Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

TGIF! Super busy week at work. I am SO happy the weekend is finally here!

We are really getting hit with the cold and snow, though. The drive home was rather scary with the roads being so slippery. I took some back roads part way because the freeway was very icy.

Same here Moo, just came in from getting Nicholas from the dance. He was volunteering so we had to go out. Snowing right now but suppose to get to -20 tonight so they think it will be really bad in the morning with a flash freeze overnight. I am ok but hubby has to come home in the morning from work.

We can stay in tomorrow and have a p.j. day. Don't need to go anywhere. Hubby will sleep all day so the kids will have to be quiet but they can do it. Computers, games and TV will keep them busy. Wash and reading will keep me going. Maybe even a nap... really tired lately.

we are expecting snow this afternoon...and I am going to the DISNEY ON ICE show with my DIL and the two munchkins...wont be home until this evening...

Our granddaughter is sleeping...she and her boyfriend came here for the weekend because he has an interview in another city close by...for development something or other...he gets his Masters in May...the day we fly out to go to Disney...so we miss his grad again....last year he got his BS and we missed that too...

We sold the antique Oak round parlor stove and hubby is putting the money into a money order and sending it to his brother...of course his brother said he would throw away a check if we mailed it...so hubby is doing the money order one...that way ..its not us anymore...hahaha...we are sneaky...it was bil's stove from the parents house...hubby got things he wanted...and the other brother got things he wanted...they all were happy...but we have had the stove for the last upteen years in our house and then in this house..we took care of it ..

well I guess i should get off this thing and clean up a bit...have a great day my friends...no matter where you are..

and nab...boys....girls....drama....stuff.....one day at a time ...cause some time it will end and then you will look back and say.....how come my baby is turning 40 in a few weeks (my baby ..daughter will be 40 at the end of the month)..

Pumba -- How was the ice show? We see it advertised all the time but have never been to one.

We have been getting snow all weekend. Enough to shovel, maybe 2 inches. Then it is suppose to be nice and sunny again tomorrow and warmer so it will all melt. Got to love this winter weather. Hannah wanted a snow day, that is not going to happen.

Nicholas had me go to the mall after church to find his girlfriend a Valentine's gift. She has a peanut allergy so all the boxed candy was out. He ended up getting her Hersey Kisses and a small teddy bear. Hannah bought her dad a Toberone in a box shaped like a rose. I was looking at cards but was not going to pay that much for card , even for him. I will use Hannah's construction paper and make him a paper heart.

Sad to see Whitney Houston died yesterday. I loved her music but she was in a bad place for a while with drugs. I will catch the Grammy's tonight to see them pay respects to her. Of course my kids don't know who she is , she was in my time I guess. Thought it was funny of ABC to have a special report saying she died right in the middle of watching Charlie Brown's Valentine's show. Hannah was like who is that.....

the Ice show was amazing...the lights and the music...I felt like I was in Disney ...Megan was in awe...she was hopping in her chair and clapping to the music...she was so excited...Of course I didnt think that kids would appreciate the skating and the talent of these young people..It was fantastic..
This was a Christmas Present from my grandkids...to go with them to see this...After we went to Mcdonalds...Fil and I wanted chinese but it was owens turn to choose..SOOOOOOO I splurged on my diet and had two cheeseburgers small fries and then a vanilla shake with a cherry and also whipped cream...BOY DID I GO OVER MY CARBs..but it was good...I get Mc D's maybe three or so times a year...I love those little bitty onions...hahaha

see you all tomorrow my friends

It was interesting to see how the Grammys handled Whitney's passing. Kind of sad, especially Jennifer Hudson's song, but I thought they did a pretty good job. I was really excited to hear Adele sing after her vocal cord surgery and loved seeing how many Grammys she won. I think it's time for me to purchase her CDs. I also enjoyed Bruno Mars' and Taylor Swift's performances. Nicki Manaj, Dead Mau5 and Foo Fighters . . . not so much!!!

Pumba - Glad to hear that you enjoyed Disney on Ice!

Nabbie - I had a pretty low key weekend. I think I am still in a bit of a funk after cruising and getting a taste of the warm weather in Florida and the Bahamas!!! I have been too lazy to upload and post any vacation photos. I'll try to do that sometime this week.

HOWEVER, I should be able to book our Aulani fall trip on Wednesday!!!!! Hopefully, getting that settled will get me out of my doldrums. Flights to Hawaii are super expensive :( I need to figure out how to find a better price. I may see if Disney is able to get a lower fare.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !

