I won't be around much this weekend. One of Breadman's friends lost their 13 year old daughter in a car wreck on Tuesday.
All his frat brothers are coming in this weekend for the funeral, so I'll be helping out around there.

Please pray for the family of Mary Money. They could use it.

We are not doing anything but watching all the year end shows and if I can stay up late enough the ball to drop. I am getting old. The kids are excited about New Year's Eve though. Lots of junk food awaits them.

Cel, I'm so sorry, that is so sad. As LilG said, a parent's worst nightmare!

LilG, it sure has been busy at WDW, thank goodness. Maybe this means the economy is finally turning around.

Going to work this morning was a nightmare, the cars were lined up for a MILE trying to get through the toll plaza, and then a long line at the Contemporary too. On the way home at 3:30, there were at least 30 cars lined up on he side of the road going towards the toll-plaza, just park there, they could have driven in. Maybe the park was closed and they just waited or waited for fireworks? I have no clue. Hubby said they crammed 52,000 into MGM yesterday and employees said it seemed worse today!

Quiet night for me too. DH has to get up at 1 AM for work, to be there at 3. I am plannng on watching a couple of year/decade in review programs on CNN and CNBC, I love those.

Lynette - I may just have to have my own personal Depp movie marathon on New Year's Day

Oooh, I wish I could do that New Year's Day! I'll be driving hither and yon in a snowstorm (or so it's being predicted) to attend my BIL's wedding.

I spent a good portion of today schlepping around Macy's, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom in search of a dress for said wedding. (I have been on the prowl for several weeks, with no success.) I actually wanted a woman's black tux jacket and snazzy be-sparkled silver vest to wear with one of my 14 pairs of black dress pants, but no soup for me. So instead I am destined to freeze my giblets in a sleeveless purple dress that inspires only indifference in me. Bah.


DH and I attended the wedding rehearsal dinner last night. During the dinner, my MIL, who is only 64, kept talking to me about BIL's fiancee, but kept calling the fiancee Lynette. Her name is Joanne. After the 4th time, FIL corrected her, but it didn't seem to register. Methinks there might be a medical issue brewing there.


I am off to ring in the New Year with Big Daddy. I hope you all are spending this night with those you love most! Happy New Year to all my Moovin friends!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!!

We stayed up late and slept in this morning.

Hubby goes to work tonight. This is his first shift in a long time and I feel for him that it has to be a night shift. Tonight and tomorrow. He took the third night off. He has a lot of holidays saved up.

I have the neighbour kids in playing today. The kids know their holidays are going to an end too.

Was going to start taking the Christmas stuff down today but think I will wait to the kids go back to school.

Chad and I celebrated big...we watched a movie and were in bed by 11. ) I can't even remember the last time we saw the new year in. The movie was awesome though. (The Perfect Getaway)

Let me say I do NOT agree with MP's "YAY" for cooler weather arriving in Florida.
Going to be literally freezing in Orlando, and DH, who has been already sick all week, has to go in to work this weekend and the next few days at midnight for frost control.... in freezing weather, aka frost on the ground, aka COLD!!!!!!!

Been working several hours today, and made some good progress.
Time for bed now......zzzzzzzzz

You often hear about how bad some celebrities are .......well Stephen King rented three huge busses to bring back some of our local troops to spend the holidays with their families.....they left in November and they were still down south at their learning stations.....He is such a giving person....

yesterday we had our LAST family Christmas/new Year party. We had 15 here and I love every moment of it. Just a gathering is always good in my book. Plenty of food that (we ordered) was delicious....and we all had a great time.

Snow was just to say it was snowing....we got about five inches yesterday.....Today it is STILL snowing....and its supposed to get heavy today and into tomorrow and into MONDAY.....what the heck is going on here.....DONT they know I have had enough for the season.....GEESH......mother nature always kicks ya when you are down......A foot to a foot and a half is TO MUCH....
