Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Nabbie - Glad you and Joe enjoyed the rum cake! I gave one to my friend Janice who was originally going to cruise with me, but I haven't heard how she liked it. We had a message from her today that she had a blood clot in her leg over the weekend and was given blood thinners and had to be airlifted to a bigger hospital. What a way to get a helicopter ride!!! She said she'll have to be in the hospital for a few days, so prayers would be appreciated that she has a full recovery :goodvibes

I finally took my cruise ticker out of my signature today (Waaahhh!!!) - it's a couple weeks before I can start checking on availability for our Hawaii trip

Pumba - Yay for the good grades and good luck on the house and on getting everything else back where it needs to be  I'm really afraid to get back on the scale :scared1:

Pumba, all appendages cross for a sale of the house!

Nothing much happening here either. Although it IS yet another forecast week, haha. I had 3 days off this weekend, and what did I do? NOTHING!. I was going to start getting my nails done again, or get a pedicure which I need, and get my hair cut. NADA! I'm such a bad couch potato.

I was thinking of what we could do in Montana this year when we go up for DS's promotion. We pretty much did it all last year. So I thought I'd look at an Alaska cruise. HOLY COW! :scared1: $8-12K for a 7 day, and only 7 day available. So I will pass on that. :sad2:

Nabbie - I finally got my cruise photo CD in the mail to you today, self-incriminating (martini tasting) photos and all ;)

My big news today is that I saw the orthopedic doc today and, after all the knee issues I had this past week, am pretty sure I'm going to pursue knee replacement, probably in March. I'll keep you posted.

WEEEeeeYAH! I got on! its been so slow, I cant tell you how often I've given up!

Sandy-- for sure you have to do Harry Potter! Is that your March break? Ours is 12th-16th this year.

I watched Idol. That guy at the end had to be a joke. They don't really show everyone they let though so when it comes to Hollywood week I don't know them either. Every season I say I won't watch anymore then I get hooked in again just like the Bachelor. Mindless TV at it's best. I lead a boring life ....

Yep its our "Spring Break" altho with this delightful weather now - :sad2: can we really enjoy a "spring Break " in FL (our temps are in the 50's - exactly one year ago today was a massive BLIZZARD! -no snow, rain here, no winter coat, no gloves, no hats, no scarves... :sad2:

DH and I watched part of the Bachelor when that girl went skinny dipping dh said - either he cuts her - or she is "winning" (lol like in Charlie sheen voice!) and sure enough, next week she poses with beads and NO TOP - I'm sure a guy knows - she'll "win" it..... sad that I watch!

just got a call from the nurse at my doctors office..
SOOOOO
I flunked a few and got good grades on others...hahaha.
I need to start retaking vitamin D pills...1000 in am and also in the pm..
My tri's are high...my cholesterol is lower then the last time but still high for someone with diabetes..My A1C is down from 6.9 to 6.7...so I need to work on diet and exercise...if I do that then my cholesterol and tris will go down ..
Everything else is okey...oy oy oy..
I hate to measure food and eat right......geesh..

I will do it though cause I dont want any more meds...

aw Pumba I hear you on not wanting any nore meds! there was some work on lowering cholesterol with "homedics" - there was a free Kindle book on it! but its the same everywhere- and its SO not easy - so take the support that's around you, eat more oatmeal, pears, and apples - and walk every day! and honestly, for diabetes, really - take that mineral chromium picolinate - 400 mcg - it really helps to stabilize the blood sugar! ((hugs)

Marita - my (brand new cm - friend) friend really got excited to get a TV for her home - at the CM auction?

NOTHING - its good... do nothing - you've earned it ! truly!!

Also - I was clicking and working the internet - get this a buy one get one free deal came up $1400 for TWO to .... Machu Picchu! (http://www.intrepidtravel.com/perusale) so WEIRD how its cheaper to go so far away ( minus that air travel for me of course!)

its really making me re think travel - at least let us plan and DO CANADA!! so I tell dh!! hopefully next summer!