We don't celebrate much here for it. I bought hubby some candy, the kids too. Just those small heart boxes. I know Hannah went out with hubby and I on different trips. She was up in her room wrapping something for both of us. She got her father a toberone(the box is shaped like a single rose) so that is what she probably got me too. Uses her own allowance so this just makes her so happy. We made hearts out of construction paper to make cards last night too.

Hubby is off today so will spend the day together. Maybe even hit McDonalds for lunch. To busy to go out for dinner. The restrurants will be busy and Hannah has Guides tonight.

I love the little bitty onions in Mcdonalds burgers...my favorite ...

GOOD MORNING ...the sun is out and hopefully we will get out of the teens in temps today...I put on my acorn warm socks..my feet were cold..HAHAHA..

I am making homemade mac and cheese for hubby tonight...that will be his valentine gift...he does like it...

Yesterday our neighbor from the other house called and said that two men were going into our house...so she called me...turns out they were probably the appraisers..I did email our realtor even though she is on vacation someplace SOUTH...she said they are not always on time...so that Wednesday day they were supposed to be there ...they didnt...so glad that is done...now to sit and find out the outcome...it should be fine according to my realtor...she is a gem by the way..

need to go and see how many days till we go someplace WARM....my sister in Hernando said she was cold the last few days down there...I said that doesnt seem right....go south to be warm ...not to freeze...hahaha..

Have a good Valentines day everyone

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Had a nice Valentine's dinner with my sisters tonight! Hubby and I will go out to eat at my cousin's restaurant this weekend for a belated Valentine's dinner.

I found some Dr. Who etched pint glasses on-line and gave them to him last night. I had wanted to make up a little for his Christmas stocking stuffers being a bit light!

Happy late Valentines day!

Still nothing much to report, except I got the hospital bill today from my stay in December. 4 days, and not counting all the radiologist bills...
Wait for it.........................

$39,310.09!:scared1:
So far my share is $3,600. but not sure how much more to come. Plus the Radiology bills in the 1000's :scared1:

On the other hand, did you all see our little PJ is pregnant :faint: She posted a sonogram tonight 15 weeks.

Marita-- Wow on the hospital bill, glad you have insurance to cover some of that but still ...ouch. I will have to go check out FB now. Haven't been over there in a while. I do miss all the others posting here.

Well Hubby did get me a charm for my bracelet , it was a heart keeping with the Valentine's theme. And we went out to Jack Astor for lunch. Do you guys have this resturant? It was nice just the two of us usually during the day it is McDonalds and these resturants the kids are with us.

Hannah's report card came home yesterday , she did very well mostly A's and B+ . Still waiting on Nicholas, that one I really want to see.

what are etched pint glasses/??
I have thunk and thunk and thought again and dont know what they are...

Good morning everyone...
I Know that hsopitals are expensive...when hubby had the hunting accident 8 years ago..his bill was close to 100,000...scared me to death...but good insurance took care of it all except the hospital up north..50 bucks and 250 bucks for our hospital bill...we happily pay our insurance monthly and dont complain ONE BIT...My finger in the garage door hospital ER bill was close to 500 and then 200plus for the radiologist...go figure..

I saw that itty bitty sonagram...isnt it the best in the world to see something so precious as that...

have a good day...going OUT with DIL and dont know where we are going...but we will go someplace..

Mairta-- That was the most confusing conversation about that sonagram. I was with you who's baby was it? No mention of a boyfriend either so I was with you very confused. Then they though in all that other stuff with the sisters.

Pumba -- I think Moo means beer glasses with Dr Who etched (picture) on the glass.

Looks like the sun is coming out today and suppose to be another warmer day too. :goodvibes Got to love this winter hope we don't pay for it later.

Yes, you're right, Nabbie - The glasses are etched with Dr. Who designs! Sorry that was confusing, Pumba!

Marita - I'm thinking that sonogram was of an animal . . . !!!

You think it looked weird too? didnt even look like a baby :confused3 But I didn't want to be rude.

Maybe they are pulling an early April fools on us all :rotfl2:

Pumba, $50 payment for a 100,000K bill? I want YOUR insurance for sure!.

Having lunch with Khaki tomorrow, so I am looking forward to that.

Hope you had a good lunch with Khaki, Marita! Wow, sounds like you have a hefty co-pay on hospitalization. I think my knee surgery will be pretty well covered.

