I closed my eyes for 2 seconds just sitting on the couch, and all of a suddien it was an hour later!:scared1:

Hi all! Did everyone go to bed now? (well, not Moo, of course. Hi Moo!)

PJ, and all peeps affected, congrats on spring break.May I say I am jealous?
I could tell it's spring break by the line of cars heading to MGM this morning, almost all the way out to the intersection.

I've been sent back to the computer. I'm just an annoying mom and I'm making a nuisance of myself apparently.

DTD....Yes, I'm here there. Your *here*. Thanks for hanging out the sun and warming things up for my visit.

PJ...It IS past my bedtime. WAY PAST! But the kids are still up running around and we're sharing a room with another mom/daughter. So will I be a loser if I just go on to bed. Yes. Probably.

Moo....Cool garden!

Gotta lay down now. Fading fast.

PJ: I know you like Rascal Flatts. Have you heard this song? I heard it tonight, and though I dont care for the group I thought it was really pretty.

You have something against Rascal Flatts? I harumph you. Next, you'll be telling me you have no love for Kenny Chesney. Double harumph!

Gotta lay down now. Fading fast.

Melinda! So nice to see you at this hour!

I am fading fast too. I think I may sleep late tomorrow, since the kids have no school.

I'm still up! Hi, Marita. :wave2: Maybe you're still recovering sleep from all that cruise fun.

Night, Lexi! Glad you dropped by, aka were forced to stay awake.

I don't know the saying about two or even three people's junk. :confused3

And that might even be a bit on the low side. Just sayin. :rolleyes1

BigL, I just know I quoted you! yet it's not there. Anyway, she doesn't like Rascal Flatts adn she doesn't think highly of our kenny either. It's okay thoguh, more for us!

Quick check in - I'm back home from Atlanta (yes Melinda I did go away, but it was to my mom's house = FREE LODGING ;) ) We had a great time, but we went to the Zoo this morning, then back to mom's then the drive back home. I'm wiped out! :faint: I got to see the tornado damage up close and personal. It is like a war zone in downtown Atlanta. :sad2: Hope everyone enjoys their Spring Break that is starting today!

I knew there was a reason I liked that E! person. (although she does like that French Canadian guy)

What about Josh Turner? Craig Morgan?

Arrggggh! First Messenger, then the DIS! This here interweb is conspiring against me, I tell you what.

Well, if she doesn't have any appreciation for good music, that's her loss, right? :snooty:

Okay, y'all...I can no longer keep my eyes open. I'm off to Dreamland.

See you tomorrow! Sweet dreams!

Hey, Allie! :wave2: Sounds like a nice trip except for the tornado stuff. Yikes! must be scary to see. Glad you had a safe trip.

Thanks PJ! We did have a great time. It's just sad to see your hometown torn up like that. It was a good thing we changed our plans and went to the Aquarium earlier in the week because they had the streets (and the subway station we would have used) closed today due to high winds. There is still loose glass hanging from some of the buildings, and the direction the wind was blowing was a risk to people below. :scared1: At least we still have tomorrow and Saturday to sleep in. :cloud9: Enjoy your Spring Break! Oh, and I was :rotfl: at your students comment about living at school. I get the :scared1: look all the time when the preschool kids see me at WalMart. They think I am going to take them away from their mom's since I'm the one that gets them out of the car at carline. :rotfl2:

It's like they can't see you outside the context of "teacher." I'll mention something to my kids about going somewhere or doing something adn they give me that same look.... It blows their minds that I go places other than the school and have a life outside of teaching!

Okay, I am goign to follow Lynette's lead. Night, Allie, and anyone else who is still lurking.

I know I hate sports talk, but can y'all believe Belmont almost beat Duke? Crazy!
I'm about to head home, just checking in while waiting for my mom to get ready.
See y'all later!

Or maybe it was Cel!
:tiptoe: tee hee!

Hi, Cel! Any news on the timeshare yet?

I'll check. things have been busy on my end. (actually getting to work is FUN! And I'm not being sarcastic. )

GOOG MORNING!:sunny:

As you might have guessed, the alarm in my head went off at the usual time this morning. And everyone was sleeping.

So here I am in the *business center* drinking bad coffee, reading the DIS, with bed head and mascara under my eyes. Scary. I'm too embarrassed to go get breakfast as all the people in the breakfast room look showered and fresh.

I brought my cell phone, the room key and a book. Call me.

I guess we don't have to be anywhere until 2 or 3 oclock this afternoon. Which begs the question...why didn't we get a good night's sleep at home last night and drive down today. But that would make too much sense.

