1. Another one feeling better! :thumbsup2
2. Wow! $4.69? Are you sure Marita? I mean I know things cost more in Florida than they do here in the midwest but wow! Twelve Whopper Juniors (no onions) are my burger of choice when we need to get-the-kids-fed quick and the everyday menu price here is $1.19. Two Whopper Juniors are bigger than one Whopper and the pair of Juniors costs less than the single Whopper (based on everyday price here with no coupons).

Yes, I studied the menu board. Which is why I was so surprised at the price.

1. At least you've got a tag Marita. :snooty:
You want mine, Rob? It could be arranged for a minimal fee.

Bruno: Lust! Show more lust! I want you to be a DIRTY GIRL! :scared1:

:faint: I thought you were talking to me:rotfl:

Really, it's easy to tell: Hotels charge high prices and no discounts = bad time
Discounts offered = good time. Except now with free dining. Which means it's a bad time. So you are on your own....
Otherwise follow TGM

It makes sense Marita ;)

Nab- sounds lovely! My new house came with a flat top stove and I loooooooooooove it.

I think my laptop is dying. ACK!

I think my laptop is dying. ACK!

That is my daily nightmare, Twinks. I am ready to rush out to the nearest store at any sign of laptop failure. I keep meaning to read up on what to get, but then I never do, cause I really dont know what to get. (And hope the credit card has enough balance on it)

Now that most of my work is done by logging into the server from work, I don't know what I need. I surely don't play games or download tons of things at all. A few pics,a few Eccel files is all I need.

Any advice anyone? JOE?
Of course I should look into getting it replaced free at work first. But I have fears..........

OK better go to bed. It was a bad day workwise, feeling sick, and then feeling better after 7 but not doing any work did NOTHING to help my work situation, so I am waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy behind.
WOA is me!

Good night!

Where are the girls from Sunnybrook farm anyway? DId the ditch us?

Morning. Today the 2 new ones start, wish me luck.

Thanks for all of you comments about the girls. I think they are cute too. I kiss them all the time. Cept when they are winey.:rolleyes1

Nab: When they did my kitchen remodle, they started the demo in the beginning of Novemeber and it was done the week before Christmas. It's so worth it. You will love it!

Wendy: Sorry about the games, I am without a lap top upstairs and have too many kids here, DH is out of town, and I have classes 3X's a week.

Maybe at nap.

So Mimi has a new job this week. She asked the owners of a local CS restaurant she frequents if they would be needing help during Spring Break. They said maybe and she gave them her number. They never called....until Sunday night at 9pm. Could she be there Monday at 10am. Sure! So is working every day this week from 10-3 and was able to pick up a shift at the other location last night. They are paying her $8/cash and she's all over it. Emily is stuck here googling Seussical and watching her brother. Bless his lil heart...all the boys on the street are gone.

NAB....Glad you're back! I was getting worried they took out your computer with your kitchen! I have a gas stove and I love it although the gas/electric combination sounds ideal. The smooth top would be easier to clean however. Our gas stove (and gas water heater) was the only reason we were able to stay in our home during the ice storm a few years ago. There was no power for a week. Anyway, your new kitchen sounds lovely and we'll be expecting pictures, missy!

Monica....Good luck with the newbies!

Marita....I am gooooog at Excel. Can I have a job? (I want that hotel discount!)

Rob....I always wanted to go in early December but then I read Nebo's report re: Pop Warner! :scared: I would definitely NOT want to be at a value during that fiasco.

Wendee! The wuppy returned! Was she embarrassed? Didn't she know you had a house full of kids? I know you're glad she's home. How do the dogs get out anyway? Kid who forgot to close the gate?

MommyP....I agree with Twink...embrace the skort. The skort is your friend. Makes you look like you're still cool enough to wear a short skirt but practical too. I loooove skorts but never find cute ones. Did you say WalMart? They have cute ones every year but by the time I get there, my size is always gone.

Celery....Glad Riley is back too. Handy having your mom out there to look out for your puppy.

Everyone......:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Wait. I am confused now. A Friday is not a workday? Just let me know what days look good and I will see what I can do.

I was kinda picking on you, Marita dear. Nine times out of ten, if you're going to have a work from the couch day, it seems to be on a Friday.
So I was thinking ahead. :)

melinda - I usually like Wal mart's skirts too, but I'm too cheap to buy them at full price.

I have three skirts I need to make for me. And they're all in style.
and I just haven't done it.
Grrr.
I need motivation!

How funny you knew how my doggie got out! One of many kids named "Not Me" left the gate open. She was not really embarrassed as much as EXCITED. Dang, I'm glad she's back! I don't know what I'd do with out her! :flower3:

Guess What? I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!! It's a Miracle!

Wow! Pregnant with no uterus!
I'm impressed!

And I LOVE the motivation poster!!! I feel a new signature coming on.

Hey, Cel! That new signature really brings out your eyes. Stunning!

Boris FINALLY went back to school today. I am still not feeling 100%, so I decided to take today as a day to putter and bum-lay. Don't judge. I have intentions of throwing a few punches at the laundry monster, as well as doing some cooking and baking.

I may also use today's warm-ish temps (58 degrees) to open up the windows of my house in the hopes of blowing all the germs out of here.

stuck here googling Seussical
now there is a Tag :lmao:

What? sum up the fiasco please! I want to go early Dec. I have been mid Dec and it was great at first but by the 19th Fantasyland was a mosh pit.

Not me. Is that a family name? Over here everyone blames the baby for everything.