I've spent a LOT of time looking at Universal sites (debs allears net site has great menus! ) printed out stuff for mom - I sent her links, only frustrated her - dont know why she couldnt get to the disboards... maybe that's a good thing!

Moo-- That is great news about your knee. Can't imagine the pain you feel walking on it all this time. I will keep a look out for the CD thanks!

Pumba-- I am sure your son can come up with something for you to do in Montana. Or maybe he will have you in the kitchen the whole time.

Sandy-- I wasn't going to get sucked in on Bachelor this season but I did. I watched Live with Kelly yesterday and they do a skit from the night before. It was hilarious. Watched Biggest Loser. Conda snd Kim stir up trouble and drama. They all had pretty low numbers so they shouldn't have been that hard on him. But I don't think he will be around long if they don't win there week.

Well I got Nicholas test results back yesterday. They all came back normal thank goodness. So the doctor called it Chronic Funcional Pain. Basically when he is stressed it causes him pain. He described it like some people get butterfly when they are nervous or make them selves sick. He does this when he is stressed about someithing. So when this happens he has a prescription for stomach relaxants. Told him he could go to a therapist for stress management and recommended one. That or do nothing for now. Hard being a teenager.....and a mom of a teenager. :lmao:

I forgot about my dear nephew...He was the type that would have severe stomach problems and ended up going to a specialist too...He had a (back then they said) nervous stomach...he would be violently ill every morning...or if he had to go someplace that was new to him...

Sandy...I am googling this...chromium picolinate ..

yesterday went shopping with my old neighbor...and out to eat for lunch...NOW I WILL TELL YA...Olive Garden is good tasting ...BUT I figured it out and I had probably 76 carbs instead of my limit of 30ish...all I had was the soup, salad and breadsticks..and I only ate one breadstick...the salad is way up there in carbs and so is that delishish chicken gnocchi soup...big big sigh here...but it was DANG good..

have a good day

Well the ground hog didn't see it's shadow so we will have an early spring!

Didn't need the groundhog to tell me that. Today was colder but the weekend is suppose to be pretty nice. All of February is suppose to be mild. I love this weather.

So we made it though exams and the kids have the day off tomorrow for a P.D day. Going to head to my mom's I think.

I watched the 600lb Woman on TLC last night. She had gastric Bypass. It was pretty interesting. She went though a lot. I think I would be the same as her still want the food even though I wasn't hungry. The surgery didn't solve that problem for her.

according to the newspaper...only three of the groundhogs saw their shadow and four of them didnt...so which ones are going to be true..
I am all for an early spring...although our first winter in the new house ...its been cold but not a slew of snow...I mean we arent up to our crotch in snow banks...But you know I dont like to much snow...so that is a given..

Today it is doing the dreaded snow flurries...but these are accumulating...only supposed to be a dusting ..if you catch my drift..

I guess today I will wash those dang floors in the kitchen and dining room...I hate them...

Hope you all have a good day on the start of our weekend

good morning everyone...(hellllllllllooooo) (ooooooo) (oooooooo) anyone out there.........

started off chilly this morning....6 above zero...but right now it is 12...so we have doubled...but the house is warm...Hub made breakfast..and coffee too...AGAIN had to check to see if any hair is growing on my chest..it is a wee bit strong but not horrible strong...I am drinking the rest while I type..well after I lift my hands off the keyboards of course..

today is another good day...A little boy that I took care of..(my neighbors son) the BRAT...turned 12 today...he was born VERY prematurely and weighed just under 2 lbs..he was a skinny little runt and now he is a tall skinny little person..I cant believe that he is 12...he will always hold a special place in my heart....not only because his parents and us are friends but because I took care of him 5 days a week....I remember his mother telling me I had to babysit him or else I would open my door and find him there on the doorstep...made me chuckle..He is a goalie for three different hockey teams and no one would assume he was a tall skinny kid with all the goalie pads on.......to funny..

Hope you all have a great day and those who watch football..hope your team wins...I dont do football...I just like hockey...:woohoo:

Nice sunny day but cold.