Now I'm blogging so I guess I'll sign out.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

I dislike our internal alarm clocks.......I said I was going to sleep in and I was up at six thirty.......looking at the clock saying........What the Heck.....geez

I noticed last night that I am seeing less and less far away......I take my glasses down and can see a little better....so we go in 49 days to Disney and then I think I will plan the surgery........scares me to death.....but told the doc that he will have to knock me out ...cant stand someone messing with my eyes....
Maybe by this summer I can see really good.....both eyes have to be done......old age stinks you know...

So menu for Easter Dinner is ..spiral ham, baked taters, sour cream, pineapple, brocolli, carrots, corn, and squash, and spinach.....little mini strawberry shortcakes.....guess that will have to do........
I would rather have a big shank ham but nooooooooo.....hubby and the rest like this kind of ham.....

He will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. She took him in because it still hadn't come off and wasn't even looking dried up. She was much more diligent in swabbing that thing with alcohol than I ever was with any of mine. Her nurses never once told her about cord care or circ care. Thankfully she is from a big family so she already had experience with newborns and knew all that. Anyway, because it hadn't fallen off the regular Dr. sent her to a hematologist/oncologist amd they took blood. His WBC count was low(he is at moderate risk of infections) and he is anemic. They also said something about his platelets, not sure what. They are testing him first for some protein thing and a blood clotting disorder in case they have to surgically remove it. They did silver nitrate and it has dried up some, but still hasn't come off. They are saying that it'sbecause his WBC are low that his body isn't able to "fight" the cord and make it dry up. They did mention it could be just his age that his body just hasn't made a lot of wbc yet. But why is he anemic too? They haven't said leukemia, just that, "maybe he just isn't make enough white blood cells". I don't think my sister made the conncection to that and leukemia like my Mom and I did.

Well my second to last day with Chad and he got a call for some work today with a friend. That figures.

The boys were going to get the day off of school too. Oh well. We'll do school now. For now they are watching, Monk. It's Jeremiah's favorite show, he got some from the library. :rotfl:

Isaac is calling my name now. I'll have to check back later and read back a little.

ME TOO!!!! Actually sign me up for 7 days then you could be with the professionals during the jaundice scares and when your milk comes in.... It wouldn't even need to be a real hospital... more like a nursing home (ha! get it?). The whole circuisize and send you home on the same day thing :scared:

I get the :scared1: look all the time when the preschool kids see me at WalMart. They think I am going to take them away from their mom's since I'm the one that gets them out of the car at carline. :rotfl2:

I know what you mean! Except my kids are hopeful the teacher will get them:thumbsup2

:rotfl: Go for breakfast. I am always the chick with a baby on my hip and table full of small children all of whom are still in jammies and have bed head. Business travelers smile and nod at me and you can almost SEE the thought balloon over their head "I am so glad I get to go to work today."

1. only 49 days? yeehaw:banana:
2. I agree on the eye thing
3. Thanks for the Easter menu. I am this close to forgetting the whole thing and ordering pizza.

I heard the same story but since my kids were preemies I figured that was it. Also I have lived in a different city for each pregnancy and got wildly different instructions on cord care. I hope that it isn't anything serious.

I love Monk. In fact I got season 1 for Christmas and 2 & 3 for my birthday. My kids like it too.

It is GOOD FRIDAY y'all.

L and PJ: Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney $uck. Kenny is a wannabe cowboy loser. and Rascal Flatts are middle aged wannabe boy band losers. They somehow have duped the American people into thinking they sing country music like professionals but their idiocy is apparent by such songs as "Shift Work", "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy", "Me and My Gang" and that pitiful attempt at "Life Is a Highway". However, as I have said before even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile, so I occasionally find a song that is listenable.

Here is one such example:

One word, that's all you said
Somethin' in your voice caused me to turn my head.
Your smile, just captured me
And you were in my future as far as I could see
And I don't know how it happened, but it happened still
You asked me if I love you, if I always will

Well you had me from "Hello"
I felt love start to grow
The moment that I looked into your eyes, you won me
It was over from the start
You completely stole my heart
And now you won't let go
I never even had a chance you know
You had me from "Hello"

Inside, I built a wall
So high around my heart, I thought I'd never fall
One touch, you brought it down
The bricks of my defenses scattered on the ground
And I swore to me I wasn't gonna love again
The last time was the last time I let someone in

That's all you said
Somethin' in your voice caused me to turn my head
You had me from "Hello"
You had me from "Hello"
Girl I've loved you from "Hello"

and here is another:

When you light those candles
up there on that mantel setting the
mood
I just lie there staring silently
preparing to love on you

Well i can feel the heat from across the
room
ain't it wild what a little flame can make
you want to do

Chorus
I melt
Everytime you look at me that way
It never fails any time any place
This burn in me is the coolest thing that i've ever felt
i melt

Don't know how you do it
I love the way I lose it everytime
What's even better is knowing that forever your all mine
The closer you get the more my body aches
One little stare from you is all it takes