Forgot to post yesterday that I made our Aulani ressies for September. Before I made them, I read a pretty negative review about the resort by the Mousesavers website person, so that freaked me out a bit even though most of the reviews I have read have been pretty positive -- it was mainly complaints about how expensive the food was and that the quality wasn't up to Disney standards. She also groused about her excursion being canceled. I'm thinking that we'll get some food at a grocery store and prepare a fair amount of our meals in our villa, since we'll have a two bedroom with a full kitchen. I was only able to book 6 nights on-line because I had to bump up a level above Standard and that was all I could do with my points, but I think my hubby is happier to stay 6 nights instead of 7. Now I need to figure out air fare (OUCH!) and travel insurance. But it is nice having our accommodations booked!

Moo, wow, Aulani, that sounds great!

I know early on they charged something outrageous like $32 for refillable mugs, but since then they lowered it to around $19, so maybe it won't be so bad. But anyway you cut it, Hawaii is expensive! I'd love to go someday.

2 bedroom villa? is someone going with you? I hear you on airfare, Montana is like $650 pp, and it's a little hole in the wall. Maybe, that's why, LOL.

Had a very nice lunch with Khaki today, it was fun discussing things and people. popcorn::

I would have taken tomorrow off, but we have a meeting with the GM I really want to be at (for 30 mins), so I am biting the bullet and going to work.
Next week is the big Mardi Gras celebration at Port, which should be lots of fun. Lunch and prizes for the CM's and then a parade of decorated pargos with music (theme: Disney through the Decades). The CM's throw out beads and coins and candy to the guests along the parade route.

Marita - Your Mardi Gras festivities sound fun :goodvibes One of my co-workers brought in jambalaya, gumbo, and pralines last week as a fundraiser for her DD's school.

DD and her boyfriend will be going with me and hubby :sunny:

Our Hawaii trip is to celebrate Mari's 30th birthday!!! :cake:

Moo--Mari is one lucky girl. I remember turning 30. How time flies.

Marita-- Mardi Gra sounds like fun. What people will do for free beads.

Next week I have a potluck supper for Hannah's Guides. I am tempted on taking pancakes since it is Pancake day. Would rather be going to the pancake supper at the church that night. Then I don't have to cook. For some reason her troop has to bring an entree. I would prefer dessert. One groups is bring buns , plates and napkins. How easy is that.

Long weekend is upon us. We have family day on Monday. Stat holiday here. Not sure what we are going to do though. Hubby is off work too :woohoo:

My Mom's Birthday is tomorrow or Sunday take your pick. She always thought she was born on the 18th but her birth cert. says the 19th. We figure she was born after midnight and her parents didn't noticed. She was born at home so they would have had to tell them what time you would think. The news paper announcement says the 18th I think. She will be 79. We might just have to go to visit her. Nicholas church job gets in the way , it would have to be a day trip and it makes for a long day.

OMG it wasnt a real baby sono....I have looked at some weird ones and I couldnt tell one way or another what it was...

I have been not up to par yesterday and today...Ava was sick today so I got to not get dressed and stayed close to the facilities....use ones imagination..

We have a closing date..march 1st..so hopefully all goes according to plan and it is a done deal March 1st...I will be nervous until that day is over with...

I smell popcorn and I doubt if I want any...I did eat some supper ...Breakfast and lunch consisted of english muffins...easy to make and eat..

My DD passed her last test to be a special ed teacher..It is called a Praxis 11 test here in Maine...she is taking her last class too...then she only has to take a test every third or fourth year...she was so happy ...

she is on vacation next week but her school has to go in for two mandatory days ...she is okey with that so she doesnt have to use her earned time ..she is saving it for our vacation and also this summer...she has two weeks off after public school is done and then they have classes for five weeks and then the last two weeks before they go back in the fall she has off...these type of kiddos need the consistency of school..

hope you all have a great weekend ..

Pumba, congrats to your DD! I hope the closing works out for you, keeping all appendages crossed.

Moo, great that you get to go with Marie and her friend, should be lots of fun.

Nab, funny about your mom not being sure about her birthday, LOL. Have a safe trip if you go.

I have to go to a baby shower tomorrow, which is both good and bad.
Good, because it will get me out of the house for once. Bad because I really want to start getting my nails done again (I Know!!), but no time with the baby shower. I really wish they were open Sundays...

Have a great weekend all!