My nephew and his wife had there baby on Saturday. He is a cutie. Looks like his dad. :goodvibes

Had a great visit with my mom. I didn't go see the baby because she had a c section and I knew there were a lot of people going to see her the frist day. It is very tiring , I remember. Did get to see pictures on fb.

Now we are home and I have wash etc to catch up on. The guys are all excited about the Super Bowl tonight. Hannah and I are not. I don't even get to see the cool commericals you guys get because I get Canadian content. Catch them all tomorrow on Youtube.

Wow , I get to post two in a row....

Another beautiful day weather wise. Hannah even wore her spring coat this morning. They said Feb was going to be a warm one. I like it. Only thinkg is if we get a little bit of snow or cold it hits us harder.

Kids were tired this morning because they stayed up to watch the Super Bowl. Even got to see U.S commericals this time, usually the Canadian station takes over if it is on a Canadian and U.S Station. I miss a lot of previews this way too. Hannah only stayed up because hubby was feeding the whole time. I went to bed early and read my book.

Semester two starts today, half the school year done.

good morning everyone...

yesterday was an unbelievable day...Ava and I even went for a walk outside...we live up on a hilly area so the wind was blowing a wee bit but the sun and the air was awesome...Ava asked for her trike but I said maybe later...still had some ice in places..
Supposed to be another warm day today too....YIPPEE...maybe high 40s but still a warm day..yesterday reaches the mid 50s ...we had a tropical heat wave almost...hahaha

Electric has been put back in the "other apt house" and the guy that is planning to buy it...has the appraisers coming tomorrow...fingers crossed that it goes well...

Someone called last night and wants the round Oak antique parlor stove...we arent asking for a killing just to get rid of it out of the garage...then some more leg room...or storage room I should say...we will never be able to put the truck in the garage but that is okey..

hope you all have a great day

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I just got nothing to report at all :confused3
Which is better than reporting bad stuff :thumbsup2 Just very routine days without anything interesting at all.

Well winter has found us again today. It is cold out there who would have thought. :lmao:

Nicholas is causing waves again with the whole girlfriend thing. When will it end. I thought she was a nice Catholic girl....you would never know it by what she posts, pictures and all . I check his sites once and awhile and boy the last few were eye opening and troubling. This is not the first time we told them to cut it out either. I am about ready to call her parents. How does one protect there children when they don't thinik they need it. :headache: Who know it would start at 14.

Well nothing on my agenda but the normal cleaning stuff today. At least the sun is out that is a plus.

nothing good to report from here.

I still have a cold, still taking care of 2 dogs. I havent been called to sub in 3 weeks... and dh was let go from his new job (huge anger from me - they hired hi to do one thing - then threw him into something they knew he knew nothing about... and when he couldnt perform it over the weekend, they no longer needed him. 3 guys were hired with dh, all over 40 - the supervisor was 26, asked dh to lie to a client, dh skirted it, and client went 'no thanks' supervisor now in a bad light - so dh is no longer with the company) oh and its my birthday. whoopdeboohoodoo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY!

:dance3::banana::yay::rockband::dancer:party::drinking1:jumping1::cake::cheer2:

HOPE THIS CHEERS YOU UP SOME!

Major bummer, Sandy. But HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! :grouphug:

Marita - Glad you checked in anyway :) Not much new to report here so I can share them. Maybe this weekend.

Nabbie - Yikes! Maybe you need to homeschool Nicholas for a while . . .

Pumba - Fingers still crossed on your house sale :goodvibes

morning all..
TEMP outside is a balmy 14..sun is shining and it is crisp...air smells good..

yesterday the bank appraiser was supposedly due at our house..no one is allowed to go with him...example..the realtor or a bank person or the owners...no one...so our realtor mailed him the key and fingers are crossed...our realtor did say that the potential person is now into this for 1500 dollars...so hopefully the appraisal comes out fine..

happy Belated birthday to you Sandy...and prayers that all comes out okey for your dh...

have a good one everyone

TGIF! Super busy week at work. I am SO happy the weekend is finally here!

We are really getting hit with the cold and snow, though. The drive home was rather scary with the roads being so slippery. I took some back roads part way because the freeway was very icy.
