess she's safe. :scared:
And he doesn't go in the rooms - but it's still weird seeing him in the hallway!
We have pretty strict safety precautions - you can't pick up a child without the matching sticker - and I don't let them go if they don't know you, sticker or not!

suicide - :( :( :(

Wedding - :cheer2:princess::flower3:pixiedust:

You guys are all invited. I'm having it at the swan and they don't care about how many guests I have. :)
11/16/13 - Mark it on your calenders!

Addresses - If you follow along on Facebook, you know our house was broken into this summer. :(
So all your addresses were on the stolen computer. I might need some of them again.

home phone - Wes and I have to have one to be foster parents - I'm not looking forward to one more bill!!

That is so sad, Nabbie :(

Yay for setting the date, Cel! I'm using a lot of DVC points for Mari's honeymoon and the Hilton Head trip after the wedding. Will have to see if I have any points left or can borrow some for next November!!!

a great deal of traffic in our hometown...Patrick Dempsey is here for the annual Dempsey Challenge....his mom had breast cancer quite a few years back and he wanted to challenge people to donate to the new cancer center at the local hospital...so its now turned into a weekend event...biking 100 miles, and shorter biking miles, and a run and a walk...he is very amazing...he gives back to the community that he grew up around...he is a cool dude..

I rolled over on my arm that I had the flu shot in and OMGOODNESS almost fell out of bed...talk about a boo boo..hahaha...just very sore...

Cel...i am so wicked excited for you...you are a great person and I am sure that Wes knows that already....congrats to you both...

Hope you all have a great weekend

I get my flu shot monday. It's only my second time, but I figured it's free, so why not.

Just came back from a weekend away with my hubby. We left the kids for the first time overnight with Nicholas in charge. But they text so much I don't think they had time to miss us. :lmao:

We went to a casino/hotel and went to see Jeff Foxworthy this afternoon. He is so funny, a redneck for sure. Went to a fine dining resturant on Saturday night. I am not a fine dining girl. Didn't know what to order but what I did looked like Hamburger helper but richer and had steak in it instead of hamburger. Then saw someone's salmon and wished I would have ordered that. They did give us the biggest and most delishous butter tart to share. That was with the meal itself, that and the french onion soup. This was all for our anniversary which is tomorrow....18 years. Time flies.

Told hubby I would give Nicholas my winnings of 41.50 for babysitting but lost that this morning when we went back in. Hubby made up for it with his $100. But I think overall we came ahead $5.00 :rotfl2: Not enough for McDonald's on the way home.

OMG...CELERY...AMBER.....CONGRATULATIONS...your ring is beautiful and I am wicked excited for you and your hunny...

Today it is warmer then it has been in days...55 already...tomorrow may hit the high 60s...we are having a heat wave ...a tropical heat wave...hahaha..

I am having my favorite cup..(actually it is a big cup that holds almost two) and I am sitting here thinking...what to do with a warm day...hmmmm

FIRST we have to wait for Dish Tv to call back and get that started...we already contracted with Fairpoint to get the phone and internet...We were so sick of Time Warner and their ridiculous prices....180 a month is a lot of money for losing service all the time...and when we lose it I get MAD...yah me..hahaha.. At least we can keep our phone number...but our email will change too...so I will tell you all when it happens....Or when it takes effect...maybe I will email you our new one and then when we get the date you can start on that one...

Yesterday I made bread in the bread machine.(oh so easy and I love the smell of fresh bread) and then chocolate cream pie...and then seafood chowder ..I forgot the clams but the haddock and the shrimp / potatoes were still good in it...I love it when it is cold out..

see ya later gators

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU NAB AND HUBBY

you should of seen Patrick Dempsey with the scruff on his face...he is so willing to have photos taken all on the rides and walks and anything to do with the Dempsey Challenge...some of my friends have photos taken each year...he is adorable ..no doubt about it...hahaha..

Trying to register Chad and myself for the passholder preview weekend for the FLE, but in typical Disney website fashion it's not working. I give up. :confused3 Hopefully they will still be letting people in this Friday. :headache:

We are all excited and counting down the days until Thursday! We'll get up really early and leave by 5:30am. I think we are going to do Epcot on Thursday and Magic Kingdom on Friday. Then Saturday morning we'll hit DTD before we head home.

In November Chad and I are going with some friends for a weekend. Looking forward to that too.

I've been making our own yogurt lately. I am so excited that my kids like it. :thumbsup2 We flavor it with honey, vanilla, cinnamon and fruit. I make a berry sauce, that is just frozen berries a little water and like 2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup. After it's all cooked I use my stick blender to make it into a thick sauce. That is very good on the yogurt. Chad won't eat it, he is more of an artificial flavor kind of guy. But the jokes on him because I refuse to buy it anymore. :duck:

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby, Nabbie! Leaving the kids home alone was a BIG step!!!

Pumba, we had the warm weather yesterday, but it was still pretty drizzly. Back to cold weather today :(

Cel - Congrats on your engagement! :) SO exciting!!!

MommyP - I always have good intentions of making my own yogurt toppings, but I never do it, so I'm just buying key lime Greek yogurt these days. I remember making yogurt with my roommate way back when I was in college ...

But I am making white chicken chili tonight for our Bosses' Day luncheon tomorrow!

Thanks for the best wishes. My wedding day was warm and sunny , yesterday was anything but. Brrr windy and rainy. Looks like we are going to have a repeat today.

Hubby took us all out to dinner last night since we already had our romantic one on the weekend. That was fine with me. I didn't have to cook or clean it up.

Mommy P-- Wow wish had your ambition. I am too lazy to cook from scratch. Know it is so much better for you though. I remember my FIL was surprised when I didn't make my pancakes from scratch, nope from a box ....MIL made everything scratch and they never ever ate out.

Moo-- Wedding must be soon, keep forgetting the date.

Pumba--I have a bread maker but haven't had it out in years, maybe I will have to dig it out now....I do love fresh bread and the smell, my favourite smell ever. Love going into the grocery store when they are baking it.