So last year, we didn't tell DH's parents I was pregnant until April Fools Day. So the joke was we were telling the truth but they wouldn't believe us. However they didn't get it. Another prank gone bad. Oh well.

Happy April Fools Day Everyone!

Moo - Two tablespoons of baby shampoo, two tablespoons of baby oil, about an inch of water in the approved container(rubbermaid number 9 or 6, I can't tell which) and a double roll of bounty paper towels cut in half. Save the other half for the next batch. I've never bought wipes except for vacations. I love them.

Wendy - Flannel squares? No thanks. I'm not too much into washing things covered in poop. ;)

Twinkie - Why don't you just make your own instead of buying the sensitive ones? With my ecxema babies I used Cetiphil(sp?) instead of baby shampoo.

I've tried the butt paste. I hated it. The only thing that ever worked for my babies bottoms was good old vaseline.

There's no way I could bring myself to buy the butt paste.
it's the one with the weird baby on it, right?
:crazy2: :scared:

Viva paper towels in the Cetaphil solution are for the Poopies. Organic flannel serged edge squares are for the pee's or faces/hands.

I figured with my 4 babies and at least 20 foster babies (at different times :rolleyes1 ) I've saved over a half a million dollars just from not buying wipes. ;)

I also puree'd and froze my own baby food into ice cube trays. :cutie:

 Is my cheapness showing again?

Always a good feeling to get some fresh air into the house! :thumbsup2

Hey, that Not Me guy lives at my house also.

Everyone here blames the baby for everything too, except my "baby" is now 7 years old and, yes, while he actually can now do some of the stuff he used to get blamed for when it was physically impossible to do so, he can also talk back now and refute the accusations. What I love is when the older boys blame stuff on him and he hasn't even been home during the time that it happens. I guess some habits are hard to break.

My kitchen guy is not coming until Thursday now. I thought he was kidding but he wasn't. I rushed this morning for nothing. Didn't want to be caught not dressed when he showed up this morning.....:lmao: That would scare him away.

Oh will it gave me a day to take all my samples back and look for a new light for the powder room.

Yes we have no one did it syndrome here too. Like when I was cleaning out the cupboard and found candy wrappers and loose chocolate chips everywhere.

Must have been Buddy the cat! He did it.

This reminds me of a story.

I came home one day (and at least a couple of the boys were home by themselves) to find a Diet COKE spill in the kitchen, over a fairly large section of the counter, down the face of the dishwasher, and onto the hardwood floor below where it had puddled. The 2-liter bottle was laying on its side and as much of the POP as gravity would allow had poured out of it. The boys that were home, of course, claimed complete ignorance and said that neither one of them had spilled it -- I'm pretty sure they blamed it on DS7 (then DS6) who may not have even been home (again, as I stated earlier, that never seems to stop his older brothers from accusing him of anything). Well, I muttered to myself as I cleaned it up, complaining about how no one will ever confess to anything that happens.

I came to find out over the next few weeks that one of our cats, Oreo, must feel that it is his absolute duty to knock over any upright 2-liter pop bottle and also knock them off of the counter to the floor below when it is possible to do so. :sad2: The spill was still whichever boy's fault for not placing the bottle back in the fridge or, at least, tightening the cap back on the bottle , but at least I no longer blamed him/them for knocking it over and just walking away from the spill.

Here is a picture of the true guilty party (though he's only about six months old in the pic and now he is just over a year old):

So either "Not Me" or "I Don't Know" did it?
My cats always tip stuff over! And I can't have any real potted plants...or they'll eat them and barf plant-barf all over the place. EW!
RobIn: Based on the glimpses of you're home you've shown, I'm guessing you like country style?

You guys! I'm a wreck! Clutter makes me crazy!
I have PILES all over my kitchen table and bar and boxes on the floors of Norah's old clothes I'm going to try my hand at selling on "a popular auction site" in "lot" quantities. Little ironed piles of 12-18 months/ 24mo 2T/ 3T etc.

But I just ran out of spray sizing for the iron. My iron works best with sizing, not water. So as soon as the kids wakey, wakey, I have to haul us all over to the Walmart and get 2-3 cans of sizing.

Once everything is pressed, I'll take photos and have my DH splatter them on "that popular auction site". Which we've never done so I'm all nervous.

It's not going to be a fancy ad at all. As plain Jane as possible actually.

Have any of yous sold on "that popular auction site" before?

What should I start my base bid at? I was thinking $1 per piece but don't have a clue. That's what I'd sell them for at a yard sale. :confused3

1. Um, (and in this case that can either be "um" as in pausing or "UM" as in UtahMama) let me remind you once again that RobIn is a MAN and, thus, it doesn't really matter what I like (i.e., it is all up to my DW). I'm not really sure if you'd call it country but I guess there is a tilt in that direction -- definitely one of the sofas is country and we do prefer OAK for most of our non-upholstered furniture.

2. I did once. I sold a nice-looking but broken Laser Disc player (Laser Disc -- early 1990s, big 12" discs -- 30 minutes of video and audio on each side, right before DVDs hit the market) that I was just going to throw out in the trash anyway. I sold it for $40 and it cost about $25 for the box to ship it in and the shipping costs themselves (it was a fairly heavy thing and big too) so I cleared around $15 -- not bad for junk. Obviously, I made it very, very clear in the ad that it was BROKEN (the guy who bought it repaired them).

The one thing I remembered is that three people asked questions about the shipping charges I had listed in my ad (I got the cost for shipping from the UPS website). My basic response was here's the dimensions and the weight, check it yourself -- and I never heard back from any of them.
