Nabbie, bummer on the kitchen guys not showing up again today. Hope they come soon. I read in the paper that the founder of Bronner's in Frankenmuth passed away this week. Sad.

Yeah, funny on what you can see on her's -- I mean, who doesn't love a Chevy Nova? Not so funny on mine where you see DW's SUV parked in the driveway, the mailman coming out one door, and the meter reader going in the other (and our meters are outside!).

And the rains came.

DH woke me at 3:30 to tell me the basement was flooding. We've lived here 15 years and that has never happened to us! I woke up and went downstairs to start bagging and moving things. He went down to his business and got the emergency pump and we started pumping.

It wasn't long til the water went down. We have a drain in the unfinished laundry room where sometimes we get a trickle if it rains REALLY hard so I'm not sure if the drain is clogged? Maybe just running slower than the water was coming in? But. The water did get into the finished area of the basement. So the carpet is wet and so is a lot of stuff that was stored in the unfinished area.

I did get back to sleep so I'm just now waking.

Rob... Have fun in Ne-VAY-duh. Here in KY we have Versailles....pronounced Vur-SALES.

tomorrow I have 22 (last count) coming for a visit and desserts....we are going out to an Italian restaurant and then to our house.....I ordered four dozen mini pastries....maybe I should order more.....I dont know......just hope they all don't want coffee at the same time.....mine only does 12 cups at a time.......oy oy oy....
Last night hubby and I had our passport photos done...we look like escaped convicts.....HONEST>....those are horrible.....she said look this way .dont smile.....just a regular face .....look up..so I look like a dufus......oh well a passport is a passport.....today we go and do the rest.....shell out a few hundred and then wait .......we dont need them to go to Disney but we will have them when we visit O'Canada......I love that song....hahaha.

Ack! It sounded llike the trailer was leaking this morning, but it was just rain hitting the roof. Hope it stops raining in your house!
I figure if anyone goes to all the trouble to stalk me by finding out where Miley Cyrus lives, they'll just stalk her instead.

You have to know where she is to find me from those "directions."

Lex - so sorry about your basement troubles. I've always wanted a basement, but that is the part about basements that make me nervous. Hope nothing important got damaged.

Now DS just woke up with a swollen eye. Got him a DR appt. cause he's going to a different part in TN tomorrow with a friend. He gets to go to preschool with me. He's all about it.....NOT. It would take more time to go check him out of school and take him to the DR, so I figure we are closer to the DR at my work, so he'll be helping unload precious children today. Hope this isn't a bad omen for my trip.

I like to have people come but I dont entertain unless we are having a grand gathering...I like that better then family reunion.....alot of hubbies relatives are dying off and we want to get them together again before any more pass away...hubbies mom had alot of siblings and now only two are left....so we will do that again this summer.
TOMORROW night is for my nephew and his wife coming from upstate NY....they are visiting and wanted to see everyone .....only way we can do it....go out to supper and then visit in one place....I will order another dozen pastries....

YUP I look like a hoodlum....in the passport photo....geesh....I could of done better if hubby had taken it.....but for 7.99 each person (2 photos each) not a bad deal....at the post office they charge fifteen each

When we got married 41 years ago this coming May.....we went to Canada for our honeymoon.....THE WORLDS FAIR.....we got in and then got out.....the heat was so bad......like a August heat wave......I thought we were going to be sick ...so we left the Worlds Fair and got to the Granby ZOO....we stayed one night in SHerbrooke and then another night someplace else....heck it was 41 years ago ...I cant remember everything......then we do the White Mts. and then camped in Maine.....long time ago....
I think yu are right about not until 2009 for documents to get in and out of Canada and US.....but that is okey ....we have them.....good for ten years they said....

See Cel, the problem with your logic is that it is LOGICAL. I am guessing your run of the mill creepy internet stalker/axe murderer isn't too big on logic. Also I bet I could find Miley's house and some obssessed fans to help me in about 3 minutes.... IF I was a creepy internet stalker.

This is really just selfish of us.... it would be fa'ar too upsetting to me if we got news that you had been kidnapped and put into a dungeon somewhere. Please go edit or at least add some misinformation.
