Ok, time to fess up. I'm king of the geeks. I'm going to a sci/fi convention this weekend, Concave, and in doing some background, came across a reference to a proposed Con at Wigwam Village. An old friend introduced the idea on complete deadpan to a large group of sci/fi dignitaries, if you can imagine that. Here's a poster.

Dh called today and talked to an agent and gave him his name, and they guy said, that sound very familiar. So they got to talking and realized they worked on a project together years ago at All-Star. So anyway, we are BOOKED. Not only that, we are upgraded to a Veranda, which we wanted anyway, but it looks like we might have paid for less, and on the 7th DECK

For about half the price I looked up online yesterday.

So now we have to buy stuff. Nab and WT, I think my 20 yr old bathing suit will have to be replaced for sure. Not that I really care to go swimming, but DH and kids are planning on booking snorkeling and I am thinking of joinng them, althought that thought scares me, I am claustrophobic, and I might take a dip in a pool (or not!) And I need sunglasses (well, need those anyway) and cute clothes. I have NO cute clothes....... And shoes. For 3 days My inner cheap self is not happy with that. I will have to check my closet for 20 year old cute clothes

Nabbie, Lil G, and any other cruisers, any tips? We are going on the Wonder for 3 days to Nassau and Castaway Cay. I will check the cruise boards too.

Marita-- We would be on a cruise right now but we moved it until next year because Hubby couldn't get off. But all is good because I then got to go in Sept. and met some of the nicest people.

Lil'g has been on the Wonder. I have only been on the Magic. Maybe he can give you hints on where to go and what to see.

She attributed the difference to the fact that the princesses at WDW were not animated. She said that an animation like the princess movies cannot possibly look exactly like a real-live person. Mind you, she was 5 when we went to WDW.

Hi Nabbie!!!!

I want to trade my truck in for a Honda CRV. BUT my aunt is on the title and she passed away. Her daughter and I don't exactly get along...so...I'm worried about asking her to help me get her mom's name off...You all wish me luck!

At some point I have got to go to my ex's end of the world to get my bike. I really wish there was another way...Oh well...guess I should do it soon and get it over with.

Work is going good. Another thought to WDW. It's sad that my thoughts of that are conflicting. But like Nab said...I did meet several neet people. And who knows...maybe one day soon I can take another trip there...and have even more fun! We'll see...

Anyway....I'm chilling and trying to relax. Carrying this 10 month old over 20 pound sack of Quentin around is KILLING me. I feel for his mom who carried him even with a cracked rib.

ATTENTION, BBN AND OTHER SPORTS FANS! My point in saying each to their own was that even though some of us on the thread are not sports fans, others on the thread are. Feel free to chat about SPORTS or ANYTHING here! Those of us who don't get what you're talking about will just read past those parts. Just like you and others will read past the SCRABBLE chat and other stuff that you're not into!!! And I'm sure we all read proud parents' sports talk about their kids.

its so funny moo, as the guys were loading in the tot , they responded
by grabbing their shirts [msu players]...they were so , someone
recognized them!.... sports? forget about scoring points..and focus
..on them being a social event with community ties....that's when they
can become..something special. its about supporting our young people
in their endeavors..to assume greater leadership roles...after all, we're
one country, and one team. he,he,ha..i met some die-hard mich.,
fans...but you know underneath..they rooting for the same things, jus
wrong colors. [ ]. you know..they did beat fla?..think about it.

a nurse..has a close family friend..who brother..was on the plane
that crashed..."he was one of the players"..of the thundering herd.
..i think..it was significant.."point"..of the movie....getting back...where
all their games..were just about "winning".

Yesterday was Family Day here (new holiday here) so the kids were making sure we had a family day. So we spent the whole day just us doing things with them.

I am really most excited about going with my kids before they scatter and amking some memories. hopefully good ones!

I heard mention today of snorkerling, scooters and some other dangerous sounding stuff I was not too fon of, but I might just go for it to be part of the group.

And I am taking my Twilight book. I am thinking #1 is all I will need for 3 days, otherwise that would be an awful waste of cruising time.

I am thinking of booking a hot stone massage,I think I read good things about it. Or maybe a massage on the beach. 3 weeks is not much time to plan things

Wow Tammy! Quentin is 10 months old already? Little Grasshopper will be 3 months tomorrow. He has been on a growing streak-needed all new clothes. He finally fits the darling (and oh so warm and snuggly) outfit Nab sent. He wears it to church but I have yet to get a picture of him in it- he always be'urks on Sunday it seems.

I hope PJ is doing ok.

Marita -- you have to do the hot stone massage. We did a couple one when we were in port. They have deals on when you are in ports because most people get off the boat. We did both, meaning we went into Key West and then went back early to get our massage.

Twinkie -- glad Grasshopper fits the outfit now. Glad I didn't get the 6 month one , it would have been summer by the time he fit it....
